This place looks amazing. Reviews were all 4 or 5 before I tried this place . Its the type that twirls u with crystal chandeliers , coffee shots or water every 5 mins, and really belongs in the fantasy of real house wives of Beverly hills. No really. It even has a clothing store attached on the corner. . .. note to self: if a hair salon needs to sell cheap handbags too to make rent , turn in the other direction. Made an appointment with a male... Told he was top colorist. He burned my scalp... left my blonde a brass after an hour of bleach and 20 of toner. He had to try to ask for help from a female stylist who does blonde. ... wait what. Are u a colorist or not? I asked what bleach they use... one I have never used but its suppose to be gentle.... he couldnt even comb my hair because the teeth hurt my scalp. I left and ended with a migraine attack that lasted several hours. I nearly had to go yo the hospital. So now what? If the super Manhattan hype salon sucks, where can I go? 3 months later I still had problems.... I found breakage everywhere in my hair. It look like a child took chunks of my hair in 2 inch sections. If u only use one brand of color and brand of bleach, that says you are a puppet pushing one product because u own those products or stocks in that product. Not every person can use wella or gold and u should be prepared and well versed in more then just one product line. BTW they still charged full price. You charged full price for orange hair that fell out and is brittle as all hell. You think the owner would have said something. You can keep your coffee shots. If I want coffee Ill go to dnd .... cuz their job is coffee....and its good. Iow.....your a hair salon.... you should be good at your job. Btw. The stylist was a nice guy. He might be good at other things.... but he dont know platinum blonde.

After reading the review from Nora, I felt I had to speak out on the behalf of this salon. I have been a customer at DiRosa for years. Its actually the only place on Long Island that I actually use to get any sort of maintance done. The salon was completely remodeled and redone last year. They have no carpets so I am not sure how this woman can make such false accusations. Kristen The stylist she has mentioned colors my sisters hair and my mothers. They both look fabulous and always leave the salon happy with the service they have received. She is one of the nicest and gentlest souls I know. I am the mother of two daughters. The stylists at DiRosa totally get my pain when it comes to winning the never ending battle that my friends mom let them do it. Both Rosa and Karen have colored and cut my girls hair. They treat them like they were their own daughters. I dont even need to say no anymore. If something is harsh these two wonderful stylists tell them, letting me leave the salon like the cool mom. Im not one to write reviews but I could not stand by and let someone tarnish the reputation of this salon. So if you want a great stylish cut by professionals who know what they are doing then you should book your appointment immediately. If your looking for cheap and unprofessional then search somewhere else. DiRosa is a family environment and that feeling is present the moment you walk through the door. Its my "cheers"Its the place where everyone knows your name and they bend over backwards to make sure you leave happy.

This "salon" deserves a ZERO! The absolute WORST and dirtiest salon on Long Island. The rugs are covered in hair, no soap in their bathroom, chairs are covered in old hair dye stains, SO unclean. I had hair sticking to my shoes and all over my clothing. So disgusting. They lack professionalism and treat their clients horrifically. Kristen was so rude, and wouldnt even listen to our concerns and obviously seemed extremely unhappy doing her job. I would never recommend this salon to anyone. My hair came out TERRIBLE and was a waste of money and time. The hair washers are so harsh with your hair while washing and also during blow drying/blowout..i was literally in pain the entire time due to the way she was pulling the brush in such a harsh manner. Easily the worst and most unprofessional place Ive been to on all of Long Island/NYC area.

Ignore any bad reviews on here lol , this Salon is easily one of the Best on Long Island. I say this proudly with confidence and joy . I have seen friends with pretty bad hair situations come out of here looking fabulous. Additionally- going into this salon you wont see ONE individual in here with bad hair- seriously. Go onto their Instagram and see their photographs. They do amazing work. I got my hair consultation and haircut, and hair dye here and it came out even better than I originally expected or imagined . Sal is amazing and well experienced. I had such a fantastic experience and grateful to find such a gem of a hair salon. I highly recommend this salon :) I trust them fully and love my new hair. I am a loyal and faithful customer since Di Rosa opened. Every where I go, I am complimented on my hair and I proudly refer them to Di Rosa. All my friends and family also go to Di Rosa. I am always warmly greeted by the beautiful and talented staff, and if Im lucky, I get to see Rosa on my visit. I leave the salon feeling and looking like a million bucks, when all I really spent was a reasonable fee and some time. I love Di Rosa!!!!

Im more than infuriated with this place. First of all I went in there to get color correction. Showed them a pic of what I wanted and they re assured me that it can be done. $300 later my color was completely different not to metion my hair was extremely dry and brittle. They are way over priced. went down the block from them they got the job done for 1 quarter of the price. I wish I can give this place XERO! NEVER AGAIN

This is my 1st google review & I just have to say BEST SALON ever! Everything was beautiful, clean, professional and new inside the salon. All the staff is kind and extremely helpful with all of my concerns as a first time client. Will definitely be returning again & again :) Kristens color work and Shannons haircuts are top notch. Ive been going to DiRosa for years. Carrin has been doing my color and cuts for most of that time. I always get compliments on my color. Everyone at the salon is friendly, Ive never had a bad experience there. Ive referred a friend who now goes there too. And I have a few other friends that go there as well. If youre looking for a new stylist I highly recommend them.

I love this place. Ive been going to Di Rosa for about 4 years. I always used to get my hair done with TONY, who I love and no one cant replace. If anyone knows where he went please let me know ASAP. Ive go back to Di rosa after Tony left and everyone is great. I recommend Corrin, shes great. However, when youve found your stylist no one else can compare.
