This evening was 3 or 4th time we have been to their new location. We loved this restaurant and ate their frequently over a 17 year period when they were on Peninsula Blvd. Ive never seen a place deteriorate so rapidly. After waiting nearly 6 months for them to open on Broadway we expected the same quality food. Didnt mind paying a little more for the new decor. But youve got to be kidding me! Dont understand how the quality of food could possibly stoop to this new low. Pastrami thats grey in color served on a sale club roll. Chicken soup ( that was once the best in town) served with carrots that were also grey. A simple orange soda had to be made twice, before the waiter admitted the soda fountain machine had been out of order. What the heck happened to the Dr. Brown sodas? potato pancakes that tased as though they had been frozen, defrosted and refrozen then served. Where are the potato pancakes we loved so much... Gone! Franks that tasted like they were days old as well. I dont get it. They tell me its the same chef.. Their take out counter looked like left overs from a Bar Mitzvah party that ended a week ago. Where are those delicious deli chickens? Where is the fresh cooked Pastrami , corn beef? Everything is out of sight and we would taste why. My God Im embarrassed for the family. Four strikes and you OUT.. I feel very badly for the family, but this is no way to run a business. If they want to be successful, theyve got to go back to doing things the way they did on Peninsula Blvd. Price is not the object when you get what you pay for. Im sorry I had to write this negative review, it breaks my heart buy OMG! This place has changed significantly for the worst. Forget about the price, worry about your health after eating her now.

Was here a few times when the restaurant was located on Peninsula Boulevard. My father and his tennis buddies used to frequent the place after games. My only comparisons were the delis in Manhattan and the Woodro held up just fine as I remember from the past. Recently I ate at the new location with another family member: the food was way overpriced and the meal, disappointing. I eat deli, perhaps, every two years and compare my deli to the best places in the city. The food here is not worth the calories.

They just dont give a deal what the place looks like or what the food they are preparing tastes like. They are only in business because of past history in the area and no competition. Rubbery Hot Dogs, Corned Beef with zero flavor. Stale rye bread, Items missing from take out order. Way over priced!!! Id drive an Extra 20 min. to go to the Lido Deli in Long Beach, its worth it!!!

Authentic Kosher deli, the tongue, kasha knish and pickled tomato cant be beat, or easily found these days. Go for my moms favorite, Romanian steak for a real treat. For an unexpected delight try the fried chicken or health salad. Really, nothing can be bad.

Old-fashioned deli serving all the best including matzoh ball soup, corned beef and pastrami sandwiches on steroids-meaning super-sized on delicious rye, brisket, potato pancakes the size of frisbees, and endless creamy Cole slaw and pickles. What a treat!

Used to be much better. Now overpriced with shrinking portions. $12 for a corned beef sandwich thats half the size it used to be. A $75 take out order only included 2 tiny pickles and no cole slaw.

Average all around and extremely standard as far as Jewish deli goes. Same too big $20 sandwiches as any other place and if you decide to share it with someone they charge an additional $3.

The pastrami and potato pancakes were delicious. Woodro has the best sour pickles and cole slaw.
