I bought a Thule cargo carrier for my van and broke the key in the lock . Brought it to a locksmith because no one else would touch it . It was an excercise of skill . I had only one key and it was stuck in the lock , in the open position with no way to pull it out . A $700 cargo carrier was about to be rendered useless . They kept it overnight and the next day they said come get my carrier AND they were still able to make 2 keys for me from the one that was broken. AWESOME!!! They went the extra mile because it was extra work to do what they did . If you have a non conventional key/lock job to do , they are the right people to do it . It cost me $40 , but it was well worth it to me .

Ohmygoodness. I dont know when I last experienced someone exhibiting the rare quality of patience coupled with knowledge. This is what I found in Al today. Frustrated, I walked in hoping for at least a brief explanation but what I got was a thorough explanation of the workings of a lock and knob and how to install both. Three visits to the store and two phone calls later, the DIY job on my 40-year old door was done. Thank you Al. You brightened what started out as a gloomy week. You are my locksmith from now on.

I went there today to cut a very difficult, uncommon key. Service was quick and professional. Since parking in the area is always a pain in the neck they even told me to use their driveway in the future. I was expecting to go back for extra polishing but the key worked perfectly. Good job!!

I lost my car keys and called this company, J Stein Locksmith. I found them on the internet. They were there in a flash and the guy was great. I would highly recommend them! Good to know there are still honest locksmiths around!
