So while in town yesterday my mother and I stopped in to see the new ULTA. BAD EXPERIENCE. While the store is new, it is hard to find tissues to wipe the testers off of your skin if you try to test the color of a product so take a bunch when you find them. No one offered to help us find a color or product, and the store was not busy at all. When I asked about a perfume sample, I was told they do not make them for customers. THEN when checking out I gave the girl at the register my ULTA card which has my birthday in my profile and I told them it was my birthday month. I was told unless I could pull up the email they were not going to be able to do anything and couldnt give me my free birthday item. WHY? you see its my birthday and I am not lying. She did call a manager over who said "yup, I see it is your birthday month but sorry we need your email to scan the bar code" WHY WOULD I EVER SHOP HERE AGAIN, when SEPHORA will do all the things you wont do for me ULTA? I am disgusted. Get your act together because service matters!!!

The girl doing eyebrows has no clue what shes doing. Sophia is her name, avoid her if you dont want to feel like you wasted $21. Ive been to other Ulta brow bars, and they are really thorough, and make you feel like its worth the cost. They are skilled, and they follow very specific guidelines. She did none of those, and has no experience doing eyebrows. She told me she decided it would be fun, and so she applied for the job. Most of the sales people there have no knowledge of the products, and theyre more of a bother than anything. To shop there its fine, no where else in Kingston has those products. But definitely avoid getting your eyebrows done there until they ultimately hire someone else.

For Christmas my daughter bought me 2 cans of hairspray for my stocking. She knew the brand but wasnt sure if there were different styles of that particular brand so she asked the salesperson and was told that there was only that style so she bought them. Unfortunately, they were the wrong style so I took them back to the store with the receipt just to get an even exchange and was told I would have to pay $16 because they were no longer on sale. I work in retail and I have never heard of such a thing. They were an even exchange!!! The salespeople were not helpful at all and rude. I will not be going to this store again. Not a very good way to run a business!

The hairstylist was very nice... but not experianced at all! I wanted a long with layers bob! I got a choppy cut she cut a side bang for me that looks like a blob. I left upset but didnt say anything bc I do t like to complain but I went home and tried to style it to see if I could make it work.. and its was horrible I cried! Then called and told them how I was upset with my haircut the only thing they offenders me was to have the same stylist or the manager fix my hair.. idk if Ill go back to get it fixed Ill go somewhere else! Ask for an experienced hairdresser before going! Wish I could post pictures of it!

The shelves are constantly under stocked and out of order. The sales assistants never talk to you on the lower end side of the store. On the high end of the store you get stalked and pestered about what to buy. The cashiers are unfriendly and apparently incompetent. When I tried to exchange my dip brow for a different color the cashier rang up my old one and put it in my bag again. Id rather walk around with dark eyebrows then ever have to buy something in that mess of a store again!

I am new to makeup and a new customer at Ulta. The girls there have been very helpful and kind. The first foundation I purchased did not look good on my skin once I brought it home and tried it. I was able to return the used product with no problem. One of the girls sat with me and we tried several other foundations until I was satisfied. I love shopping there. I have not tried any of the services but shopping there sure is fun!

I had a wonderful experience at Ulta. The prestige girl, Mackenzie, was so sweet and helpful! Leading me to picking the perfect shades of foundation and eyeshadow for myself and also introducing me to new products that I absolutely love now!! I will definitely be going back to Ulta, thanks to Mackenzie and the excellent customer service she provided :)

I went in twice this week, and on both occasions the staff were super helpful and patient with my endless questions. Makeup has changed a lot over the years and they helped me catch up with all the trends and tools available. I spent a lot of money, but Ill keep coming back for the expertise and the great customer service!
