It took me a lot of time and thought to review this venue. I was not sure where to start. I am not one to complain eor leave a bad review. I dont want to make a scene especially a wedding. My husband and I attended a wedding here a few weeks ago. The small waiting area was not large enough for the guests to wait for the ceremony to start. This led to guest waiting standing in the parking lot. There was a crossing guard was helping guests cross the street to the ceremony by the lake. The traffic that was stopped continuously honked at the guests and yelled profanity at the guard. It was not a welcoming experience. During the ceremony the wedding and ambiance was beautiful. However the fact that the wedding takes place near a busy road, the sounds of cars, trucks and motorcycles made it very hard to hear the ceremony music, vows and speeches. It was constantly interrupted by the sound of traffic. Cocktail hour was held outside (so we thought), guests were not notified that there was a extra room inside the venue that was available to us to enjoy food. There was not enough seats and tables for everyone to sit and eat. You would have thought that one of the wait staff would have notified some guests to move inside where they would be more comfortable. You would never know there was another area unless you went inside to use the bathroom. Since 98% of the wedding was in the outside cocktail area, food was always slow to be replenished, Forks and utensils were often empty with no seating and only 1 bar for over 100 guests. Cocktail hour food featured shrimp with pasta Alfredo (Alfredo was just butter and oil with pre packaged mini shrimp) over cooked seafood paella, and stuffed eggplant that was texture lacking. The cold pasta salads were way over salted and inedible. The mashed potato bar was a nice touch however the server was eatting mashed potatos as he was serving guests. Dinner food was average at best. None of the steaks were cooked correctly to order but I can forgive that. We just traded steaks with other family members at the table until we were all satisfied. By this point my date and I didnt have high hopes for anything decent to eat. The wedding candle centerpieces that were provided by the venue melted within the first hour of the reception that got hot wax all over the table cloth and plates. The desserts were delicious however I would be careful when pouring your milk into your coffee. There was brown stains on the inside of the small pitcher. I hoped it was only stain in the porcelain but I was able to wipe the brown residue with my finger and wipe it off with my napkin. I will never recommend this venue. There are so many other local venues with a similar budget, that will not give you terrible food and dirty plates

My daughters wedding reception was at Windows on the Lake last weekend and it was the best ever! We had a fabulous time thanks to Ron, Anthony and their wonderful staff and service! From the very beginning, Ron was honest, professional and a pleasure to deal with. The food was over the top, delicious at both the cocktail hour and the dinner. The cake was made by the baker on the premises exactly the way my daughter wanted and it too was exceptional. Although it was a rainy ,cloudy day we were able to take many photos outside. They had the heaters on and all of our Floridian family was able to keep warm. The maitre d Frankie was great along with the DJ who kept everybody dancing the entire night! I know that the bride and groom had the best time of their lives and they were so happy. Another great feature about the wedding was that Ron, from Windows, arranged with the Marriott Courtyard to transport our guests to and from the reception in a coach bus. The after party was held at Smoky Bones which is in the parking lot of the Hotel!!!! I cant say enough about the wonderful time we all had at Windows on the Lake and thank you all for making this day so memorable for my family and the bride and groom! I will never understand another negative review!

After attending a bridal expo, I thought this was the perfect venue for my wedding. The cocktail food was great, staff and vendors were amazing. A few days later, we made an appointment with Frank to book a date. Unfortunately, there was some huge confusion about the winter package pricing. I was told one thing at the expo, and another at our meeting. And when I respectfully asked if it was possible to sample an entrée prior to the wedding (as every other venue weve met with has offered), I was told no and that I should go book with another venue instead. And after that, we were told 16 other couples were meeting with Frank that very afternoon (which is physically impossible). So if we didnt book right then and there, we wouldnt have a wedding date in 2017. Very unfortunate. We thought we found our perfect wedding venue, and now were back to square one. I couldnt see dropping so much money only to be disrespected like that.

So I am planning my daughters Sweet 16 and called various venues to set up an appointment for a site visit. My visit to this place was a terrible experience. I was at the venue for about 10-15 minutes. I was only shown one room (rainbow room) and told that would be where the event would take place. Then I was told that for 120 people the cost would be $17,000 and how that included "everything." When we sat down and I tried to get the details on what "everything" consisted of it was impossible to get any answers. The person that attended me, which I am assuming was Frank as that is whom I spoke with when scheduling the appointment, never even introduced himself. This visit in comparison to the others Ive had was horrendous. Dont waste your time!

We just started planning our wedding and we were nervous and overwhelmed with looking at venues. The minute we walked into Windows on the Lake we knew we were in great hands. Everyone who greeted us was super friendly and approachable. We were introduced to Michael who made us feel SO comfortable. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful in aiding us with planning our dream wedding. He answered every question we had and made us feel like we were talking to an old friend. We are now officially booked at this beautiful venue and could not be happier with our choice. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

My husband and I were optimistic that this was the perfect venue, till the wedding day. We were taken for a ride - despite having contracted and paid for alcoholic beverages, none were served; we never received a refund for a wedding cake despite it being brought from the outside and distributing favors were totally messed up. End result was having to sue the owner and venue. Despite the staff being well versed in customer service, the venues owner is unconcerned and disconnected from his customers. His only saving grace is his salesman.

ABSOULTELY AMAZING ...... We just had our wedding on Nov 25 2011.. We were so happy we booked this venue not only were we the only party for the day the food was incredible.. Our families loved it from beginning to end. The stafff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed as well as our guest. Our bridal attendant Brittany,Frank the manager, and Frankie the maitre d made sure everything ran smoothly from beginning to end.. They made my dream wedding a reality .. I would book them again in a heartbeat.
