Kim is simply AMAZING and a creative genius! I went in for a quote on flower arrangements for my NY Yankee baseball themed baby shower feeling slightly disillusioned after visiting another florist in the area. The arrangement I wanted consisted of white hydrangeas, green trick, and baseballs displayed in a clear vase with peanuts. The previous shop was charging me a significant amount of money, plus I still needed to bring in my own supplies (a vase, peanuts, baseballs, etc). Kim was warm and welcoming when I walked in her shop. I showed her what I wanted and she said she could do it all and then some for the same price as the previous shop I went to. The best part was that shed provide all the supplies! I opted to bring in my own baseballs but she took care of the rest. I nearly cried when I saw the arrangements displayed at my baby shower. She went above and beyond. She mentioned she would be adding her own little details to make the arrangements unique to my theme but what I got blew me away. She added a tiny NY Yankees plaque, a miniature baseball bat, and much more. Its not just an arrangement, its a keepsake. Im going to proudly display these arrangements in my sons nursery. I absolutely love her and her work and Im sure you will too!

This is the second time I have used KM Designs and it will be the last. My fist experience was good and my mom said the dish garden "couldnt have been prettier. Last week I called and ordered a succulent terrarium which was delivered on Saturday. While the succulents are beautiful, it is not a terrarium. ter·rar·i·um təˈrerēəm/ noun noun: terrarium; plural noun: terraria; plural noun: terrariums a sealed transparent globe or similar container in which plants are grown. What she got is not only unable to be closed, it flares out at the top. Its a dish garden. When I called KM Designs and explained that what was delivered was not what I ordered, the owner started yelling at me on the phone and telling me, "well that is our terrarium". I tried to talk to her about it however was unable to get a word in between her yelling. I finally hung up. She then called me back and started yelling at me again. If it was a simple mistake or misunderstanding, OK. But to me, yelling at the customer and calling them back to harass them is on acceptable. Very unpleasant encounter with a very unpleasant person.

I have been using Kim as my florist of choice practically since she first opened her location in Sugar Loaf. From the first time I engaged her services, it was evident that she is an artist using flowers as her canvas. I work as a professional actor and need flowers for professional needs, such as Broadway opening nights. as well as personal. I can always count on Kim to provide me with a bouquet that is memorable and impressive. When I ask her to make up a special arrangement for my wife, who is a former professional ballet dancer and an artist in a variety of fields, she is always astounded by the beauty of Kims choice of flowers and artistic presentation. Ive called on her to provide me with last minute orders and she always comes through. Shes even hand delivered them personally, always going the extra mile and showing the quality of service shes willing to provide. I cant imagine using another florist for any occasion and Im sure after using her once, everyone would feel the same way!

We gave K&M a try when its doors first opened 3 years ago and have never looked back. Kim is worth her weight in gold with her endless creativity and talent, as well as her genuine interest in the people she serves. She listens to what the customer wants, executes flawlessly with great artistry, and follows up to ensure satisfaction. Her designs are exquisite and very unique; guests always take note of any arrangements that grace our home (quite often). She offers quite competitive prices for truly custom work, and I cannot recommend her highly enough, as Ive never seen floral artistry like this before. On a personal note, upon recently receiving another gorgeous arrangement for my 10-year wedding anniversary, I found nestled among the flowers a beautiful hand-written note from Kim, extending her congratulations to us. Such a personal touch is simply not found in most establishments and highlights why K&M is a cut above the rest and why we head there for all our floral purchases.

Flowers are an expression of emotion, meant to make someone smile & feel thought of. I have received 2 arrangements made by KM Designs and both times there was more than just a smile on my face, I was glowing as bright as the flowers themselves. Ive received arrangements from other places in Middletown and they were OK. The gesture itself was the smile kicker, not so much the flowers. KM Designs puts that extra love into their arrangements & gives them that personal feel. Today I reciprocated & sent out an arrangement to a dear friend. Kim answered the phone and graciously took my request, asking me questions, getting to know me, and making me feel as if she will surely express my feelings adequately through her floral design! I ordered flowers from FTD online florist and my order was suppose to be full filled by KM Design. I had to call FTD in the morning, and they guaranteed the flowers would be delivered to our office before the employee went home. KM Design called at 1pm to confirm our address and we confirmed at that they had to be here before at a certain time. The driver made it within minutes of the employee walking out the door. After I called to complain and hung up, "Kim" had the audacity to call my cell phone back and leave a message of how hard they work to do the flowers and she couldnt believe I hung up on them. (Real professional, huh!) After the flowers arrived they were far from the description and lacking true floral design expected!

We had used KM Designs for the flowers for my husbands birthday party at Glenmere Mansion. Kim did an outstanding job. So, when it came time for my daughters confirmation party, we went to KM Designs again. My expectations were exceeded! Not only were the flowers stunning (throughout the entire dinner, people were approaching me to ask me who did the flowers) but Kim even delivered and set up the cake for me as well. Her creativity, appreciation for the details and artistic design are extraordinary. I would certainly recommend KM Designs.

Called up KM design and spoke with Kim. She was busy and promised to call me right back. She called me back 5 minutes later and we went over an arrangement I saw on line for my girlfriends birthday. Even with the holiday rush of Thanksgiving she delivered whiten the time frame that we discussed. My girl loved the arrangement, I would recommend KM to my friends who live in the area.
