When we first decided to get married in the Hudson Valley, I contacted HCV to talk to an officiant, Rev. Debra Ann Romano. She responded so quickly and had such warmth, that I felt bad having to turn her services down when a dear friend and lay minister offered to officiate. However, she made a fantastic impression on me, and when I decided we needed a day-of coordinator, they were my first call. Our wedding was very DIY - a real community effort. But I knew that by contracting so many different vendors by myself, if I didn’t have a day-of coordinator, I’d spend my entire time worrying about distributing tips and when the shuttle bus was coming. Enter the amazing, sainted Sandra O’Connell from Hudson Valley ceremonies. She was always on call - responding to texts and emails in lightning speed. When we first met her, I knew we made the right choice - so sweet and friendly that i felt comfortable with her right away. She did a lot of things that I hadn’t even expected, like doing a layout of the venue. She also found us a babysitter to help amuse the kids (another very lovely woman)! I knew we had made the right choice. Her organization and warmth was such a blessing to us. And then disaster happened. I found out that the staffing company I’d originally contracted could not fulfill the requirements of our venue, and I had no staff to serve food or break down. Sandra jumped in, guns blazing, and hooked us up from the staff of HVC (who I should have just hired from the start, hindsight 20/20!). She got the insurance paperwork together with blazing speed. And on the day of the wedding, she and her assistant were so wonderful - calm, capable (even when dealing with the inevitable things that go wrong). I always knew I could count on her, trust her, and lean on her. She is a truly amazing woman. The serving staff from HVC was top notch - like secret ninjas who quietly make everything amazing. It was so great to not have to worry on my wedding day and just ENJOY it! And all my guests had a great time...and although both Sandra, her assistant and the staff were “behind the scenes,”...I know it was in large part thanks to Hudson Valley Ceremonies!

Jeanne Stark was our day-of, and rehearsal dinner wedding planner for our wedding two weeks ago. I cannot recommend her enough!!! She is an amazing wedding planner and an amazing person to work with. Jeanne is one of the most talented, professional, organized, creative, and calming people who I have ever met. She is extremely knowledgeable and has expertise in all areas of the wedding, including everything from advising us on the size of the dance floor, to knowing how much voltage the DJ would need, to how much alcohol to purchase, to displaying escort cards and so much more. She is also extremely organized--her periodical reminder emails and phone calls helped me to stay on track throughout the process, and she also calmed me down and assured me that the wedding would be amazing. And our wedding was absolutely amazing with all of her help, the best day of our lives. Jeanne was integral at every step of our process. She is dedicated to helping couples have the best day of their lives. Throughout our wedding planning process, Jeanne continued to help us with her expertise, problem solving, understanding, and (emotional) support in every part of our wedding. It was the most well-worth money that we spent throughout the wedding planning process. While the rehearsal dinner and day-of packages are so comprehensive and a great deal, we ended up adding extra hours in the last month of our wedding. Jeanne helped us with coordinating transport and printing escort cards and lighting. All of Jeanne’s help allowed me more time to really enjoy the weeks leading up to the wedding--to reflect on the meaning of our ceremony and connect with wonderful friends and family who were coming into town. With Jeanne’s help, wedding planning was the joyful and exciting process it is meant to be!

Its truly all the little things that start to accrue and drive you insane during the wedding planning process. The details and loose ends add up to an overwhelming mess of crap that you shouldnt need to deal with. Wouldnt it be awesome if someone else (and NOT a family member) did that crap? THANK GOD FOR JEANNE. Hiring her to be my day-of-coordinator was the best decision I made in planning my wedding. I cannot overemphasize the importance of having someone who can "stage-manage" everything and make it run smoothly. IT IS MONEY WELL-SPENT, believe me. If nothing else for your peace of mind, its a tremendous value. But on top of that, Jeanne saved us money in other ways. She went above and beyond to do all sorts of things, like renting us vases, easels, and other props at a really low rate so we didnt have to buy anything we wouldnt use again (she has a tremendous storehouse of glassware, signage, decor, etc), installing lighting at our venue herself and splitting the cost between us and the couple who would be getting married there the next weekend, etc. Aside from the financial stuff, there was just the sense of emotional support and reassurance for both me and my parents. We met with her several times to ask a whole lot of neurotic questions, and she met them all with great answers, grace, a genuine smile, and a big hug. IF YOURE GETTING MARRIED IN THE HUDSON VALLEY, YOUD BE CRAZY NOT TO HIRE JEANNE. She will make you a saner and happier bride, believe me--and your guests will definitely appreciate the smooth-as-butter running of the show.

I was referred to Jeanne at Hudson Valley Ceremonies through a friend who used Jeanne as a wedding planner. I hired Jeanne to coordinate our wedding and she went absolutely above and beyond. We just love her and feel like she was a member of the family by the big day. She helped us with invites, getting us whole sale prices, totally got our design esthetic, did all of the flowers for us (they were amazing, vibrant and perfect for our organic farm wedding), she helped with deliveries, rentals, random questions like how much to tip. She was there for the run throughs and the morning of to make sure I was okay. She was responsive through email at all times and took care of every little thing so I didnt have to stress. I had a call with her about 2 weeks before the wedding to just review everything and afterwards I realized I had nothing to worry about it was all in good hands. She helped us with a make your own Photo Booth, let us use her jars for table decors, had wedding signs, did place cards and hung twine to display them on, had table runners, had a projector and so much more that she just let us use. It saved so much on rental fees. She also knew exactly what we needed to rent so we could stay on budget and have what we needed for the site. She coordinated with the band and reception venue for me and just made the day of absolutely perfect by helping us stay on track with timing and getting everything set up. I couldnt recommend her more and I will recommend Jeanne and her team to everyone I know who is getting married!

We could not have pulled off our wedding without the help and constant calm that is Lauren Brown from Hudson Valley Ceremonies. We waited until we more than halfway through the planning process before a friend told us to bite the bullet and defer to a professional. She recommended we reach out with Lauren, and my husband and I are so happy we did! Not only did Lauren help us navigate some of different ideas my husband and I had about the day, she offered extremely helpful advice on everything from music to menu based on her experience planning tons of weddings and events. She became our North Star! On the day of our wedding, we know Lauren was filled to the brim with to do’s, but she took the time to check in on both of us and make sure we felt comfortable. And following the ceremony, she carved out a little time for me and my husband to take a beat and just enjoy each other’s company for a few minutes before jumping into the cocktail hour and reception. We’re so grateful to her for thinking through that level of detail! She and her amazing husband even made sure our miscellaneous personal items were brought safely back to our Airbnb – They went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable, special day! You won’t regret working with her for one second!
