My haircut is ruined. You can see the pictures that I showed Peter in order to give him an exact idea of how I wanted my cut to look and even told him that I wanted a long bob. I showed him not only one but several pictures of the same cut. And now look at my hair. It has NOTHING to do with pictures I provided! He gave me short layers, KNOWING that I have wavy hair. Now those short parts are sitting on my head crown looking terrible. I look like an idiot from the 90ies with this cut. He told me that in 6 weeks my hair will be grown back, it will take YEARS to grow those short layers back to my shoulders! I am deeply disappointed and regret falling for the positive reviews and going to this salon.

Ive been to many salons over the past couple of months and they always seem to give me the opposite of what I wanted. So I did some research and googled the crap out of salons near me. I finally stumbled about Pelo Pelo but it wasnt close to me Im in Queens Village and Pelo is in Richmond Hill. I thanked the lucky stars that Ive found Peter, not only did he achieved the look I was going for,he talked me Through every step, struck up conversations. I can honestly Say his laugh & his personality is unique and Ive never met any one like him. He really does have a passion for What he does. This man transformed my hair like never before. Hi Everyone! Today was a great day, thanks to Peter. I had called around 1p.m; Peter very friendly answering my questions and soon enough 2 hours after he was doing my installation for a braidless weave. It came out amazing and looks very natural and for a great price! He was very outgoing and making conversation as he was working on my spectacular weave. Ultimately, I was very pleased with his service and highly recommend everyone to see him. Wont be the last time of me going there for sure! Thanks so much again Peter! If you ever need a refreshing haircut and style I strongly recommend Peter. This guy is a genius and very knowledgeable I have been going to this salon for years and he never fails to make me look amazing. I have tried other hairdressers when I am in a rush and he is busy but it is never the same. People notice the difference immediately..Peter is very dedicated and walk you through every step apart from being funny and talkative. I luv this place i needed a new hair dresser n i found pelo pelo he does excellent work my hair was very damaged from coloring it there was a lot of dead hair there it had to b cut short i dont like short hair but he made it fit very nicely with my face.i recomend this shop to everyone who needs a great cut or color.peter is very personable very good attitude very plessent. I will continue going here for all my hair care needs.

Friendly owner (Peter) and great service with a wide knowledge of my hair and hair in general. He gave me great advice to keep it healthy as well as shaped my hair and cut the tattered ends I had while still being able to keep most of my length. He gives great conversation and explains everything he does to leave you with optimal results. I will definitely be coming back and will recommend to a friend .

When I came in he was installing a weave and the he did a wash and set... We just met and I became instant family. The worst hair cut I have ever had! He cut my hair and the right side of my head is heavier on the bottom but the left side is heavier on top. I look like I have a mullet! I have to put my hair up in a pony until it grows back. And whats worst is that he knew what he did but styled my hair to hide it, I didnt realize until I washed my hair for the first time and tried to restyle it.

Peter is so amazingly talented. I come all the way from Brooklyn to have him cut and color my hair. He has corrected my color twice and I always leave with my hair soft and healthy. He takes the time to really care for my hair. And the cuts he gives are incredible. This would be a $500 haircut in Manhattan. Pelo Pelo is a hidden gem.
