The gym itself is pretty great. Its always cool enough that you can breathe while working out and not have to worry about catching a cold after sweating so much. The environment is clean and neat. The machines are all great. I feel like this location can use more ab machines since theres only like two really good ones and sometimes people stay on them for long periods of time. And I wouldnt mind if they enforced that 30 second workout area since I would love to try it but so many ppl just sit in there using the machines without moving on to the next step. Theres really no one there to enforce the program. Aside from that, the staff seem nice enough. They offer friendly greetings for the most part and bid customers a fair well as they leave. Ive never had an issue with any of them or with anything at all, really. Its a great place for working out. I used to workout at Lucille Roberts for two years... I went about a total of 15 times lol I guess I just didnt quite fit into the environment. I felt judged most days. But at PF I can really just be myself and do my own thing. Ive been a member for at least 2.5 years and go as often as I can. I love this location.

Me gusta mucho el gimnasio, el personal es muy amistoso son muy cálidos, en lo personal siempre hay una persona en el escritorio que te saluda amistosamente cuando llegas. El gimnasio es muy limpio, generalmente de lunes a miércoles bastante lleno, pero siempre hay máquinas disponibles. Los baños bastante limpios y siempre hay locker disponibles en los vestidores... Y una de las cosas que me gusta es que casi todos los trabajadores son bilingues(Inglés y Español)

I really wish I could put 0 stars. Today I brought my wife to open a membership and the person that was supposed to help us was the most rude person I could have ever met. Did not greet us or anything, didnt try to inform her of anything. He " I short skinny dark skin guy" did not even make eye contact and seemed as he was mad at someone. He threw the receipt on the desk and her shirt as if he was saying what ever. My wife was opening a black card membership and told her to just get the regular one because we would almost never come together, I was talking to her and out of nowhere he said " I dont want to know why you dont want the other membership" We were not even talking to him, we we commenting. People like him give this place such a bad image, its not an inviting place but a place that yells " GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE because I dont care.

Myrtle/Wyckoff location: I think its a fantastic deal as far as what you get for the price. Some limitations are to be expected. My main issue is one that largely has to do with selfish customers. Ill show up at a slow time when barely anyone is in the gym yet, 80% of the lockers are being used. As I said, this is not so much Planet Fitness fault as it is with selfish and entitled customers. I know you periodically cut the locks off but soon after... same situation. If you would cut the locks off every day or even every week, maybe it would make it too much of a pain in the "@&$" for people and this selfish practice would stop. As it is now, people dont have any reason to stop doing this. I guess they figure if they have to buy a new $3 lock every couple of months, its worth the price of having theyre own private storage locker.

For the price you pay this gym itself is good, staff are friendly and the equipment is well maintained. If youre a heavy weight lifter this may not be the gym for you as most of the equipment is low intensity. The reason for the one star is that I discovered that they were charging me for another members membership, I took my statements in and showed them this. I was assured that the charges would stop and that I would get a refund. After returning from holiday I discovered that I was still getting charged for this other persons membership and no refund had happened, Ive still been phoning and emailing them and my calls arent being returned and nothing is being done, am now $80 out of pocket. Seems the only choice I have is to take them to small claims court.

This place started really good a few years back. Right now this is the most disgusting gym I ever been too. Bathrooms are always dirty , garbages full of dirty tampons and pads. Lockers always full , hard to find an empty one even when the gym Is half way full. I guess ppl leave stuff overnight and nobody cares. Last time there was a huge dead Water bug laying on the floor in the locker room. Often paper towels not filled out ... plenty things to say , list is very long. People Come In some of them dont even check in , but employees are too busy gossiping to notice. Just cancelled my membership today. Very happy. I will never come back even though this is the best location next to my house. Very bad experience.

Be careful when you sign up, they carry shady practices and you end up signing a 12 month contract should you leave before the year is up they charge you $58 + tax, I will not sign on again and will definitely let my friends know to look somewhere else. Regarding the gym itself... Gym is always packed, bathrooms are dirty, no toilet paper bad smell, many machines dont work like the treadmills and I am not talking one or two machines, there is quite a few, the other thing is that the classes that they have here are from 9 to 5:30 now who the heck can actually go to those classes, definitely working people cant it is a laugh really.

Best option for the price. You are in NYC. If you want an amazing gym, be prepared to expend 10 times the value of this one in a membership. If you are looking for a place to workout seriously and stay in shape spending 20,00/monthly, you can use this place. They have any machine necessary for exercise any muscle of your body. I came from 92Y at upper east side where I used to spend 200,00 monthly and this place isnt too inferior that the fancy one I used to go. No way. Be realistic! Very good place. Clean. Good professionals Music bad? Who doesnt have a headphone?????

Muy mala , en ese lugar los empleados no son honestos porque a mi se me quedó mi anillo en el locker y un cliente lo dio a uno de los empleados ,y cuando lo reclamé me dijeron q lo devolvieron pero q no aparece, se robaron y perdí mi anillo por eso cansele mi afiliación

Its cheap and has free wifi, but they overdo it with the music, I cant even drown it out with my own headphones set to max. They really crank up the heat in the winter so if youre doing cardio be prepared for possibly passing out from a heat stroke. Any concern is rebutted by the staff, saying they have no control over anything. You get what you pay for. P.S.: My "workout buddy" always touches the toilet water whenever I take a dump here. Poor toilet design.
