FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE COULDNT PAY ME TO GO BACK! Found a great deal on groupon. then after arriving I realized there was a reason the prices were so low. Wasnt sat for my highlights until an hour after my appointment. Then after being seated I look above me only to notice disguisting water damage on the ceiling directly above my head. After my highlights were sloppily placed the hair dresser Billy said he would check on them in 30 minutes, then of course he went around and had conversations with everyone and did not come and check it until an hour later. I was then put in for a glaze and I was told it was complementary due to being seated so late. Once everything was completed I hated my highlights, the hair dresser Billy had not listened to what I had told him at all and my highlights were far more brassy than what I wanted and were awkwardly placed. After all of that they had the nerve to try and over-charge me! They tried charging me for the glaze that I was told was complementary and when a friend brought up that the price was wrong the women at the front desk and the hair dresser Billy both began verbally assaulting her when all my friend kept trying to do was protect me from being over-charged! I couldnt believe the way they were speaking to a patron. They should be ashamed of the way they acted. I will never ever step foot in there again, id rather go to cvs and get the box and do it myself! Cant wait to go back to my friends at long island beauty school and tell them all what a horrible experience was had there. HORRIBLE!

So I came in here in hopes of a miracle and I most definitely got one. My hair was destroyed from a previous hair mis-hap and I needed a nearby salon to fix it quick-- it was a color-correction emergency. I googled nearby salons and this one had good reviews so I went in (with no appointment) and they took me in immediately. They were booked for the day but knowing how desperate I was, they quickly took me in and under their wing which I was so grateful for. I truly felt that they genuinely cared for me and wanted to do everything they could to fix my hair. Donna did complete magic on my hair that I thought for sure was un-fixable. She has years of experience and is a color specialist. She knew exactly what was to be done to my hair and she gave it all the attention it needed. Donna and Ashley (the other hair dresser there that day) were so attentive to my needs and knowledgeable about hair that I truly felt safe and in good hands even though I have never been to this salon before. Donna is now my go-to hair dresser and I am most definitely going back to her for all of my hair appointments. I had a 5-star experience here and would recommend it to literally anyone.

wow, im certainly not going, I had heard from a few people that the staff was rude and the salon wasnt super clean in appearance but that just totally confirmed I will NOT be going there. Thats so unfortunate that happened to you. im a newly licensed in the cosmetology field so this was also a learning experience although I was trained to make my clients happy, sounds like billy has forgotten. I hope you get your hair fixed up nice!

Sue Skura (Owner of Silk Hair Spa) is absolutely incredible! She has been doing my hair for several years now. Not only have we tried various cuts and colors but lucky for me she has used such great products and treatments to keep my hair in tip top shape (shiny, soft and beautiful)! I love the way my hair looks every single time Sue does it....I would highly recommend Susan Skura-she is Fabulous..Simply Fabulous!

Went today for the first time to silk hair spa, Marina cut my hair . She took her time and listened to what i wanted,i couldnt be happier!! Had a great experience, would go back for sure!!!!!!! Had a groupon and was treated like gold. Thank you Marina for a great hair cut!!!!!!!

Donna is the best. Donna knew exactly what to do. I could have cried. She knows how to work color, lowlights, highlights. She is a true artist with a unique eye for the way colors and shades work.
