Tarrytowns Fred Astaire was more than my fiancée and I ever imagined when we were looking for a place to choreograph a dance for our wedding. We learned more than our first dance, we learned how to connect with one another in a new, heartfelt way. Our instructor, Jordan, was an incredibly talented dancer and teacher. Patient, fun, and had a wonderful skill for knowing how to communicate to help us understand and make the dance moves our own and look good. There are also these wonderful Friday night dance parties where you get to dance and mingle with all students and teachers. The best part of these parties is you dont have to know how to dance all the various dances practiced. Somebody is bound to grab your hand and teach you some basic steps. Everybody is so nice and all the instructors are so talented and patient. The owners, Sasha and Olga, run their studio with such joy and professionalism. They make everybody feel welcomed and believe we can all be good social dancers, despite the varying backgrounds to dance each person might have. Dont wait another day, make an appointment. If you are thinking of buying a wedding package, do! It is such a wonderful way to start a marriage. If youve always wanted to learn how to dance, give yourself the gift of going to Tarrytowns Fred Astaire. I think it will change your heart and life. We cant wait to be able to go back and begin the other dance programs they offer too. We had no idea we would love ballroom dancing as much as we do. Although, I think its not just the ballroom dancing we love, but the way in which Tarrytown Dance embraced us and taught us how to dance. Truly wonderful experience!!

I had the pleasure of having a dance lesson with Artem. As an experienced ballroom dancer, there are certain things that I look for. The number one thing is my partners frame, which is how he holds his body. This is how he communicates what he wants his partner to do. Artems frame is fabulous. It was such a pleasure to dance with him and he gave me some great pointers. Artem is new to the US, but he has been dancing ballroom since he was a child. Grab him for a lesson while you can. This guy will be in very hot demand before you know it.

A great place for beginners to learn how to dance and for more experienced dancers to continue learning and grow. The owners and teachers all combine a high level of professionalism and talent, both as teachers and as dancers, with warmth, friendliness and a keen understanding of a students level of dancing and potential to lift the bar. I am really glad my wife convinced me to take some dance lessons six years ago and ballroom dancing has become a major part of my life, thanks in large part to the Tarrytown Fred Astaire Studio.

The teachers are absolutely great, the atmosphere is relaxed, enthusiastic and very pleasant, I always looking forward to the time in the studio. Once you get to move on the floor a bit, you feel like being in a fairy-tale ! You can apply what you learn here at any parties you go to and there is dancing. I had a great experience and i recommend it to anybody who wants to dance and can make this commitment.

I have been dancing at Tarrytown Fred Astaire since 2000. I stay because the talented instructors and the warm family feeling of the studio. I make time for my lesson as I have found it to be my bliss especially when I was still working a stressful job. The fact that Sergei Tryl makes it fun is a plus ,plus, plus! The instructors are well trained, highly skilled both in dancing and in teaching. Instructors and students are friendly, and its a fun atmosphere. Group lessons, private lessons, practice parties - all fun. Great location, beautiful studios. Highly recommended.

It is a wonderful experience, Sasha and Olga are so warm and make you feel so special. I look so forward to going to my classes. The entire staff make you feel like family. It is definitely the place to try if you love to dance.
