My husband and I had the pleasure of taking eight private dance lessons with Rogers Dance Center to prepare for our first dance. One of our bridesmaids and her husband took private dance lessons here in preparation for their own first dance and strongly recommended the studio to us. Due to time constraints with wedding planning and work, we were not able to fit in the lessons until less than one month before the wedding. We took private lessons with Denise and could not be happier with our decision. Neither of us had any type of dance training and, to be blunt, had four left feet between the two of us. At weddings we generally are the couple standing by the bar watching others dance. However, we really wanted our first dance to be special. We anticipated that we would only have time to learn an abbreviated, simple routine. However, Denise designed a nearly four minute routine that included a dip, multiple types of turns and even a lift at the end! My husband often works late and she was very accommodating with our schedules. To say that dancing does not come naturally for either of us would be an understatement, but Denise was very patient and really broke down each step for us until we felt comfortable. We would practice at home after most lessons and she always noticed and commended our progress. On the day of the wedding we felt very natural and our guests were raving about the dance the entire night and even weeks later. We heard a number of wows and gasps throughout the dance, which we attribute to the fact that many of the guests had seen us awkwardly dance in the past. We encourage couples who want their first dance to be a moment that they never forget to consider taking lessons at this studio. Once things settle down, we will definitely consider taking more lessons at Rogers Dance Center and especially with Denise.

I love this dance studio. The level of dancing here is the highest I have ever seen. All the instructors are friendly and are not only great dancers but also great teachers. They also work with you on fitting you into the best level of class for you but also pro-rate your lesson fees if you start late. I have been coming here over two years now and performed in two showcases. This is something I never thought I would do. The training for the showcases made me a better dancer and on the nights of the showcases, all the participating dancers were supportive and bonded together. We took a Beginners 12 week Salsa class there and had a negative experience. Over the 12 weeks, we had 4 different instructors. Three were great, but one instructor spent most of the class criticizing the other instructors and told us that we were doing everything wrong. She rolled her eyes at us and made the class very uncomfortable for everyone. When we complained to the owners, we were completely ignored.

Ive been a student at Rogers for nearly 5 years and love every minute of it! The instructors are genuinely talented, as well as interested in my growth as a dancer. They do not upsell lessons or classes, and meet you at your level. I went from knowing nothing about dance to a competitive dancer thanks to the wonderful training I have received! I cant imagine working with any other studio!

I love this studio! I have taken lessons before so I knew what I was looking for. They didnt try and sell me something I didnt want and allowed me to come in for a free evaluation to find out where I fit in. I also like that the staff has knowledge on working with students of all talents and levels. Its a definite place to check out.

My daughter recently started taking ballroom dancing classes in the tiny dancers beginners class and it has been such a great experience. She loves coming to class every Monday night and has learned so many of the professional ballroom dances. This class will help her to gain confidence and grace. We love miss Natalie:)
