My husband and I love the Arthur Murray Studio in Mount Kisco! After talking about learning to dance for almost 30 years, we ventured into this beautiful studio one cold January day five months ago. Always a self-conscious dancer, I was sure I would feel uncomfortable and awkward. On the contrary, from that first day until now, I have felt enveloped with warmth and caring. As I learn to dance from instructors of the highest caliber, I have experienced only acceptance and encouragement. The festive and welcoming tone of the studio, set by the owners and dance instructors, engenders the same feeling in the students. We have become friends with a wonderful group of people all focused on learning to dance and having fun. When “Mike Smith” talks about a less expensive dance lesson alternative, I wonder if he considers the 12 free (and fun and reinforcing) group lessons along with the Friday night party that are included in the cost of a private lesson. For my husband and me, who come to the studio as often as we can, it’s a bargain! Our experience at the studio has added a spark of color to our lives that we can’t put a dollar value on. We are on the dance floor having a ball. Thank you, Arthur Murray Mount Kisco! We can’t imagine learning to dance anywhere else.

I never knew that such a friendly, welcoming, family like environment would be waiting for me when we came to the Arthur Murray Mt Kisco dance studio. My wife had to drag me in at first but now I would never think of leaving. The instructors there have such enthusiasm for not only dance but for the progression of their student as well. The studio offered not just the individual dance lessons you expect, but rather many ways for us to learn and improve our dancing; with fun filled group classes, exciting themed parties every week!, special events, and the individual lessons all packaged together. My wife and I have danced elsewhere before and never had the same experience as we did here. At other locations they nickel and dime things where if you want to come to a group class or party it will cost you even if you had taken a private lesson just before! and it seems that nothing is tied together to help your learning and overall dancing. If you dont really want to learn how to dance and just waste money then other places are fine. However if you are looking for a studio that will give you great friends, a full schedule of things to do, and so much more then Arthur Murray Mt Kisco is definitively a place we would recommend.

The first reviewer, "Mike Smith". is out of line. He is comparing two studios with different systems - chiefly because Arthur Murray is a national company with centralized rules and prices, Westchester Ballroom is not. Secondly, prices are always presented up front, along with the system of classes and parties being included with every lesson. Most of all, however, the enthusiasm exuded by the studio owners is not only palpable but greatly benefits all students who truly want to learn to dance - and what may be perceived by a very few as "high pressure" is simply a genuine desire for every student to succeed and to have as much fun dancing as possible. In all my 25 years of dancing I have rarely seen a studio run with as much passion, grace and charm as Arthur Murray Mt. Kisco.

When the Arthur Murray studio in Mount Kisco opened up a few years ago, my husband and I signed up for a basic package of private dance lessons that included all the Friday evening parties, galas, and group lessons. It was one of the best decisions weve made! Not only are we learning from very talented professional dance instructors who care about our progress, but weve met many friends along the way. The owners operate the studio in a very professional manner which is appreciated by us and many of their students. The enthusiasm the owners and entire staff have in sharing their knowledge, hosting creative theme parties, boosting the social atmosphere, introducing students to each other, and injecting fun wherever possible all together create a truly wonderful environment.

Interesting how one reviewer complains about transparency, yet originally didnt post his comments under his own name. Yet I disagree with him. Having no experience myself in dealing with negotiating with strippers, I can only speak for the tactics at this studio which I find to be honest and upfront. The owners are sincerely interested and supportive of their students and their desire for them to continue their dance education, and they express this consistently (not just during special events and negotiations). And judging by the growing student population of new and returning students enjoying their time and continuing at the studio, I think that speaks volumes about the fun and positive Arthur Murray Mt Kisco experience.

Yuliya, I want to thank you for the great time my grandchildren had learning to dance ,they are still talking about the great experience they had and would love to do it again next Christmas.
