I was so disappointed today, I always get food from Punjabi Dhaba despite getting bad attitude from the woman at the front. However today was the height, my friends and I went to have lunch, first the food smelled very bad and we suspected the oil was spoiled. We carefully asked for another plate of food, then after eating it mostly through we found not one but two hair in the food. We thought to complain and ask them about it. On top of getting rotten food the womans only explanation was that perhaps the food had fallen. So do they think they can feed us food that fell on the floor? On top of all this the women at the front gave us attitude and said we should do what we want and call whoever we want. I was so shocked at their unhygienic conditions and their rude staff. Never again am I gonna eat from them.

This is a small, nondescript Punjabi vegetarian restaurant frequented by taxi drivers and locals in the know. The ambience is like a dive. We were a party of 5 on a snowy, cold winter day. The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived. We were promptly seated and served a jug of delicious butter-milk ("chaas" in most Indian languages). We ordered a few different types of rotis and a mix of Punjabi dals and vegetables. The food was authentic and delicious! Were from the Philly area and eat at the many Indian restaurants in our home area. However, this little restaurant in Queens has really spoilt it for us for well never be able to view the local Philly places the same way. If you find yourself in Queens seeking some authentic Punjabi vegetarian cuisine minus the ambience, this is it!

The appearance is not prepossessing but do not be mislead by this. The food is filling and very, very good. It is also very inexpensive. That the food is also pure vegetarian is a prime consideration for many. The buttermilk offered free like water is excellent and very refreshing. The service could be better, but this is a no frills place frequented by cabbies, where quality of food rather than service is the prime / only consideration.

This restaurant Thali is great and big quantity. 3 roti , 4 item of around 8 is milk product like butter milk, ( chas) , paneer ((cottage cheese and other veg) , yogurt ( dahi ) , sweet mostly made of milk product, for 8$ until 4 pm. Open 7 days until around 10 pm. Street parking mostly available .

Food is delicious. U should not expect excellent customer service from such place. learn to deal with it. Focus on Food , Food and Food...Its mind boggling!! Free lassi.. and sarson da saag is out if this world. Its damn cheap. we were 4 ppl , filled to death and bill was only $40.

Very good north Indian, specially punjabi food. Though service is a bit slow but being a family run restaurant youll get really good food. Do go at the time for a transition between breakfast & lunch. Order both pronthas & something like kale chole. Loved it

i do not like this dhaba because the guy in the front is fat and mean. one time i ordered dal it was very slaty and it looked like poison also the guy doesnt even know some indian food like parparte chart
