We were originally supposed to wed at this venue this October and postponed the wedding. We had heard of rumors this place was trying to sell. They continued to take our deposits, but as soon as they went into negotiations to sell, they at that time, could no longer 100%, undoubtedly guarantee that they could hold our event at its original date. They NEVER informed us they were closing their doors, but still kept our money; our suspicions were confirmed when The Journal News released their article on February 9, 2016. The owners refuse to give us our refund; the owners lack common decency and fail to do the right thing even though they chose to sell and can no longer hold our wedding in 2017. Who in their right mind would entrust the biggest day of their life to a venue that could shut its doors at any moment (for example, not staffed properly since those individuals can take jobs at any time the opportunity presents itself, etc.)?!?!?! They never even gave us a chance to rebook, so we have booked elsewhere for October 2017 (as we were going to at this venue, but they are closing their doors). The owners only care about money, but the staff is wonderful and its a true shame to the original owner, Sal, who put his heart and life into this place (I believe none of this would be occurring if he was alive and still running this place). In my opinion, the owners dont know how to run a business (evidenced in their financial records and lack of profitability in recent years), so innocent couples trying to make their wedding dreams a reality fall victim to their greedy, deceitful, unjust business practices. In my opinion, go elsewhere for your event, there are much better, updated venues to host your event that arent permanently closing their doors and other owners that actually care about the industry they are in, which is evidenced through the success of their establishments. Weddings are supposed to be a fairytale and the nightmare we are experiencing shouldnt be endured by any bride or groom or their families in what should be the happiest time in their lives. We will be seeking legal action to make this right and we hope that the facts of our experience helps you when deciding where to have your next event!

Best wedding reception ever!! I am a florist and I have attended hundreds of receptions.... this reception was for my son so I was overly critical. The Beckwith delivered at every point. The coordinator, Michael, is a consummate professional, helpful, knowledgeable, congenial, and able to navigate tough family situations. The setting is spectacular! Old school charm mixed with trendy chic. The food, out of this world. The servers were fun, professional, and attentive. This was the best wedding experience!! I would recommend this venue to anyone
