I had my wedding here a few weeks ago and overall the experience was wonderful. My maître de was Phil and I absolutely LOVED HIM!!! Anything I needed, whether it was more lip stick, a drink, another server at the bar, or wiping smushed cake off my face (thanks to the new hubby), he was on it. No complaints, no attitude, all smiles and he genuinely made me feel like he loves what he does. I cannot say enough good things about him. If you have your wedding at Westbury Manor, you want Phil to run your event. On the other hand, and this is the ONLY reason I am giving Westbury Manor 4 stars instead of 5, my bridal attendant was the WORST!!!!!!!! She was pretty much non existent. Her name was Sam or Sammy or something. She was there when I walked through the door, when we got dressed, then I went down to do the first look and she was gone after that. She helped me go to the bathroom once, and by helped I mean she walked me up there, and she had a miserable face on the entire time. My bridesmaids and Phil had to pick up the slack which Im sure made Phils job even harder. Once the reception came, Sammy(?) went from shitty bridal attendant to straight up food server and I never saw her again. I was under the impression that bridal attendants are supposed to be with you the entire time seeing if you need a drink, help with your dress, your bustle, your make up, help to the bathroom, anything you need I thought they were supposed to be there. She wasnt even around to help my MoH with the bustle. You can guess who helped instead...yes...PHIL. And come to think of it, my photographers assistant, who was also his girlfriend and has done all things bridal professionally, was an even better bridal attendant than Sammy. She was the one lacing up my gown while Sammy was, well, somewhere. Maybe Sammy was just having a bad day. Things happen, weve all been there and I can understand that. All things said, I would not have picked any other place to have one of the greatest days of my life. Westbury Manor is beautiful inside and out. Our 5 year old daughter loved to interact with the peacocks and parrots and was so impressed with the huge fish they have in the little creek they have running through the whole back area equipped with waterfalls and bridges. The food was delicious and the guests have so many dinner options. So many of my guests had wonderful things to say in the days and weeks after my event. It was truly a day to remember for everyone who attended :-)

Was very close to giving it 1 star, but the venue does have a great outdoor space if you are privy to it. Overall, its a beautifully decorated venue but has issues, being a multiple-wedding-venue. It wouldnt be so bad if the ceremony we attended wasnt running late.. but, as guests, we witnessed bride and groom being pretty much escorted out of the ceremony area by the security guard. obviously for holding up the next weddings ceremony and all their guests. Other than that, we didnt really have many run-ins with the other weddings guests. The cocktail hour had good food, with tacos/Mexican station being a big hit. The reception area had very low ceilings and made the room look even smaller with a great number of guests that attended. I would suggest capping the number of guests in that room. The oval tables also make it tough to move around.. The food was good (scalops), however the salad was nothing to brag about. On a pro side, there is an outdoor area that can host large groups of guests for the cocktail hour. I think its the highlight of the venue, however unless you are booking a large wedding, your cocktail hour will not be taking place there. The outdoor area has multiple levels, fountains, stairs, greenery and a number of animals strolling around, such as huge parrots, rabbits, peacocks, etc.

So happy we chose to have our wedding here. We planned our wedding in 8 weeks and it was fate that we met with this place in the beginnings of our search. Natasha was SUPER helpful, answered all questions. Referred me to great vendors. It was very reasonably priced per plate. The night of, everything went smoothely. Not only did I have a bridal attendent, Laura, who was so sweet, calmed my nerves, and took care of every need, from anything as small as a piece of gum! I also had a matrieD who made sure everything ran smoothely. They made sure that me and my hubby were able to sit down to cocktail hour and eat our meal, which some people know is impossible at their own weddings. The food was awesome. We had a late wedding where the reception started at 9, so I requested in our contract that dinner be served at 10:15 so guests could leave early if need be and not be eating at midnight. Well, dinner was served at 10:15, and it was delicious at that. A choice of 6 entrees, all cooked to order. I had the best night of my life, and couldnt be happier with this venue. At the end of the night, my feet hurt from dancing and my face hurt from smiling. :)

There are two regions to the manor, the cocktail bar and the dinner hall. The cocktail bar region was not able to accommodate the sheer amount of guests that came with the wedding party I was with. There were about 200 of us and there was little room to move. Above that, the service was horrendous. I waited on line to get two drinks and when it was finally my turn, the bartender saw the person behind me holding a $5 bill and decided to service him instead of me. In fact, not only did he not service me, he blatantly ignored me. I only asked for a cup of Coke Cola and a cup of orange juice. This went on for the next two guests before he even decided to respond to me and thus give me my two drinks. As for the dinner hall the ceilings were too low and thus the noise was very concentrated. The only other problem I had with this region is that when my table was called to go take pictures with the bride and groom, the waitresses took away our food before we were able to finish it.

Me and my fiancé his mom and my sister went to go see the place, we absolutely fell in love from the moment we stepped foot out of the car everything was absolutely beautiful! We meet with Ian there and he is a very nice well spoken and infomative guy, as we were touring the place evey worker there down to the chef introduced themsleves to us, i loved that. The grounds there are amazing so was every single detail inside I loved, it was very cozy felt very intimate the fire places to the mahogany walls to he ducks in the pond there was no way that I was leaving that place without booking it, I had three others venues to see that day but I knew that was the one! And of course we booked it feb 17th 2013 soooooo excited can't wait!!!!!

My Fiance and I went to look at the place and talk to a Maitre d. I was happy about going there because a friend told us about it and I trusted her judgement. When we went there, the first thing wrong was the reception at the door. The girl asked us to wait inside the bar/lounge with my baby. Of course we stood off to one side by the entrance. Ten minutes later she came back and asked us to go upstairs to a sitting room. she took our information. Then five to ten minutes later a maitre d came in. He didnt even introduce himself, he didnt even say good evening, and up to this moment we dont know his name .Throughout the whole thing his back was turned to us. I said to my fiance lets go. We left without even saying goodnight.
