Unfortunately, all the beauty that this school possesses, doesnt mean a thing! For the most part, there are wonderful teachers here, but the owner does not treat them well. The turnover is very high. Due to financial reasons, the head teachers are asked to leave earlier than assistants. Therefore, when children are picked up in the evening, there is no communciation about how their infants/toddlers were during the day. That communication is so important to most parents. There are constant ratio issues. Rooms are divided, kids are brought into other classrooms, all to save a few dollars...Teachers are forced to be with children that they are not accostomed to be with and therefore, children act out - there is no stability or consistency in this school. Administration scrambles to maintain ratio numbers but if they would just keep their staff/operations consistent, they would not have this problem. Most recently, parents were told not to communicate with teachers, but instead request a conference with the owner. That is absurd! Parents need the open dialogue with teachers. The school is run by a very unprofessional and immature individual. There are much better child care options in the area. Dont have your precious children in these conditions. You and your family deserve better!

THEY PUT APPLE SLICES IN WATER. THE APPLES LOOKED KINDA ROTTEN AND SOGGY. WE WERE SO BORED THERE WE PLAYED HOCKEY WITH BLOCKS AND A PLASTIC TOMATO. I HOPE THIS COMPANY GOES OUT OF BUSINESS!!!! I may have been rude but this school is not a safe place for children. One of the teachers grabbed me by the wrist. This has very poor administration and the teachers are non- professional. Also, the staff are treated very badly by the owners. The food is not very good quality and they consider a snack as 2 crackers. As a student I was treated very poorly there. They did not even let us use are electronics, and we were forced to shared a old and slow Dell PC. The toilets had pee on the seats and were not cleaned by the staff. One of the reasons that there are good reviews here is so parents could get free registration. Every day I stood by the window and waited for my mom to come and pick me up. Overall, this place is very poorly run and is not good with the students. I dont know how the Goddard school is now, but this happened during the ownership of April Fattato. P.S. New owner do what you can to make this place better. Sorry for the caps. My review is telling the truth.

In search of the right preschool for our child, my husband and I stumbled upon The Goddard School in Yorktown Heights, NY. We were immediately impressed by the safety of the school (our number 1 concern), the quality of the teachers and the curriculum, and the kind and nurturing personality of all of the professionals. The curriculum touches all aspects of academia and social and emotional development. Moreover, this school offers and array of amazing programs for children like soccer, tumbling, music, dance and many more. They have a communication system where they send daily reports and pictures of my child learning and enjoying his day; this puts my husband’s mind and my mind at ease. We then are able to talk to our child about his day! This is an amazing tool! Additionally, the owner and directors communicate with us daily ( if we need) and collaborate with us if we having any concerns or questions. We are very pleased!!!! Try them!

We are so happy to have the Goddard School come to our neighborhood, but even more so grateful to the wonderful and dedicated people who work there. We enrolled both our children in September; our 4 year old son and our 2 year old daughter. What drew us initially to school was its curriculum, neatness, and organization. Everyday we know exactly what our kids are doing and teachers can send you messages and pictures throughout day with updates or concerns. April, the owner is always on site, always! She is so helpful and always quick to address any concerns or issues as small as they may seem to you. We love this school cause our kids are learning not through just sitting at a desk, but through play. There is a lesson incorporated in play!! To us thats the best way kids learn and how things get retained more. There is not enough good things we could say about this school.

My daughter began attending the Goddard School at the start of the summer when she was 3. We are so happy with the school. Our daughter has learned so much in her time at the Goddard school. She talks about what she does in school all the time. The teachers are great and our daughter loves all of the teachers that shes had there (both from the summer program and her current class). Shes busy every day and enjoys all of the things she learns each day. I love that she is learning yoga (which she loves to show us how to do at home). While she is learning skills to prepare her for kindergarten most importantly shes learning social skills and how to get along with other kids. The teachers are amazing and put so much work into their classrooms. Theyre really creative and our daughter takes great pride in the art projects that she brings home from school.

We love Goddard. Our twin daughters who are now 2yrs have been in 2 different classrooms now and the girls have loved both teachers and assistants. There is plenty of educational toys and activities for them to participate in and the school strongly leans toward culture, art, music, language etc. I would recommend Goddard for any family looking for an educational school for their child. Although they are centered around education, the teachers couldnt be more loving. I pass my 1 daughter off to her teacher every morning for the drop off adjustment and when I pick the girls up they are either snuggling with a teacher or talking to them. The teachers also send pictures during the day so you can see what your kids are doing. I couldnt be more at ease leaving the most precious things in my life in someone elses care.

The teachers and program was excellent but I wasnt comfortable sending my two boys here after questioning why 6 teachers left in one day and was yelled at by one of the owners. I was told to keep the worrying to them and that my kids are in good hands, then I was threatened to be thrown out of the school for being friendly with another parent who left on bad terms and shared their experience with me. If anyone is looking for the wonderful teaching staff that started The Goddard School, you should check out Childrens Corner in the old French Hill Elementary School on Baldwin Road in Yorktown Heights. By The Way ... Parents were asked to write a good review on google by the owner to receive free registration for the upcoming year.
