Even though my husband and I have lived in Thailand for 3 years, we havent visited many places yet in S.E.Asia. We usually like to travel on our own but like to have local guides and everything planned and arranged prior to us arriving. We met Benjamin & Myo in Chiang Rai and they told us of their travel company and the services that they can provide. So when we decided to plan a trip to S. Thailand and Myanmar especially the islands and beaches, we enlisted Small Footprint Travels to assist us. We are extremely happy to say that Small Footprints was very helpful in providing us with the contacts and information that we needed to plan and arrange our trip. Well be departing from Chiang Rai on Sept. 28th for S. Thailand and then on to Myanmar until Oct. 24, 2015 and we were able to secure all of our lodging, transportation, and local guides (air, boat, local vehicles, etc.) because of Small Footprints information. The guide that they connected us with in Myanmar even emailed us his picture so we would recognize him at the airport when we arrive. We are going to have a wonderful, relaxing time not having to worry about any of the details thanks to Benjamin & Myo with Small Footprint Travels. We have full confidence in Small Footprint Travels and will definitely contact them again for future travels. Brenda and Eric

Traveling with Small Footprint Travels to "parts unknown" in SE Asia is a magical adventure. The itinerary is a balance of fascinating historic sites, many UNESCO World Heritage sites, scenic travel by boat, hands on crafts, cooking classes, and local markets where we are invited to interact with the locals. Traveling with Benjamin & Myos small group tour is a uniquely in-depth experience thanks to Myos native Thai and Lao language skills. For instance, a highly memorable experience was one street side dinner in Bangkok, a gloriously cacophonous event, which without Myo could have been overwhelming and confusing. Each accommodation was chosen not only for its convenient location but also for its charm and romantic setting. What a luxury to have someone make all the arrangements for three weeks of travel! Sit back and share their mutual passion for indigenous food, spectacular photo opportunities, natural wonders, and the market culture. Diana Gillispie 2015 Laos Thailand Tour

I absolutely loved my trip to Myanmar with Small Footprint Travels! Benjamin Porter put together a fascinating trip to a truly spectacular country which included an inside view of how people lived in ancient times and what their lives are like today. We visited some of the most architecturally beautiful temples, landscapes and sights imaginable. Each and every day of the tour took us to new destinations that were completely different from the ones before it. The people of Myanmar are extremely friendly and we had the opportunity to visit their villages and observe traditions, craftsmanship and lifestyles that have been passed down for centuries. Our Burmese tour guide knew exactly where to take us to give our group a flavor of the countryside and people. One couldnt ask for a friendlier, more organized or enthusiastic tour operator than Benjamin!

When I read the itinerary for the August - September 2015 Boliva trip I was consumed by nostalgia for all the wonderful places, people, food and adventures I had with Small Footprint Travels in 2013. The small group, the chance to travel unbeaten paths and to share the groups enthusiasm for photography and for BOLIVIA! had no parallel with any other group travel I have experienced. I wanted to do it all over again! The fantastic gifts of this trip ---- the breadth of the countrys geography, the earth-conscious ethnic populations, politics with conviction and the sense of living life with a "small footprint" all came back to me as I viewed the journey some lucky group will take this year. I cannot thank Benjamin (Small Footprint Travels) enough for my fabulous experience in Myanmar. I usually plan and do my own trips, but as I was researching Myanmar, I realized that I would need assistance from a travel agency in country and I was at a loss to find the Right one. Benjamin was able to facilitate gettting me to the best agency that followed my agenda precisely and worked with me on the details and facilitated a seamless trip. Everything was taken care of with my input. I thought that Myanmar would be exceptional, and it was even better than I had hoped. This was My Very Best Trip ever, thanks to Benjamin. I would love to return to Burma.

I took SFTs Burma tour in 2013 and enjoyed it immensely. The country is charming and bustling with energy as it opens to the outside world. The tour was a masterful sampler of Burmas rich culture and varied topography. The quality of the accommodations was surprising. Highlights included a sunrise balloon ride over the Buddhist monuments of Bagan, taxi rides across the refreshing waters of Inle Lake, street fairs in Mandalay and our Burmese cooking class. Our group couldnt have been more simpatico. Ben is a great host and bon vivant. One truly could not ask for a better travel experience.

This was - honestly - the experience of a lifetime. Myanmar is a difficult country to navigate for a first time visitor, but in expert hands its wonders open up, every day, in every place we visited. A magnificent blend of culture, history, natural beauty, delicious local food and wonderful people with guides to answer every question and anticipate every practical difficulty. A five star experience.... Simon Shaps London. (with the assistance of my friend Kylie Tseng who navigated Google for me...not as difficult as Myanmar...but still not entirely straightforward)

The tour was excellent from beginning to end. Lots of personal attention from Benjamin - an excellent group of people on the tour. I was not interested in photography but all of us who were not taking photos were accommodated and not made to feel left out. We had good food and the cooking class was a highlight as was Began and the boat trip overnight. The tour was quite varied and I would recommend it to anyone. The age range was 24 to 79 and it fit together quite well. I cant wait to take another Small Footprint Tour!

It was so great to travel with those who know the country so well and this was the insiders trip to Bolivia. Great food and wine, wonderful people, and such exotic locations. Ive never seen anything like the salt flat or the inside of a mine. And the Isla del Sol was time travel back to the beautiful world of walking paths between villages. And I couldnt stop looking at the beautiful art and craft. Just the right combination of adventure and comfort! Id do it again!

Fantastic tour! The boat trip on the Mekong River was unforgetable. I loved traveling with a small group. Every day was well planned with a wonderful exploration of food, culture, and landscape. It was worth every penny and I think it would be hard to find a more authentic tour experience than that provided by Small Footprint Travels.
