My daughter and I have both experienced very poor service from the Newark, Ohio AAA Office. MOST of their Newark reps take their workload frustrations out on us, the customer. Such an employee would not last long at the company where I work - our tone is always courteous, after all, without customers, we would not have a job. Their rep Sheri (Sherry?) is one weve had the most trouble with; today, I phoned in and informed her that my TT (Trip-Tik) only contained the destination, but not the directions back home. Not once did she apologize, yet she asked if I was sure that the directions (back home) were not included. She also asked if the TT was done while I waited (as though to make an excuse for their error); however, I replied, "No, I ordered it three weeks in advance from Morgan". Another time when I picked up the TT, I asked for an additional book, and the rep stated, "you can get that yourself". I asked her (I did not get this reps name) where I would do so, and she then pointed to where I could get the book. She finally mustered up a thank you as I left, but with a very stressed facial expression. Another time, my daughter picked up a TT for directions to Maine, the directions were to travel SOUTH from Ohio. When she showed the Newark AAA Rep the instructions, the rep took it out on my daughter as though it was my daughters fault that they had to re-do the TT. With each episode we have treated the AAA Reps as we would want to be treated (we give them a break), but it is as though they take their work stress out on us, because we are easy targets. This is not good business. I wish these reps would see or hear themselves in front of their boss, or regional boss for that matter, as I do not even think it would matter to their office manager, because theyve been getting away with these actions for years.

On my first visit, I sat down with an agent and told her that I wanted to schedule a trip to Washington DC and then on to Virginia Beach. She looked up a few lodging choices and gave me some feedback on those choices. Tried to print off a few but only ended up with one printed. Then I asked her questions about the metro in DC. She googled it, looked at it and then said she wasnt sure how it worked. Something I could have done on my own (which I did after leaving there). She seemed to be more occupied with the fact that it was her last day in there until she was to go on vacation. So she handed me some tour books and told me to look at them and decide where we might want to stay and call her back the next week. I ended up booking the hotels on my own. She said she would put in an order for a Trip Tik and I could pick it up the end of June. I arrived at AAA on the 9th of July and no Trip Tik. The lady in the front informed me there was no order for one. So I could wait half an hour to 45 mins to get one or come back on Monday. Good thing I wasnt leaving before then. I chose the latter and made another trip back to get it. It actually was done when I called around noon Monday. In the middle of our trip I realized the printed Trip Tik and the large map didnt follow the same route. Got us there but in a round about way. I am sitting at the beach right now but, needless to say I will google map or mapquest my own way home since I havent invested in a smart phone yet! If it werent for the towing and roadside help I would have cancelled my membership by now because the vacation planning part is a waste. We pay for 5 memberships and Im beginning to think it would just be cheaper to pay for a tow if we need one!

I have never had a pleasant experience at this AAA office. The people at the desk have been, without fail, dismissive, imperious and unwelcoming. Without exception. I have come in to purchase items as well as to schedule TripTiks. I have been blatantly ignored, have actually had employees roll their eyes and heavily sigh when they realize Im not going away and they may have to help me with something (The horror!). The only time anyone from AAA has been even remotely pleasant was when I was left a chirpy voicemail that my account was coming due for renewal.None of this is even slightly exaggerated.

My experience this time was not as positive as in the past. I did get a tour book, map, and vacation brochure. However, I was looking for information that I hoped could be obtained from someone knowledgeable in the office. The person with whom I worked did not seem to be interested in finding out what I really wanted and how she could be of help. After doing some of my own research, I will go back with some specific questions and request for help. However, the reason I go in there is that I am looking for the expertise of trained individuals to help me with my vacation plan.

I went to our local AAA in Newark to order a TripTik for my husband and myselfs vacation. It was especially nice because found out the person helping me was someone we knew. The extra mile is something our AAA in Newark is good at going to help their customers. They are friendly, helpful, and have knowledge of all kinds of travel. Thank you for helping to make our trip easier with the Trip Tik, maps and tourbooks!

Wonderful (A+) first time experience with AAA!!! In planning a three week, multi state vacation I was able to call my local AAA office, give them all of the places we would be visiting, sat back and waited to pick up my TripTik. They did an amazing job and included brochures of nearby places of interest as well as a regional map. I couldnt have asked for a better experience or nicer service!!

As always the personnel @ Deo Drive were timely and helpful. My wife and I like to take unplanned vacations deciding on the spur of the moment as to where we are going. The AAA Tour Books and maps are all that we need to do this. In 2012 we flew to Phoenix and rented a car and drove 3500 miles in 14 days with no plans. Our books and maps were what determined where we were going and when.

I was looking for maps and information to go to Atlanta and North Bay Canada. The staff was extremely helpful in finding books and maps. I also ask for a a triptic to go to North Bay. I was pleased with how cordial the staff was and how helpful they were. AAA has always been my go to for travel information including overseas.

I THOUGHT THE STORE WAS GREAT. THE SALES PERSON WAS VERY HELPFUL., PLEASANT AND HAD INFO I NEEDED. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY YOU HAVE NO MAP OF LICKING COUNTY IN YOUR STORES. THERE IS ALOT TO SEE AND I REALLY DONT WANT TO GO DOWNTOWN TO GET A MAP. I THINK YOU SHOULD CONSIDER STOCKING SOME. THANYOU BRENDA DUNFEE
