Beware - Beware It is impossible to reach anyone by phone at this location. My package was mailed with tracking on Jan 7th, 2016 going from Maryland to Prescott, Arizona. It arrived in Greensboro, NC on January 9th, 2016 on the tracking information. Now it is Jan. 21st, 2016 and no information is available as to where the package could be. Delivery on my receipt was scheduled to be on January 14th, 2016 in Prescott, Arizona. The tracking shows it is in route to it destination Since January 9th, 2106. I have made 18 phone calls so far trying to locate this package. In most USPS locations I can not get an answer and it is impossible to contact anyone in the Greensboro, NC distribution center. In looking at other reviews of packages being lost in the Greensboro, NC distribution center I am wondering if they have a person there that is taking packages when they see an insured label on them. From now on I will use Fed-Ex for shipping packages. It is likely that this package will never be found and replacement of the item inside is not possible. January 25th - package still missing and tracking is still showing the same from Jan 9th. Finally made contact with mail recovery center. They could not tell me anything. Told me to wait for a total of 30 days and gave me a claim number. Upon my asking more questions the woman hung up the phone on me. I have not made 36 phone calls trying to locate this package. February 7th, 2016 Greensboro, NC still can not locate this package. March 7, 2016 - Package still not located and now they are trying to deny the claim. Beware - Beware- Beware of shipping packages through the USPS. LOOK! This is bullshit! Mishandled my package for over a week. When my local post office called for me to complain they must have got mad and threw it away because now it has been lost for 6 days. I filed a complaint. Reply was "Wait Longer"-- assholes! So several days later I tried to open a claim to get my money back. When I got the wait longer bullshit they had closed the case and now I can not open another for the same tracking number. So basically Im screwed and they could not care less about it. I ordered something on 1/17/17, my delivery date was 1/19/2017. On 1/18/2017, I checked the tracking history, it showed that it made it to Greensboro. I thought "Yay! One hour away, Ill have it right on time!" I checked the tracking on 1/19/2017, it arrived at a postal facility in PENNSYLVANIA (at 8AM) I live in MOORE COUNTY. I checked my tracking on 1/20/2017, it departed the Pennsylvania facility at 8PM on 1/19. Today (JANUARY 25TH) I received a text (at 10am) from USPS, saying "notice left-unsecure area". I messaged my husband to get the notice and pick our package up from the local PO. He messaged me at 12:30pm, theres no notice, no slip, no package. 5pm rolls around, hes home from work now, checks the mail, low and behold the PINK SLIP! Too bad the local post office is closed now. I HAVE NEVER experienced this with USPS, until now. My mail carriers usually leave this kind of package on my front porch. This is the fifth time Im ordering the SAME kind of package, from the SAME company. How is it all the sudden an "unsecure area"? And why TF did my package leave the Greensboro facility and arrive at a facility in PENNSYLVANIA?

My company has sent several packages to several clients in Cary, NC. The packages usually make it to Cary, NC just fine, but for some reason, they get rerouted to this facility, where they get lost, never to be seen again. The phone number listed just redirect you to this answering machine with the most obnoxious old lady voice in the history of human recording. This station is like the Bermuda Triangle of packages. Any package that comes in here will be lost never to be seen again, and even opening cases and putting claims through the 1800 number did nothing to solve it. USPS in general, is a steaming pile of flaming and rotting garbage, sad excuse of an organization, but this sorting facility shines bright as the jewel on top of the crown of putrid and foul "service" that USPS "provides".

I always ship eBay items though USPS and never had trouble until now. I shipped out an item to Greensborn, NC and it went through this distribution center where the package then got lost. The tracking info says the package was "delayed." My buyer therefore did not receive his package and now I am going to be out an item and money because of this horrible service. I tried contacting this distribution center and they gave me two other numbers to call on an answering machine. I then called one of the numbers and the lady on the line insisted that all the packages that they scan out are delivered and denied that my package was delayed EVEN THOUGH MY TRACKING INFORMATION CLEARLY SAID THE PACKAGE WAS NOT DELIVERED YET. Absolutely horrible.

This is likely a more problematic USPS location in the south. For example during the mothers day holiday I shipped a package to Columbia, NC. Everything clears through this post office in Greensboro. They basically held the package there for 7 days before delivering it to the Columbia post office. That is how I found out that USPS Priority mail is a best effort thing - no guarantees. The funny part - I ship from Providence, RI - I literally drop my package off at the Section Sort Facility here in Providence and within a few hours its on the road to NC. But once it gets into NC that Greensboro facility either shuts down on the weekend or just slow as molasses.

Pretty funny how USPS is not doing anything about this center or its employees. I just experienced my package being lost from this center and all they can say to me is "I dont know." You can just tell how rude these people are and how much they obviously do not care about you or your package. I asked "so basically it could take a year for my package to arrive and you guys cant and wont do anything about it" and their response was "yeah". This is getting ridiculous and corporate is no help either. Never shipping anything through USPS ever again. I would put 0 stars for this sorry location but unfortunately I have to put 1.
