I went with my friend and her mom we were starving, trying to find somewhere to eat and we came across Riverboat landing and we thought it would be a nice place to eat. When we got there all when we walked in we had to wait a minute to even get seated at a table, because they were all just braiding their hair. Finally we get seated and the waitress get us our drinks my friends mom notices that her tea is foggy, her tea was a leftover sweet tea where the sugar had been drained from it. The menu had a wide variety but when I got my chicken tenders it looked like it had been pulled out of a frozen Tyson bag. After I had ate well over half of my food I started to not feel so well, so I was headed to the bathroom but didnt make it there. I got sick and threw up a little bit. When the workers there saw they were all nervously talking about it not knowing how to handle it. None of them wanted to clean it up and one of the workers came out and told his that she didnt know who made the mess but that someone was going to have to clean it up. They handed us rags and bleach, I cleaned it up all that I could just so that it wouldnt cause a huge scene. After I had cleaned it up one of the other workers came out and said that one of us would have to clean it up, which I had already cleaned all of it that I could up. She told us that they werent certified to clean this up and that it wasnt her job she stated practically cursing at us and told us to never come back. Worst restaurant experience I have ever had will not be going back and I would definitely not recommend going there.

We have been to Wilmington 3 times in the last 4 months in preparation for a move down here. We have eaten at many great establishments but this one out does them all BY FAR!!! We had a table on the balcony (which you MUST make a reservation ahead of time for and secure it with a credit card )...the view was incredible, the service friendly and fast....and then there is the food....we had the crab au gratin and an order of the beef tenderloins for appetizers and WOW is all I can say!! My fiance had the shrimp and grits for dinner and I had the porterhouse steak which was so tender that I literally only had to slide the knife through one time to cut it....and that is NOT an exaggeration!! It came with some wonderful mashed potatoes and grilled veggies (and if this means anything, I usually HATE red (Bell) peppers but I ate those and they rocked!!! One thing though, if you make reservations for the balcony seats...make sure you check the weather channel first lol We were just finishing up dinner as we were watching a thunderstorm come in over the river and got done 20 minutes before the downpour started!! The poor people that were on the balcony had to go inside and finish their dinner.... The cost is slightly on the pricier side for some, with both of our appetizers and two entrees and two sweet teas it was $70.00 ...but in my opinion was worth every penny and not outrageous for the quality of food that you are getting and the atmosphere of overlooking the river while you are enjoying the food.

The outside of the restaurant makes you think this place is going to be awesome. Then you walk inside...the building obviously used to be a house which would be cool if it wasnt so cramped. The waiting area is nonexistent. You walk in and are immediately faced with a staircase, the bar on your right, and a dining room on your left. Where do you stand? And if its crowded - forget it. The bathrooms are another weird fact - the sink to wash your hands is OUTSIDE the bathrooms by the kitchen. There isnt a sink in the mens bathroom and the sink in the womens bathroom is broken. Very bizarre. Then theres the food and service. The service for us was s-l-o-w which I can kind of understand because our waitress had our table and then a 12-seater at the same time. Who do you think gets more attention and time? The food wasnt good. It was okay, but definitely not good. I got the crab-cakes and Im no seafood expert these certainly werent good crab-cakes by any means. My husband got a shrimp and sausage dish and hes normally a bottomless pit but he wouldnt finish it. I didnt bother trying it. They have a good wine selection but thats about it. We didnt stick around for desert. Long story short: Save your money. Dont bother.

The only reason this restaurant gets one star from me is I cannot give them anything lower. Their response to a reservation request for a table on a terrace was that they couldnt guarantee a table would be open. Since they apparently dont know the meaning of the word reservation, I replied that my request was contingent on being assured of a table on a terrace. The response I received was as follows: "Reservations are for TIMES not Tables. Why would I hold a table empty awaiting your arrival??? Reservation cancelled. thanks" Obviously, the respondent, Steven Kohlstedt, doesnt understand what service means either. If the personnel at this restaurant have this attitude toward their patrons, the establishment deserves to go bankrupt. Even if the food is excellent, which I doubt, their attitude toward service warrants anyone looking for an enjoyable dining experience to steer clear. By the way, their most recent New Hanover County Health Department rating is 93.5. STAY AWAY!

We are new to Wilmington and were very excited to try this place out after hearing so many good things. It is in a perfect location and seems like it would be a super cute date night place. After going I highly doubt we will be returning. The restaurant itself is very cute and the atmosphere indicates its a nicer place. Looks can be deceiving. The place smells like old beer, the waitstaff is very sweet but I really think there should be a dress code. Our food took an hour and a half to come out and we only had two entrees. I dont mind waiting, but they were not busy. We ended up paying $100 for dinner and drinks without tip which is not a big deal, but the quality of the food was absolutely not worth it. I have no issue paying more for a good dinner especially in a nice restaurant, but I feel that this restaurant is confused as to weather it wants to be a more laid back place or a fine dining restaurant. I was extremely disappointed with our entire experience.

We took our daughter there for a nice dinner before a concert. The service was good-nice girl- working hard. The clam chowder was watery- no taste! So NOT order the Mahi fingers -taste like frozen cod from Mortons-seriously!!!! Unable to eat these. Shrimp entree was tastey -but had 4-5 baby frozen shrimp. We are at the beach- how about some fresh seafood here. Now the Capris Advicado salad was delicious ! I would go back and eat that again Lastly my daughter ordered a sirloin- worst cut of meat, very chewy and undercooked . Couldnt even get the mashed potatoes right ! No taste at all. Asparagus were good If my daughter had not picked the place to eat and If we werent pressed for time to go to the concert , we would have left ! Let me say I have never done this We are easy to please when it comes to food I may have sent back food once or twice in my life Dont waste your time or your money
