Would not use Hay Funeral Home services ever again. They advertise that $1000. is too much for a basic cremation, however by the time they are done, they are as close as you can get. I called in advance of my mother-in-law passing to get the total and final cost. Jeff Hay assured me it would be $895. When the time came, Karen Eckerle and a young man named Jordan showed up. As soon as they entered our home, K Eckerle was rude and unpleasant. I was just about to ask them to leave when Jordan spoke up. He was polite and very professional. So, I let them continue. A few days later, we got a call from K Eckerle informing us that the total is now $945. I then talked to Jeff Hay and questioned the extra money. He said it was for the urn from the crematory. This isn’t my first cremation. I happened to know that the crematory supplies a plastic box “urn” with each service. Jeff Hay got very rude and obnoxious. We were supposed to pick up the ashes the next day, but now they delayed us another 3 days because he got angry. I would suggest another service.

When my husband was enrolled in the hospice home care program, we knew it was time to look into final arrangements. We did our research and together we decided we wanted Hay Funeral Home and Cremation Center to handle everything for us. Tom died at 3:00am one morning and the gentlemen from the funeral home arrived within a short period of time. They were very considerate and courteous. Toms body was treated with dignity and the respect he deserved. I knew then that we picked the correct funeral home. Everyone that I came in contact with, from my initial phone call to inquire about their services to the time we laid Tom to rest, could not have been more gracious and accommodating to all of my wishes. I wanted to say "Thanks" to Janson, Karen and Mack Hay for the service of my grandmother. Our experience was made easy and with care that was felt from the time we arrived and until we left the cemetery. Upon arriving for the funeral, Mack had us a place reserved to park making it easy for my mother to get in and out and that meant so much to us. This was our first time using Hay Funeral Home but not our first death and I have recomended many others about the fine people and affordable pricing, Thanks again! Miller Family.

There were a few minor slip-ups; I don’t want to nitpick over small things that could go wrong in any funeral. However I am appalled that the elderly mother of the deceased was asked to pay the funeral bill during the funeral, in the church. This action was disrespectful of the deceased, the mother, and the church while at the same time illustrating a deep lack of empathy. Certainly bills must be paid but this should have been dealt with at a less emotional moment. I do not recommend their service.

My mother and I were so pleased with Hay Funeral Home. Their price for cremation could not be beat, but the best thing about utilizing them was their customer service. They did everything for my grandmothers cremation including filing with the life insurance, transport from the hospital, death certificates etc.. My mom who is grief stricken was so relieved to not have to bend over backwards to get all of this done. Prompt, compassionate service.
