AH-MAZING. Scratch helped us make our wedding reception PERFECT. From the day I had my tasting up until the very end of the reception, everything that Scratch did was absolutely perfect. Matt, Kirstin and the crew worked with me to come up with new things that I had ideas of. After telling them I wanted something with watermelon for the appetizer, they worked up a few ideas for me to try-- and none of them disappointed!! While other caterers presented me with a tray of watermelon squares and toothpicks, they really knew what I meant and created a watermelon/feta bite sized piece of heaven. Not only did they help me get creative, but they provided us with a menu that fit our theme of a farm wedding. Everything that was served from appetizers to the buffet was a complete hit. Our guests cant stop talking about it! One of my favorite parts about the service-- from the moment I arrived at cocktail hour, there was a server who went out of her way to keep bringing me appetizers. Obviously as the bride I needed to eat, but was chatting with guests, so I loved this! I felt like they thought of everything, they were polite and accommodating to my husband and I and our guests, and they made sure that everything went off flawlessly! I cannot imagine our reception without Scratchs amazing food and service. THANK YOU GUYS! I would recommend them a thousand times over!

Attended Catch A Rising Star gala last Saturday and was again blown away by Scratch Events Catering! The Upscale Comfort Station featured Maryland Style Crab Cakes, (to die for), Classic Cheeseburger Sliders and Parmesan Truffle French Fries with Garlic Aioli for dipping--amazing! The Eastern Obsession Station was equally popular with my crew being especially partial to the Sriracha Bang Chicken and Dim Sum, and while Im not particularly fond of sushi, I highly recommend Scratchs version. We also sampled the Antipasti/Mezze Platters that blended artisinal meats, cheeses, really interesting veggies--roasted, grilled and marinated to perfection--with hummus and a roasted garlic dip that I wanted a doggie bag for! We also found ourselves chasing down the staff for a share of the muffuletta, adorable little rueben sandwiches, roasted tomato-basil and walnut pesto hors doeuvres that got passed at the beginning of the evening. Once again, Chefs Matthew Hayden and Marshall Bartley outdid themselves with their own special takes on classic dishes that was as delightful to look at as it was delicious to eat! Kudos to Scratch Events Catering for a wonderful gastronomic experience that totally complimented a fabulous evening of music!

If Matt is catering the event, you do NOT want to miss it! He catered our friends wedding at their home in Centerville this past summer, and there wasnt a single thing that couldnt be considered "the hit" but if I had to vote, Id say it was the shrimp and grits-AMAZING! I just went to a 40th birthday party this weekend, and everything was delicious as usual: flat bread pizzas, mini Philly cheese steak sammies, chicken and mini waffles with a really zingy sauce for them (he shared the recipe, how nice is that!?) and deep-fried "Potato Thangs" that Im dreaming of right now because its lunchtime at work, two days later and boy would I love some more of those. Matt is the NICEST guy, too. Hes great fun to chat with -as hes buzzing about making everything gorgeous to look at and yummy to taste and making it all look so easy-hes also a super nice and energetic Chef who loves to make sure the guests are having fun and have everything they need. He is well-connected in Dayton so if youre planning an event, Ill bet he could steer you in the right direction with choices beyond those for the palate.

Scratch Events had a tent set up at the Garlic Fest this year. Their selection was easily the most unique and creative item(s) available. We ordered the sweet chili garlic chicken served with smoked gouda grits in a Parmesan cheese waffle ice cream cone. The chicken was tender and juicy. The cone was delicious and surprisingly easy to eat. Everything about it was appealing, the service with a smile, the way the meal was creativity presented, the quality of the ingredients and the taste. After finishing our cones, I returned to the tent to ask if they had a restaurant or food truck. They kindly informed me that they were a catering company; however, I could order freezer meals from them. Great News! I am already looking forward to my next sweet chili garlic chicken meal. If you are looking for a great meal for your event, I highly recommend that you contact Scratch Events to see what they can do for you. You cant go wrong with friendly people and wonderful food!

Words cant describe how wonderful Scratch Event Catering really is. They executed a farm-to-table dinner for our wedding, and really knocked it out of the park. Every single element of the dinner was delicious and memorable- from the horseradish to the salads. Our guests are still telling us that they have never experienced wedding food like that. Thumbs way up! My parents raise cattle for freezer beef- so I came to Scratch to see if we could somehow incorporate this beef into our meal. Scratch worked closely with the butcher to lay out the ultimate carving station- including filet, rib eye, and sirloin with fried onion straws that were on point. Matt, and his chefs are geniuses, and Kristin is a gem to work with. They took the reins and did an outstanding job. My husband and I cant vouch for them enough. AMAZING!

I have never had catering so delicious before! The Kristin, Matt and the staff worked with me on everything from our budget to salt and pepper shakers for my wedding. They put up with me for over a year and were always patient and kind. The food was steaming hot and delicious, while the drinks were mixed perfectly and chilled. The staff was so attentive and kind to my guests as well. We absolutely loved the creative foods they provided us such as grilled cheese shooters, soft pretzel bites, garlic parm chicken, and our main courses. They really did make our night perfect.. I will be looking to them for every event we have!

Unbelievable food, staff & presentation! Scratch catered my sons graduation party of 100 people. Matt & his staff made our event the talk of the town. They took care of everything for us. From set up to prep, service and clean up! The food was fresh, flavorful and so inventive. We got compliment after compliment! The taco bar was so elevated in flavor & of course the Sweet chili chicken & potato thangs were a favorite. Everyone loved the house made ice cream sandwiches! They are so professional & go above & beyond their role to make sure everything goes smooth. Cant say enough good things :) Kelly

Scratch catered our wedding this past weekend, and their food and service could not have been better. So many people kept talking about the food all night during the reception. Im sure all of their food is amazing because they cook it on site, but the fried chicken, meatloaf, and all of the fresh vegetables we had were incredible. From our tasting months ago, to the walk-thru they did the week of the event in order to make a detailed plan, all the way through the actual event, Cheryl and Hope were so easy to work with and accommodating. Thank you again for leaving all of our guests stuffed and happy!
