The food wasnt terrible, it was actually pretty good, but really overpriced for what youre getting and every little thing is an upcharge. We ordered Caesar salads with our meal, which had little to no dressing on it and when we asked for more was told that would be an extra charge. Seriously? There was like no dressing on the salad to begin with. The customer service was mediocre. I hated the fact that we couldnt be seated till out whole party was there. (Like why does it matter? Were they going to give away our table?) I also hated that since we had to wait at the bar, when we ordered apps and drinks, we were told that we couldnt transfer the bill which is no problem, but when our whole party arrived we were rushed to our table and when we said we had to close our tabs first, we were given an attitude. Our waitress made our experience VERY awkward. The way she took our order and tended to us made it feel like she had no idea how to talk to people in a social environment. I understand that people have social anxiety, but you probably shouldnt be a server if you cant talk to people. The Lodge Potato appetizer was delicious, as well as the ribs, and my Mom said the salmon entree was fantastic, but otherwise, I feel like there are better priced places to go to in the area for the same quality of food and service.

First, I must preface my review by saying that I visited with family on Fathers Day and the place was extremely busy. That said, we had a large party (14) requiring multiple tables because the place really is not set up to accommodate more than 4 person parties except at one or two tables seating 6 or 8. Two in our party left because their booth was too far away from the group. Everyone else in the group enjoyed their meals, which are well prepared with fresh ingredients. Steaks here tend to be cooked to perfection and taste great. However, on this visit I ordered the daily special, which was an aged Bone-in Kansas City strip and it wasnt that good. It was a lousy cut streaked with muscle. Cooked correctly, but it was tough, no flavor, 1/3rd of it was bone, and it was grossly overpriced at $42, which I didnt find out until after the fact. Speaking of overpriced, dont order from the "kids" menu. Its ridiculous. $15 for a simple burger with steak fries. $20 for ribs. Really?!? Kid friendly?? Ah...no. I would have given more stars if my food experience and the kid menu hadnt sucked, because I like the place. Atmosphere is nice, service decent, drink selection is good, and the rest of the group enjoyed their meals. Maybe next time Ill enjoy it more.

My family and I had dinner at the Timber Lodge on Christmas Eve 2014 and had an all-around excellent experience. We arrived at about 4:30 to avoid the dinner rush. We had a party of four and were seated as soon as we arrived. The salads werent huge, but were very fresh. I dont go to a restaurant like the Timber Lodge to fill up on lettuce though, so no problem there. Our dinners arrived just as we finished our salads. I had the strip steak and it was grilled to perfection. The taste of my steak was just what a properly aged piece of beef should taste like, not covered up with seasonings and dripping with butter, but just enhanced by a few good spices. It was the best steak Ive had all year. I dont know for sure what my wife and daughters had to eat because I couldnt tear my eyes away from my steak. I think it was Chicken Marsala and Chicken Bruschetta. They said it was delicious though! After dinner, we shared a brownie dessert with ice cream. It was out of this world! The coffee was also delicious and deserves to be mentioned. It was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. I cant wait to go back. Seriously, I cant wait. Im planning to go to dinner there again next week.

I ordered a prime rib, supposedly their specialty, cooked to medium rare temperature along with a lobster tail. The prime rib arrived medium-well, and I did not want another one (Ive worked in a kitchen--dont want my food spit on). I didnt take a bite out of the steak, and when the bill arrived, I was charged for the steak. I calmly asked for the manager. Again, I calmly explained the situation, and the manager cut me off and very defensively told me that he checked the steak and it was not medium rare and that I was "insulting his intelligence." Ive never sent anything back before at a restaurant, and I kept my cool. I paid my full bill, left my waitress a generous tip (20%--it wasnt her fault), and left. The manager was very defensive, confrontational, and unprofessional. One poorly made steak would not stop me from returning, but being treated that terribly by the manager will cause me not to go there again; besides, their prime rib doesnt even begin to compare to Flemings, which is where Ill be going hereafter.

arrived sunday night after a walk around Medina square at the ice festival. We were meeting our son and daughter in law. Party of 4. The policy of not seating without the whole party was a put off. I can see if it is a large party, but 4? When my son arrived, we were sat in the bar at a booth that could barely accomodate 4 people. Noisy and uncomfortable. My son and I ordered the Prime rib, it was ok, but uneventful. Three of us ordered the baked potato. It was extra to have loaded, and all three potatoes were undercooked, my wifes was actually crunchy raw. She ordered a filet, but the steak came and it was the size and shape of a strip, and texture of a strip steak. She questioned the waiter who said it was a filet, but he could get another one if she wanted. It was actually pretty good so she ate it, but the issue would be the charge for a filet and getting a strip. The salads were good, but again, not very nice so I will not return.

My wife and I walked in the door and first thing out of the managers mouth is whats in the bag, well my wife and my friends wife share a birth day and my wife had brought her a portion of her birthday cake to take home and eat later. The was very rude and I dont expect to be questioned about a bag, none of his business, then I ordered their "special t bone" it was so tough I could not cut it with a steak knife, I sent it back they made me another it was as tough as the first most likely cut from the same old dairy cow, no offer to comp I ripped off the bone and took it home to the dog, of course they had no problem charging me for it. I have never posted a bad review on any one and I am not the competition like another jerk posted, I came to this restaurant on occasion but apparently more has changed than the name
