As someone who is disabled I dread coming to LCJFS. I constantly have a new case worker, most case workers arent friendly. They also go through them like crazy, which I try to understand. You have to jump through so many hoops every single month that it gets tiring. Meanwhile people who abuse the system still stay on it despite turning them in. The Job place there is terrible. It makes it sound like they will help you find a job. All they do is sit you down at a computer and you look for jobs. Why would I go there when I could do that on my computer, on my phone, at a library...etc?

I signed up for Vocational Rehab to help me find a job to accommodate a physical disability I have. I was talked to like a child and learned nothing. I was not listened to and they did not help me. I ended up finding a job that I love on my own. Very disappointed with them, the Vocational Rehab was a huge waste of time. Calling tomorrow so that they can close my case.

I called to check the status of my Medicaid application for my 4-year-old and was told it would take another 90 days and was promptly hung up on. No chance to ask any questions, nothing. "Yeah, its gonna be another 90 days." Click. Very professional. Just because people are in need of assistance doesnt mean you can treat them like garbage.

If I could put negative stars I would. This place is never nice about helping people. I am not on assistance, but my mom is. They are always so rude to her and they are not secure with PII at all, they just want you to give your social in a room full of people over a phone.

A joke. You could be working 28-38 hrs, go to college, be a caregiver and still wouldnt let you gtfo the work program. You have to submit all the paperwork to prove it and even then its a lot of stressful bullshit.
