Working with P.K. Wadsworth has been amazing! So far have had three services done to my home with P.K. Wadsworth and they have been worth every penny, and have gone far above and beyond my expectations. When my ancient hot water tank bit the dust I was able to call them (on a Sunday) and schedule a replacement tank. The technician gave me a lot of great advice and didn’t try to up sell me on anything I didn’t need. My water now gets so hot so quickly I feel in addition to no longer having that old health hazard in my home – I am saving water because it doesn’t take forever to heat up. I also had them do a home energy audit, which included a blower door test and full house evaluation. This may seem like something you don’t think you “need” but DO IT. You will most likely be surprised at how inefficient your home is and how much room for improvement there can be. We were looking to make our very poorly insulated, drafty and cold house more comfortable, and to do our part in living a more sustainable lifestyle. The test pinpointed all of my homes weak spots, which I had a good idea of, but it was nice to have the technical validation through the various tests. Luke, who oversaw the efficiency plan of my house, was very friendly and knowledgeable. After this we had a full blow-in insulation job done by P.K. Wadsworth. The insulation technicians were very friendly and super professional, and despite spending three days at my house, drilling holes all over my exterior walls – you can’t even tell they were ever here cosmetically speaking. We actually joked about how they left the exterior of my house cleaner than it was before they started – and they even brought me my mail! It’s only been a few days but I can already notice the major improvement to my home. It’s so quiet I can’t hear cars going by. My house holds heat so well I am no longer waking up in the middle of the night to grab a third blanket because I am so cold. As a Raynauds sufferer this was such an invaluable service – and combined with their swiftness and professionalism it made the experience that much better. Of course, monetarily my heating and cooling bills are expected to go way down also. We already have other improvements we are thinking about making to our home, and we will definitely be back and have further work done by P.K. Wadsworth.

The people at PK Wadsworth are friendly and informative, but dont let that fool you. We were quoted $3,000 to repair our AC system, and thought that was high and asked for a quote for a new system to compare. That quote was quoted at $4000. Since both of these are a lot of money we decided to get a second opinion and quote. The other company came in and ran all the same diagnostics tests, but had a different conclusion. They fix the problem for under $150 and our system has been running fine since then. I dont know how PK missed the mark, and should be embarrassed. At this point our trust level is gone. I informed PKW about the experience before writing this review to hopefully get an explanation, but so far have not heard back from them. Meanwhile we are wondering how much we overpaid for the other air conditioner they did service for us which costs us $1,000.

Ive been w/PKWadsworth for a super long time. They got the most out of my old furnace until it wasnt viable anymore, then helped me to explore the options on a new furnace. Every person that Ive come in contact with has been friendly, knowledgeable and more than competent. If the star rating went higher they would certainly get more stars! Update 6/2017: Just had a technician (Mike Shahan) out to check the A/C before it gets super hot outside. He did a 5 star job, everything neat and tidy afterwards, plus he discussed with me about how hard the start up is on the unit and how that can be eased to prolong the life of the A/C. No high pressure sales job which I appreciated.

On December 17, 2014 our furnace stopped working. This had happened twice before leaving us without heat for an entire week at Thanksgiving. I had just lost my mother and the additional stress was certainly not needed. John Hevesi, a service technician with PK Wadsworth came to our home at 10pm, diagnosed the problem and got the heat back up and running within 20 minutes. He found a needed part by 8 am today, December 18, 2014 and had installed it by 10 am. Excellent, well respected company. My recent experience confirms this. When I scheduled the appointment, I was given a 30 minute window for the technicians arrival (how nice compared to others that give you a 4-hour window!). He called 20 minutes ahead of time, which was very nice as it was an early morning appointment. He was very pleasant, always used footies over shoes and explained everything he was doing including nicely sharing with my that I had put the filter in upside down! In the past, they have responded very quickly to any emergency need (I have a service contract). I absolutely recommend them.

Called to get a quote for a water heater replacement, I was quoted $1600 and given no other option! Home Depot will do it for less than half of that. When I questioned the quote I was given some story about the government. They still charged me a $90 inspection fee to tell me that it was leaking (which is why I called them in the first place) if you want to spend $90 and waste your time with a completely unrealistic quote use P.K. Wadsworth. They are scam artists at best.

My wife was here for the AC service call and found the service person to be somewhat obnoxious and not the most helpful. He would not go up in the attic crawl space where the cooling unit is (as hes a big guy and felt he couldnt do it safely) but we were still charged for the full service call fee. He did give us an assessment of the situation, but we dont feel we got our full moneys worth from the appointment, and the service could have been much better.

Michael advised us on the cost and age of our air conditioner that had stopped working during a heat spell this summer. The cost to repair almost 20 year old equipment did not make good sense. Within a short period of time, PK Wadsworth came out and replaced our defunct air conditioner unit with one that is more efficient and much quieter. We so appreciated their quick response to our needs, because we had house guests at the time!

Worst service ever - called in AM - they promised service 1:00-5:00 PM so I cancelled the other company who could have done it the next day. Wadsworth then calls back late in the day and says they just cant make the appointment. HORRIBLE customer service - if they couldnt make an appointment - just tell me and I would have gone with the other company. Dont waste your time trying to work with Wadsworth. They suck!!!

I am very unhappy and will speak to Tom to express my displeasure tomorrow. On the 2nd of June I ordered the AC and it was promised for the 7th of July. After arranging to be home next week I now learn that it has been rescheduled for the 20th. That date is not good enough. Im very upset that an apparent emergency is delaying the date by 2 weeks when I clearly plan to be out of town.
