Do no come here unless you would like to pay $100+ For color that washes out in 2 days and someone just out of school doing most of the work, which includes getting hair dye in your eye. The desk staff can be unbelievably rude. I once called and as the person, a MANAGER, was picking up the phone and I heard a frustrated "oh my god" for having to answer the phone. They have also sent calls to voicemail but wont admit it (you can tell). After my dye washed out, they promised a corrective color WITH A BRAND NEW PERSON and yet I paid for an upper level stylist the first time. This place is just ridiculous. Go to the Paul Mitchell School if you want students practicing on you and you wont have to break the bank to do it.

What an amazing and giving salon. I came in to have my haircut but I was not sure what I wanted done. Annie told me that my hair was long enough to donate and explained about Locks of Love. I thought what an amazing opportunity to help out such a great cause. I put my trust in her and not only did I get to do something wonderful for kids but she also delivered the best cut and style I have ever had! Everyone of my co-workers, even the boys raved about my hair! I am appreciative that there are people like the girls at Gavin Scott that use their talents to help give back to the community! I would challenge anyone to go there and not fall in love with the them. Thanks again Annie!

Terrible experience! I just returned from Gavin Scott after having to go back twice in order for them to correct my hair (touch up highlights). The second time they did do a nice job correcting my hair however, the girl that washed and blow-dried my hair did a terrible job! She pulled my hair so hard I felt like I was getting a face-lift. She didnt fully blowdry and style my hair...a service that I originally paid for. I had to go home and finish doing it myself. This place is extremely overpriced for the quality of work they put out. The staff was courteous and nice but I had a very bad experience and will not be returning.

I went there and spent $150 and 3.5 hours to get an all over color. The next day I washed my hair and I was left with hair that was a variety of horrible colors, none of which were what I wanted. Parts were orange, parts bright red, parts brown... When I called to tell them they were incredibly rude and unapologetic. I was even told that I "must have done something to it" - it wasnt until I talked to 3 people that any of them even suggested that they would fix it! While I understand that crazy things happen - what I cannot understand was how rude they were to me about it.

Absolutely love the staff and management team at this salon!!! I recently sent my whole staff over to the salon to have manicures, pedicures and a shampoo/style as a thank you for their hard work. Every one of them came back all smiles and thanked me for their spa treatment. They enjoyed the atmosphere and service so much that they are constantly hinting that it would be a great idea if I would send them there again!!! I have been going there for about 2 years now & had a bad experience. My hair was not done correct the first time (the highlights were left out). When I went back, they had the nerve to charge me for the "color" when it was a total inconvienence for me to have to go back. I have been getting my hair colored for over 20 years & never had this happen. I have sent a lot of new clients there, but will not be anymore! FYI: The receptionists are rude & unfriendly!

I just received the best color and cut I have gotten in a long time. I have been to many different salons throughout northeast Ohio and I must say that Katie did a better job than anywhere else I have been. Best of all, the prices are better and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Gavin Scott is a no tipping salon....even though I really wanted to tip her more! I highly recommend this salon.

I have been going to Gavin Scott for years, The service is above and beyond. The salon is incredibly clean. The staff is friendly and professional. Annie has been doing my hair since she was licensed. Her following is huge including the dozen ladies i personally recommended. I highly recommend Gavin Scott Salon and Spa. I wouldnt go anywhere else!

I was given a free massage thanks to running in the Akron Marathon to this location. They were so nice here. Sometimes when you get a freebie like I did you dont always get the best service but that was not the case. The level of care given to a non-paying customer is a testament to the great service provided. Highly recommended.

Brought my 11 year old daughter in for a trim and was charged over $30 for a wash and trim. No style, no layers, no bangs, just a shoulder length bob trim. I expected to pay a little extra because it was a salon, but felt this was extreme. Be careful to specify the "talent" level or might be ripped off on an easy haircut.

EEEKS!! NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE-DONT GO HERE!!! NOT ONLY ARE THEY SLOPPY AND UNPROFESSIONAL LOOKING, BUT THEY CANT DO BASIC CUTS OR COLOR! UNPROFESSIONAL AND DIRTY-I AM 23 YEARS OLD AND I WOULD SUGGEST GOING TO EITHER SALON ROOTZ or ANYWHERE FOR UPSCALE HAIR COLOR AND CUTS--DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
