When I found this place I was more than excited! The price was perfect and the trial food the owner sent us home with was great! I was hesitant because I did not like some of the reviews I was reading, but we went with them after meeting them. They responded to all my emails and phone calls promptly, which was very nice. The service the day before, when they came to set up, was also very nice. They were patient and understanding when we hit a bump in the road and had to wait locked outside the venue for about 20 mins. The problem was with the food the day of. The green beans we were sent home with for our trial meal were some of the tastiest, freshest beans ever...and I LOVE green beans! However, they day of the wedding....they were clearly canned beans....and they were gross. I am a vegetarian, as well as a few other of my wedding guests (actually they are vegan). I requested a vegan meal to be available and asked several times what that meal would be. Steve assured me it would be amazing, and vegan...he said maybe a stir fry type thing. The "vegan" meal the day of my wedding was overcooked rigatoni drenched in cheese. I did not eat very much of my dish at all....maybe three bites. I do not like rigatoni, I thought I was getting a stir fry type dish (which I love). Nonetheless, their service is great....but delivery and food quality is not.

Special Moments Catering provided the food for our wedding on October 17, 2015. Our experience from our first phone call, meeting and through the whole process was top notch. The timing of the delivery was perfect. The young lady that delivered way joyful, kind and professional. Steve replied to any question I had immediately, even though at times I emailed late in the evening. The food was extraordinary and everyone complimented how great the meal was. Even the photographer who attends many weddings wanted the name of our caterer, which we happily provided. Food was good for the price paid. The complaint is with the staff. This event was my Daughters wedding reception and as the father of the Bride I was treated with disrespect by several of the servers and also heard from several of our guests that they wre treated the same. I did not need to hear from one of our guest that my daughter must not like me much which is furthest from the truth which was his defense for not following direction. The carver was also rude to several of the guests as well as this is where other complaints came from. When complaints were made during the reception there was nothing done to correct the issues. To this day not even an apology for the only mar on this special day for the actions of several servers . Gary

My brother and his wife just used Special Moments Catering for their wedding in October. I have to say that I was really impressed. Not only were their staff and servers very professional, but the food was AMAZING. This is by far the best catering company in the Cleveland - Akron area. Well worth the price!
