Had Sisu over for a interior color consult and interior home painting bid. Overall experience was disappointing and overpriced. The color consult was a serious waste of money. After she left and I had all the paint chips laid out in front of me, all I saw was a bunch of colors representing someone that didnt listen to a word we said. For example, I specifically said I loved the color of the exterior of our home (a grey blue color) but I didnt want that color in the interior. Well she pushed us toward selecting a paint color for our living room and entryway that was almost the exact same color as the exterior of the house. Seriously. I held the paint chip up to the exterior of the house and it was like one shade darker. Thats a tad too much blue for me but she wouldnt show us any other color options until after she left and we emailed Sisu and said that color is not going to work for us. At least the response was quick to our email but all we got was a list of color names and vague descriptions and we had to go to the local paint store to figure out what color those actually were. If I wanted to go to the paint store and pick out colors myself I wouldnt have hired Sisu to come over and do a color consult. Total waste of time and money. Im probably just going to hire someone else to redo their shoddy color consult job or just do it myself now. The estimate for the interior painting job was ridiculously over priced. Like I dont know if they were going to be painting with gold paintbrushes or something but no other company bid even half the cost they quoted us. I asked around to make sure I wasnt hallucinating or being unreasonable and everyone else I knew just about did a spit take when they heard the price we were quoted. For all the good reviews on here, I did not expect the high price and mediocre experience we had with them. I will give them credit for being on time and reasonably responsive. Its just too bad their prices are outrageous and their color consult was lack luster.

Nancy Long of Sisu Painting is a true professional painter in every sense of the word. I know because I used to be a General Contractor and I worked with painters, several painters. Some of them were good. But not one of them was a professional in the way that she is. When it comes to hiring a painting company, Nancy and her company do all things very well. I’ve been to her office to bid on taking care of her computer network. Her office is a clean and well lit hub of activity. It’s very well organized down to the smallest detail. As part of the contract for her customers, she supplies them with the required State of Oregon handouts that all contractors are required to give, but few do. The handouts protect the consumer. The quality of work by Sisu Painting is outstanding. They take the time to do it right. They don’t cut corners. They have numerous satisfied customers here in the Portland Oregon area. They’ve earned an excellent reputation. I belong to the Southwest Business Professionals chapter of Business Networking International (BNI) with Nancy and so I get to see her weekly. Every week she tells our large group about the success she had that week and the customer comments that she has received. She is punctual, well-spoken and respected in our chapter. This is a woman who is passionate about her business and the community she lives in and serves. We don’t have anyone in the chapter who is more involved in serving the community with charitable outreaches than Nancy. Maybe that’s one of the reasons she has been so successful in her industry for the last 10 years. If you’re looking for a painting contractor that you can trust, that is certified, licensed, bonded and insured and one that will do an excellent job, on time and on budget then you need to call Nancy Long at Sisu Painting. You will not find a more qualified, dedicated and well-staffed painting company. You’ll be glad they painted your home or commercial building.

My first initial call to Sisu Painting was welcoming and professional. I was setup with a walk through for a Estimate quickly. When Nancy came out, she was extremely friendly and within 24 hours I got a online quote for external trim painting which was easy to navigate and sign on line. A week later, the workers showed up even earlier than expected and that continued for the three days of work. Eric and Kyle were professional, detailed and polite. To my surprise they identified some dry rot on my front porch.. I was impressed that they were even looking forward and concern on what to do about. Eric told me he could fix it and that he was not just a painter, but a carpenter when he is not painting. So I called Mike at Sisu Painting and asked for a quote to fix this. The quote was done quickly and was very reasonable and cheap. The end results were amazing and fixed on the second day of work.. When asked what paint I wanted, I said the Trim is white and I really do not know what white it is.. White is not always white. Nancy recommended a color that was just great and I trusted her judgement. I was sent a sample quickly for my approval in the mail before work started.. On the last day which was touch up day, I did a walk through and e-mailed Nancy with some areas I would like addressed. She e-mailed me quickly and the next morning talked with the Painter Kyle who said we will address your concerns and fix it and said "Details Matter to Us" I Recommend this company to anyone.. They were recommended to me by a competitor who could not do the work I wanted until April.. They said they are good and a little cheaper than us.. So that says a lot to me.. The owners, Office Staff, and Painters were extremely professional and quick to respond by phone or e-mail and the end results Look GREAT!!!

From the quoting process through to the final cleanup and walk thru, the entire SISU Painting team was very professional and courteous. Nancy provided the quote and answered all of our questions. This was our first painting of these rooms since we built the house 17 years ago...so it was about time!!! She was very knowledgeable and no issues discussing the "Nail Pops" that needed to be fixed as part of the project. The preparation each day was very meticulous......I think the prep took as long as the actual painting!!! The paint team of Jose, Lisa, Eric and Marco were extremely careful of all our possessions and the tape job was stellar....There was not a drop paint on any of the trim which is truly amazing considering the scope of the taping necessary in our house. The rooms are quite large with a lot of builtin cabinets......and 14 ceilings in the Family Room. The paint team arrived promptly every day....and cleaned up before they left each day. We needed to get the painting completed before hosting a 85th birthday party for my mother. They completed the entire job "ON SCHEDULE". Painting lasted 5 days, Monday thru Friday. Cylina, one of the owners, came by for a final walk thru on Tuesday, giving us time to look over the entire job and see if there were any issues. I am glad to say we had NO issues requiring any followup. I found this quite amazing based on the size of the job!!! I HIGHLY recommend SISU Painting for any of your interior paint work......The entire team was a pleasure to work with and very courteous and professional. I think the Sisu team reflects the professionalism of the owners, Nancy and Cylina. You will NEVER regret using Sisu painting!!
