We have been so impressed with the Goddard School,we highly recommend it to anyone who has young children. I started my daughter there in January, she is 3. This was our 2nd preschool experience, the first one not so positive, so I was very apprehensive about leaving my daughter the first day knowing that she was going to cry and be so upset. The first day Jennie the owner met me in the classroom and helped ease the transistion for both my daughter and I. I then waited in the lobby and received frequent updates. This also gave me time to learn a bit more about the school, everyone was smiling and so friendly. After only a few days my daughter would leave me with a smile and wave goodbye. I have never used daycare before, never had the need but I was so impressed with the experience my daughter was having that I decided to enroll my twin boys also, they are 14 months now. They go one day a week and they have grown so much. They are more social, they do yoga poses, play better with toys. The teachers all want to be there, this is definitely not just a "job" for any of them, they are all so dedicated to the children. Also I love the fact that all the teachers get to know the kids, this way if my daughters teacher has a day off she is still familiar with who is there. My daughter comes home every day talking about her friends and always asks "do i go to school today", she only goes 2 times a week, but when I say yes she says "hooray hooray"!!! The cirriculum is great, very well rounded and teaching them pertinent things, even as I write this my 3 year old is on another computer playing games, with the mouse control and skills she learned at The Goddard. She is so proud to tell everyone she goes to The Goddard School. I also love the daily sheets that they give you about what your child did that day, it is a great tool to use to talk about her day. I was also very impressed at the activites that include the family at the school, art gallery, magician, Valentines and more. I feel so comfortable with my kids there and the staff is so amazing. The school was also so helpful when I had a family health issue and had to send them some extra days, they were so accomadating when they could be. I also can not say enough about the safety of the school, you have to be buzzed in by the office staff only after they recognize you, and if they are unavailable you have to wait for them, this makes me feel so comfortable with my children on the other side of the door. Also if anyone else has picked up my kids (Grandma, Uncle) they have called to double check with me and verified their IDs, I could not ask for better safe practices. I am so thankful for the Goddard School and wish I could give it a 10 star rating!!!

Im a single mother of two little girls and a full time college student. I first came to Goddard School in a last resort because I needed some place for my child to go while I was in school. I was absolutely dead set AGAINST daycare and didnt want my child anywhere near one. When I walked into the School we were met with open arms. The owner, director, teachers, everyone was so nice and so caring. My oldest daughter (18mos at the time) loved every second she spent there. Within the first 3 weeks she had learned ALL of her animal sounds and her talking was excelling. Unfortunately due to financial difficulties we had to take a few months off and as soon as I was able I took BOTH my children there. They started in Jan 2011 one in the Bunnies (infant) room and one in Frogs (2year olds). My children were always happy to go to school and they learned so so much. It really hurts me to see the horrible reviews on here that I believe are fake due to one person who is bitter she couldnt hack it as a teacher (maybe she should go back to school, I certainly dont think she should be teaching there, she had a horrible attitude 80% of the time, and she cant spell), The owner and director have done nothing but help me and my children in every single way they could. I didnt think we would be able to come back to this school and thanks to Jenny my girls were able to come back Monday. I could not be more happy, my kids are excited to go to Goddard School every day (and so thankful to not have to go to the other place we tried). Jon, Jenny, Kathy, April, Devin, Jeanette and everyone else has made a lasting impression in mine and my childrens life. We are so blessed! Thank you! Also, I wanted to say something about the "floating" teachers in the classrooms... I have noticed that some teachers will come in and help other classrooms when other teachers are on breaks, I dont see a problem in that. The teachers are always the same teachers during the day time, class time, and outside time. And if there are kids in other classrooms its because they are in the process of transition, during which a child will go visit the next room up to get familliar with the new teachers and kids. This happens several times a day sometimes until the child is ready to move up completely. BOTH of my girls have done this and it has made their transition seamless and I wouldnt have it any other way! These people truly care about these kids, I have seen it, and my children experience it daily!!!

When considering where to enroll our daughter for her first early education experience, my husband and I were adament that we did not want to settle for a typical "daycare" setting. From the moment we walked into the Goddard School, it was apparant that this was indeed a SCHOOL and not simply a daycare. With a curriculum that includes everything from sensory activities, to social skills, to yoga and gymnastics, we felt confident that our daughter would be challenged and stimulated each day. And indeed she was! Although she was enrolled only part time, our daughter loved her Goddard School experience from day one. Each day she came home talking about what she learned that day, the funny things her "buddies" said and did, and even practicing her newest yoga poses! Never once did she give us any reason to question her experience at school. We could see her growing intellectually each week! The teachers at the school are generally very vested in their work and seem to sincerely care about the children that they work with each day. I cant say enough positive things about the teachers our daughter had in her last classroom, the Frog Room. We have since relocated out of state, but our daughter continues to talk about these teachers on an almost daily basis! To me, that speaks volumes to the overall program at the school. If I had any concern, it would be the number of rooms that my child was in over the course of a full day at school. The students/teachers often rotate rooms throughout the day based on the number of children in the room at any given time. This sometimes made for a confusing pick-up/drop-off situation, but on the flip side, I think the variety was also good for my daughter and continued to provide her with a variety of new friends and experiences. If we we still in the are, our daughter would most definitely still be attending this school and I would likely be enrolling my younger son there as well. Our experience was great overall and I truly feel that the Goddard School set a very solid foundation and love of learning for our daughter and her future educational endeavors!
