My daughter is 3 has attended DDDC since she was 8 months old. I have been very happy with the staff, care, and cleanliness of the day care. Being an educator myself, I felt it was very important to take my child to a place where she could thrive both socially, and academically. DDDC has given her just that, and more! She loves her teachers and friends at "school". The owner and director work closely with the students and staff, and have for over 30 years. I am planning on sending my son there in the fall as well (he will be 10 months old). I would highly recommend this day care to anyone looking for a place to send their child, where they will be cared for as if they were their own.

My 3 year old currently attends DDDC, and has since she was a year old. Prior to sending my daughter here, 7 years ago my son attended preschool here and we were equally as pleased then. The crazy thing is that the same teachers that were there a long time ago are still there. This is unheard of in the child care business. I would like to publicly recognize the high level expectations and quality of education that this center provides. I am a public school teacher and see that this preschool is doing many of the same things our Kindergarten classes teach. The lessons are thoughtful and always themed. I am impressed and will recommend this daycare to anyone who asks.

DDDC is a wonderful daycare! I have two kids who go to this Daycare. We have been going there since my oldest, who is now 7, was 3 months old. The infants and smaller toddlers have their own building separating them from the older kids. They have daily record sheets for the little ones to let you know about their days. The activities they have for the older children are great. During the summer they do all kinds of activities including swimming, bowling, and all kinds of sports activities. My kids love going on the field trips. Its very obvious that the teachers and staff truly care about the children. I highly recommend DDDC!!

The caregivers at DDDC are part of our family. My daughter is 3 and has been going to DDDC since she was 12 weeks old. I never had to worry about her being left in dirty diapers like friends of mine experienced. Starting around 2, the kids are in a more structured schedule and learn ABCs, counting, shapes, etc. We both love it! They made potty training a breeze. I feel that DDDC was 95% responsible for the quick, successful potty training of my daughter. I cannot imagine taking my child anywhere else and would highly recommend DDDC to anyone.

My son started attending this daycare when he was 3 months old. The providers seem genuinely interested in caring for him and I do not worry about him when I leave the facility. I look forward to the fieldtrips when he is older. I enjoy reading the daily reports each day when I pick him up. The reports are detailed and it sounds like they enjoy having him there. I like knowing that the workers have been around for a long time...some for 20 years...that says a lot about the facility and management.

DDD is a wonderful place that has been incredible for my son. Its a family run business that really cares for the kids. My son has been going for the last 6 months and loves it. Its been great for him to have a chance to learn and interact with other kids. The staff is incredible... its clear they really care about what they are doing. I will not hesitate to send my daughter there when time comes and any other children my wife and I have in the future. Were believers in DDD!

Fantastic Daycare! My daughter started at David Douglas Daycare when she was only 12 weeks old. They made me feel so comfortable about leaving her. Over a year later she enjoys going to her "school" each morning. The staff are all so caring and kind. We receive reports each day on activities and Im always amazed by the art projects they have my daughter participating in at such a young age. I highly recommend David Douglas Daycare!

He has learned so much from your staff and we are grateful to DDDC for being such a big part of his growth. My family is on its second generation at David Douglas Day Care. I enrolled my daughter in 1982. She and my son both attended and loved being there. Thirty years later my daughter enrolled her daughter and in 2015 her second daughter. Both girls are happy and well cared for. In fact, some of the same people who taught her now take care of her children. It has been a blessing to our family for all these years.

My daughters, ages 3 and 1, have been attending DDDC since they were 4 months old. I love the staff and so do my kids. I am pretty sure all of the staff are trained in early childhood education. I also love that DDDC is so flexible with my schedule. They offer very reasonable rates and are probably one of the only daycares left in Portland that accomodates people with variable schedules.

Great place to care for, and help raise, your children. We have had both of our kids attend and they do an amazing job of prepping them for school. It feels like many of the staff are almost like family. Our kids talk about their teachers at home all the time. Highly recommended, affordable and always flexible in the availability of care.

Fantastic place for my children. I have had both of my children attend DDDC. My son in now 9 and daughter is 4. Its hard enough to leave your kids to work full time but when you have a place like DDDC, it makes it easy. Affordable and always open. I would recommend DDDC to any family.
