I booked Soiree a year and a half before my wedding and met with Molli on multiple occasions. I was originally turned off when she kept using the phrase "your people" to refer to my Indian guests and when she mentioned she did not like to handle Indian weddings. This was after I had already paid my first deposit so I felt that I would have wasted $1,000 if I decided to drop Soiree as my event planner. Unexpectedly, a couple weeks before the wedding, she indicated to me that she would not be the day of coordinator as she decided to handle another wedding. This was unfortunate as I had booked her so long ago and spoke to her on multiple occasions about literally every detail. She assured me she would go over every detail with her back up. She instead sent an assistant who knew nothing about how my events would work. That assistant did not understand the schedule and my family members had to step in as she had no clue about what to do. The assistant was nice, but, unfortunately, completely useless. I provided my feedback to Molli and she provided me with a $320 refund which is minimal given that I paid $3,200. Molli ultimately indicated that it would by my familys word against her assistants word. I am sure Molli (herself) would have been great as she knew the details. However, be wary of booking unless you write in the contract that Molli MUST be the one to handle your wedding. PLEASE, no assistants...
