After reading such good reviews online about this place, my husband and I came here to try it. It was a rather big let down. Not only are the prices spendy for what you get, but the cashier told us it would be $20 for our meal... We got the hashbrowns ($11) and the biscuits and gravy ($8). How do you charge too much for such simple prices to add up??? We were then seated at a clean table and given clean glasses with an iced pitcher of water to leave with us. After a few minutes, our food was brought to us by the cashier. ...And we never saw him again. (I have my suspensions that the cashier was actually the owner of the restaurant. If that is so, I dont see this place surviving.) The food was not that impressive to look at. But I thought, "Well, it might be good anyway..." NOPE. The hashbrowns were soggy and oily. The only thing appealing about that dish was the fried egg on top and pulled pork mixed in. Couldnt even tell if the orange chunks were carrots or yams. Still have no clue thinking about it. It was just short of being moosh. The biscuits and gravy, however, were excellent. Sage and cheesy sauce with ground sausage mixed in, poured over warm biscuits. That meal would have been perfect if it had came with some fruit, or pickled vegetable, or SOMETHING to cleanse your palette in between bites. I would have enjoyed my meal better if it werent for the staff moping around in the kitchen and throwing us weird glances every once in a while. One woman in particular, when I was looking around at the nicely remodelled building to enjoying all the tile, concrete counters, and heavily lacquered woods, gave me a look I can only describe to my husband as "A look a cat would give you. As if they were silently judging you for existing." It was very bazaar to get such a disdainful look from a woman I only met eyes with by accident. The whole atmosphere the staff was giving off was just bad. Not friendly. Not sociable. And I cant understand why? We only talked to the cashier. We were quiet. We even told the cashier it was our first time in. I dont see myself going back. I would rather eat at the Wildwood next to OK (Oregon Knitting). It may look trashy in there, but it gives you a sense of small town friendliness and the food is spectacular. 2 stars for the clean dishes and good gravy. Everything else, ZERO.

I had the best chicken sandwich Ive ever had today. Every ingredient was just perfect; the house baked bread, the homemade pickles, the buttermilk fried chicken, the blue cheese dressing. Starting with the fresh beet salad and ending with a light carmel pecan macaroon made this the best lunch in town. Best of all the prices are so reasonable for such gourmet dishes. I will be back!

So often these days, with fresh ingredients available from nearby farms, cooking at home ends up being better than going to a restaurant. Not so at this place. Chef Jesse is a god -- so inventive, inspiring, and caring in his presentation. Such careful and thoughtful combinations. Salads to die for (or at least Google review about). Were so thankful theyre in town.

Unbelievably good food in a modern, casual environment. Large "bar" area to sit at and watch the chef/sous chefs at work- fascinating to watch and the chef will even pause to answer questions about the dishes. Incredible flavor combinations that surprise and delight. Only open for breakfast and lunch, limited menu but everything is wonderful!

Good food -- though the prices are really quite high for order-at-the-counter service. For example, the $11 turkey sandwich doesnt come with anything on the side (chips, greens, whatever). Beware of extra ingredients, too -- unadvertised aioli on sandwiches, sour cream on the chili when only cheddar and onion advertised.

This place is really good and combining flavors. Its also probably the only place in McMinnville to get fresh macaroons. Every time Ive come here Ive had a great meal. Sure the prices are a bit high, but the food is very fresh and local. You do get what you pay for.

By far my favorite restaurant. Chef Jesse has an amazing talent for blending flavors. He often has specials that would be two to three times the price if served for dinner at a fine dining, linen tablecloth type restaurant. Yum!

One of my favorites. Top to bottom the entire staff have one purpose and thats to deliver to you a culinary experience that would be hard to match. Rotating specials has made this a weekly surprise for me. Never been disappointed.

I came here for the gluten free options. They were helpful and made my food separately, using a new cutting board and changing gloves. It was good but very expensive for what you get. The GF options are limited.

The beet salad was very flavorful. The tomato salad with fennel was interesting. Very good chick pea Burger. Great prices. They have some creative menu items as well.

Great food. A bit overpriced. Sandwiches should come with something on the side for $15. Just some chips or a small green salad...something. It looked so lonely.

Fresh, delicious, local food and I believe they may "put an addictive chemical in their chicken that makes you crave it fortnightly, smart-ass".
