I had an appointment set up for Wednesday with Nicole which I had written down right after I got off the phone with her and this was repeated a few times over the phone to make sure I heard correctly. When I walked into the salon, she was at the reception desk and I told her at the reception desk that Im here to see Nicole and she acted like it wasnt her and she told me to have a seat. 5 minutes later she brought me into the back room to tell me that she had the appointment set for yesterday and that she just considered me a no show. The appointment was not set for Tuesday as I would have wrote Tuesday if she said Tuesday. Nicole then told me that shes too busy and then wished me a farewell. Nicole made me feel very unwelcome there and I was completely shocked that she had lied to me about the said appointment. I will make sure to never come to this shop again and I will let the people I know to avoid Bishops Barbershop on Beaverton/Hillsdale highway.

Got my hair cut here a while back. The cut was mediocre and the girl who did it was super rude because I didnt know which clipper attachment adapter things to use. Last time I checked Im not the one who cuts hair for a living. Went in again tonight, within the last hour they were open. Was turned away because theyre getting ready to close up. There were two other customers there I just get my hair buzzed off anyways, maybe would have taken ten minutes at the most. I didnt realize it was that close to closing, my bad there and I hate to be that dick, but it seemed to me there was plenty of time to help me out. Then again she didnt have to rudely say "our hours are clearly posted on the door". How can a business remain such by turning clients away? Oh well. Im done with this location. Other locations however have been excellent for me.

This is not the first time for me to go to Bishops. It wont be the last, but I will not go back to the Beaverton Hillsdale location again. Nor will I tell anyone else to go there. I came into use a coupon that I had received in the main for a free haircut. I just needed a trim anyway. I told the girl to trim my hair and texture the ends since I am growing it out for my wedding. She ignored me and trimmed the back as short at my ears. The whole trim took around 7 minutes. When I went up to pay, I saw that the coupon had expired (though it had no expiration date on it). No prob, Ill just pay for the trim. No dice. They charged me for a "long cut" because the front half of my hair was touching my shoulders. $25 dollars for a trim. Should have gone to great cuts and paid $7.

I have been going to April for over a year. She is the first stylist in a lifetime to not cut my hair uneven. I have lots of fine straight/bendy hair. She has been helping me grow it out and styling it to not look like I am! She always gets my poor attempts at describing what I want and she has such great style that most of the time I let her do whatever she pleases. Love love love her. My only gripe is it is a pain sometimes to see her due to the walk in only issue and the pictures at the stations are a little scandalous for my boys (I realized this AFTER my son was sitting in a chair :)

Free beer? Miller High Life is what they have. I paid $24 for a supercuts level hair cut. I was so far away from the mirror (which was cluttered by gross images) that I could not tell the fade was totally messed up. This is not HairM, this is not anything like HairM, and I will never be to this place again. They didnt even give me a rinse with the cut, which is included in every hair cut Ive ever had. I guess I get what I deserve by not just waiting the 40 minutes for a cut at a high quality salon that knows how to properly cut mens hair.

Ive been going there for 5+ years. Ive had one not so good cut, a couple mediocre, and many exceptional cuts. They are always friendly and helpful. Id question one of the poor reviews...they dont make appointments. From the website, "Bishops Barbershop Services are ala carte and we take walk-in clients only, no reservations needed." Id give them 5 stars if there wasnt so much staff turnover. I think that may mean they are not well supported by the organization. Still, I find a new stylist and am overall quite happy with my results.

Im sorry, but this place is just a disappointment.I know its locally owned, which is nice. Its also kinda trendy, which is cool. But really, its just a corporation trying to sell you a cool sizzle, instead of a good steak. Ive been there a few times. Used to be a nice girl there who did a good job, cant remember her name, unfortunately. But anyway, shes gone now, and the other stylists Ive seen were nice, and theyve been there a little while now, but none were able to give me the look I wanted.

I have been in here a few times now, HOPING they would match the experience of the ones downtown. No go. Each time I was over charged for a lousy haircut. Then they push the products like their life depends on it. If you take the chance to go in here & get the stylist with the spikey blond hair & the stocking tattoos with the pink bows on top, RUN FOR YOUR HAIR! Its taken me WEEKS to even remotely have my nags look normal again.

Go see April, she rocks! Ive been seeing her for about a year now at the sw location near Beaverton. I got her on a busy day and instantly liked her because were both from Wisconsin. I went in not feeling great about my appearance and she made my day, I felt friggin fabulous when I left and have been going to her ever since. Shes hilarious and always makes my day either with her midwest charm or stellar head massage.

Went in last week to get color didnt get what i wanted but the were willing to fix it. Went back in got the color fixed but now my hair is falling out from the bleach boiling out of the foil while in the dryer. Ive lost 6 inches to my hair. Ive never had a bad experience here until now. Called today and havent heard back from the manager. Never going back.

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. I walked in looking 100% better than when I left. I have a simple A-line bob haircut and the girl didnt blend it at all. She left me with an asymmetrical bowl cut. I dont understand how such an awful stylist could find a job. then again it is called a barbershop so I should not have expected salon quality.

i cant believe these peoples experiences. i see Serena and she is awesome! i had been going to a way too expensive salon and then switched to Bishops. i have an A-line bob which is pretty tricky to cut, she does a top notch job. i have sent many friends who love her too. i also take my kids, does an awesome job on them too.
