This barbershop is a hidden gem. It is tucked behind the tigard transit center in downtown tigard, and prior to three months ago I had never heard of it. However, given the quality and character of the main barber there, Adel, it deserves to be known. Like the name implies, the barbershop has an antique type of feel with a slight modern twist. In fact, one of the chairs has one of those leather straps attached to it to sharpen razors. Adil expertly uses a 25 year old shaving foam dispenser, hot towel, and straight razor to line you up, give you a skin fade, or a nice hard part. He is wiz with the scissors and almost leaves you with your jaw on the ground. I can assure youve likely never experienced scissor techniques of his caliber. Not only is he an excellent barber but hes also a genuine humble man. Its always a pleasure to go in to the shop and have a conversation with him about topics ranging from food to even religion. Needless to say, I HIGHLY recommend this barbershop and Adel specifically. So if youre looking for a high quality cut for a reasonable price while supporting a small business, visit antique barbershop!

Just moving here from VA all I had to do was search "barber shop" and Adel was everywhere. This has to easily be the best shop Ive stepped foot in. The atmosphere, the passion. You really feel comfortable and at home with Adel while he gives you THE best fade and straight razor shave experience you will ever get!! I HIGHLY recommend this shop for anyone, not just traditional fades, they do it all! Ms. Virginia is a wonderful woman and has done every type of style cut you could think of! During my haircut (mind you I was getting cut by Adel) made me coffee and brought me fresh strawberries! Ive never experienced a shop like this and just after my first visit Ive become a STRICT regular and now refuse to go anywhere else! EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO TO THE ANTIQUE BARBER SHOP!!

There is nothing but great things to say, this is hands down the best Barbershop in town! I’m so grateful to have found this place because I had struggled for such a long time to find a place that really knows what they are doing. Adel is very passionate and dedicated towards what he does. Unlike many other places I’ve been to, he has great attention to detail and style, doesn’t rush, and makes sure that you get a priceless cut that will keep you coming back. Be sure to call ahead and schedule an appointment since the shop is always busy, and try not to be late so you don’t risk having to reschedule. The Antique Barbershop is the only place I trust to cut my hair now.

Only 3 barbers have cut my hair right the first time. Carolyn Barker, who owned this shop before Adil, was one. Adil is another. Id been going to Carolyn for 20+ years, so I was not delighted when she told me she was retiring. But I was confident shed find somebody good to serve her clients - & she did. If you want a mediocre haircut in a hurry, dont go here. Adil is the most meticulous barber, and one of the most meticulous craftspeople, Ive ever encountered. Real good isnt good enough; he wants to give a perfect haircut, and hell devote the time & attention to do it. If youre looking for the best haircut of your life, try Adil.

The barber, Adel is a prodigy and he treats his customers like gold. I have never felt like I was being rushed out the door like you do in the chains. He will not let you leave the chair until your cut is perfect and exactly how youd like it. He loves what he does and takes pride in his work. And hes a master with a straight razor, whether touching up your hair or your beard. His ability and skill appears to hail from the classic school of barbers. Theres also a good chance if youre visiting from abroad he can speak with you since he speaks a bunch of different languages. Youll no doubt find yourself coming back.

I was looking for a great hair cut place for almost a year, I finally found it. Im usually skeptical going to a new shop but Adil made me feel right at home. I was truly impressed how meticulous he was, and he did a great job with my tapered cut. His attention to detail is what separates this establishment from the rest of the pack. Excellent old school barber shop and young owner who really knows how to cut mens hair. I will be back again in the future. I wish I could leave 6 stars. Definitely check it out if you are looking to get a haircut.

This is the best barber I have found. He has serious skills and a passion for being a barber. He aims to give you the best haircut you have had and he delivers nothing less. He has really built his clientele, so I recommend calling the day before and scheduling an appointment. I also would like to add that he is a true master with a straight razor. He will give you the best straight razor shave you can get and its only 10$....Truly, he has unbelievable talent with the razor, and all aspects of true barber.

This is the third time Ive been to Antique Barbershop and Im so lucky to have came across such a tried and true place . The owner and staff ,in particular Virginia, treat each customer that comes through the door with the utmost respect and attention to detail. I recommend this place a million times over and will keep coming back for my monthly cuts. Not only do they have a punch card for return customers but the price is absolutely affordable for working class folks. Thanks !!!

Fresh Hair cut everytime! Quick too! I even came in with a hair cut that was from a different place. It was all sorts of messed up and I got it fixed here right before leaving for a trip I was going on. Adel is the man. He is a true artist and takes his profession seriously. He has been doing this for 25 years and learned the trade growing up in his uncles barbershop. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of time and detail he puts into his work. Hes a real perfectionist and isnt done until you are 100% satisfied. Very good with beards and straight razor shaves. He did a great job with my 4 year old son as well. I will definitely be going back !

I just moved to the West Coast and was looking for a consistent barber in the area. I couldnt have found a better guy! Adil takes his time and cuts your hair with precision and detail. Ive been twice now and have been more than satisfied leaving both times, as the quality and the service/conversation is top-notch (and the price is very reasonable). If you have the time/patience, the wait is well worth it.
