Not very goods: -I have visited a few times and selection was not good at first glance. -Many items are priced unreasonably high by $3-$7 higher than it should be. Inconsistent pricing. -One female staffer was not welcoming. The goods: -On the 4th visit I begin to find a lot of great clothing items. Unique brands to justify the higher thrift store prices. - 9 out of 10 staffers seemed genuinely happy and thus were super helpful to customers - dressing rooms are managed tightly resulting in clean and organized dressing rooms. - colored tag of the month gets 50% off I bought a lot of great items that were quality pieces and at a fair price for being second hand. $200 spent and felt I got a fantastic wardrobe! Shoes, clothes, and bags. Childrens book selection is weak.

I would like to let the public know what a horrible experience I had at cashier training at the goodwill headquarters in Portland. The instructor was horribly rude. Her name was Marsha. She gave us 30/minitues to learn everything and made me share a cash register with another student before the test so I didnt have a chance in hell to pass the test. I called and called trying to file a complaint and nobody has returned my calls even though they promised they would so I lost my job. Dont even think of getting a job here. The staff is awful and they dont give a crap about their future staff. Horrible people. Horrible place to work!!! Plus they told us to lie to our customers. Let this be a warning. Laura Schwalm

I was at the supper store at sunday the 23.I went to the back of the store and DRANK OUT OF THE DRINKING FOUNTAIN.I noticed that it tasted different like it was well water.I went home and was violently SICK. I didnt eat anything before I went to that store but was up all night vomiting..I havent been sick in 5 years.and had a Flu shot a week before.I called the water bureau and they said "I know exactly what store you are talking about" tell them to change there filters,,,Its the next day and I am feeling better But I wouldnt wish that kind of sickness on an enemy. So I dont want anything more then to NOT HAVE THAT HAPPEN TO ANY ONE ELCE.

I drove 30 minutes there and got there at 8:25 with my mom and knocked on the doors since they were completely closed last week. We asked why they wouldnt open the doors to tell us they were yelling through the doors (we couldnt even hear them) and about 3 or 4 other customers were outside also pissed they closed early when the hours on the doors say 9pm. The workers were staring and laughing especially the "manager" I would assume who was yelling through the window. The rude way the workers responded to our questions made this goodwill look trashy and rude and Im not going to be shopping there again.

Hey Barbara Telfer , if you care so much about those other two local thrift stores that contribute to the community, why not list them here? Im genuinely interested, but youre not providing substance of your claim...thus really missing out on the opportunity to help your community that you care so much about. Be proactive, Barbara...instead of just complaining.

We have been shopping there for two years, and have always had a good experience while browsing. Sure some prices are a bit high, but most thrift stores do overprice some items- ever since the mid-90s when thrift stores became "cool". Its still cheaper than buying new! The store is clean, the staff is helpful and pleasantly quirky, and great deals still abound.

This is BY FAR my favorite Goodwill store in Portland. Every time I find amazing, one of a kind items or clothes- its always busy and theres a reason why. Im not sure how they determine which things go to which store, but this one has *never* disappointed me. Their cashiers/clerks are usually positive and seem to enjoy what they do. LOVE THIS STORE.

The Goodwill is definitely my most favorite in Portland. It's clean, in a relatively comfortable neighborhood, large, and easy to get to. It also has a wide variety of almost everything, and the employees are nice and will help you out. I suggest this Goodwill above the other Portland area ones, and I hope you find what you need there!

This is the most awesome Goodwill I have been to. Its got lots of exciting things different all the time and the prices are affordable. Its got interesting items in all departments and the staff is always helpful and entertaining when you talk to them. I come from Eugene to to go to THIS STORE. Wish it was closer to my town....

My dirt-poor white trash childhood is weeping in shame at this place. Its the Goodwill "boutique" and I kinda dont get it. So... used stuff at trendy vintage prices I guess? But theres more selection and better items at the 47 other vintage stores near by.. so.. but hey at least its not that Hollywood Video that used to be there..

Its confusing because they have their clothes split up in family sections. You dont know what the sizes mean. One great thing is they have some newer video games at great prices. Just by sheer size - they have more more "sections" - however, that doesnt mean much more selection...notice the difference.

The local Goodwill store competes directly with two well established and very clean and organized charity thrift shops. Those shops do a lot more for the local community than Goodwill ever plans to do. They have the highest paid non-profit CEO on the west coast. And we will not forget it.

I really find it hard to believe this is a non profit with its super high prices. I wonder how much the CEO makes I am sure 100 times the highest paid employee. This is just another fake nonprofit profiting from donations.

i recently started going to this goodwill a bit more often. They have good shoe selection, but not so much in mens clothing i have found. This place is always really clean and organized compared to some other locations.

Best Goodwill I have ever been to. The store has a huge variety and it is kept tidy. The career center offers free classes, and the customer service is really good. The employees will go out of their way to help you.

This is one of the better goodwills, you can still find good deals. On this visit I bought a pair of nice leather shoes for 2.50$ they where half off color that day. Some prices are higher but you can find deals.

This goodwill is bigger than others who h is fantastic. If you feel like searching for a few hours you might be able to find something g you really like. There are always great finds here.

One of the larger goodwill stores. The downtown location brings in a bit of a disreputable crowd. But they probably need the place more than we do so, live and let live.

poor service, and you really need to make it clear that your refunds are for in store credit only. I was shocked and unhappy to learn this when I returned items today.

The prices are super high! Old old ipod for 60 and its 60gb non color.... so lame. Anything decent is 120+ dollars for something that coated 100 new from bestbuy

This Goodwill is huge! That being said, I feel like the ratio of "awesome items" to "meh items" is a little low. I did find all of my dishes here really cheap!
