Recently moved to PDX, was dreading the day I had to seek out and find a new barber. Review were all good and had a recommendation from a friend, so I gave it a try. By far the best experience ever. Never mind a first try. Mark listened and actualy oaid attention to what I had to say. Always had issues before with other barbershops and salons. He did an awesome job. Was very attentive to all the idiosyncrasies. Very easy atmosphere, very clean, proper well equipped personel. Definitely returning to Mark in the furture.

Kenzy is rad. Spends time making sure everything is straight and perfect and I am happy with the cut. Glad I can go somewhere where I wont be forced to conform to the standard Portland "side part/high fade/heres some pomade for your hair" look; they can do it all! The shop might not look like the classiest joint, but Ive been to classy joints, and the haircuts there suck.

Ian gave me a great haircut, had a beer while I waited (which was about 30 seconds lol), relaxed vibe inside. Came out with exactly the look I wanted and had a shot of scotch for the road. Casual conversation and good music. Overall a great experience in a chill atmosphere. I will happily recommend this place to all my friends.

Rooks is my go-to for cuts. Old school, mom-and-pop brick and mortar shops just dont do it right for me, but Rooks has always had me covered. While their cuts are a little on the spendier side, it is worth it for the experience and results. Go in, grab a beer, get a fresh cut and be on your way.
