We were really excited to try this place. The outside looked intriguing and the interior decor was beautiful but upon entry we were a little turned off. We stood by the entrance for 10 minutes before being acknowledged then we were sat at a table that was basically on top of the other tables next to us. We then waited another fifteen minutes before someone came to give us menus. We had not been asked about drinks at all. We then ordered after about another 15 minutes and an employee from the kitchen came out to tell me that they were all out of kebabs. We were then given the menu again and had to wait a while before anyone would take our order a second time. The server that took our order finally got us some waters and we thought everything was placed after almost an hour. Then the chef came out to explain what foods we could order and I proceeded to order the beef and lamb meatballs. We also ordered an appetizer of hummus as well as a lamb and vegetable entree and a side of couscous. The entrees also included a salad. We got the hummus and that was decent as far as hummus goes but then we never got our salads. We waited a while between appetizer and entree without our glasses being filled with more water or our appetizer plates being cleared. Our entrees then finally came to the table after over an hour of us entering the restaurant and I could not believe what I had gotten. Five tiny meatballs for 20$. The lamb entree was far better taste wise and value wise, but we pulled a large amount of bones and even a hair out of it. Also our couscous was MIA. The people at the table next to us had similar issues with service and items being forgotten as well as issues with a Groupon they were trying to use. I could not believe how many rave reviews there were for this place online. Even if the food is amazing somewhere, I feel like service cannot be something you sacrifice. I am in the restaurant industry and I cant imagine not attending to guests or forgetting that many items or even cleaning off tables (the people that got up shortly after we had gotten there had never had their table cleaned for new guests). We will not be returning.

Very poor experience, from when Ive called previously until my calling today to see if we needed a reservation. Owner was not courteous via phone, told me reservation should be made since it was a weekend, not a weekend it was yesterday Wednesday. When we arrived at the restaurant our reserved table for 2 was smacked between 2 other tables where there wouldnt have any room to move, we asked to be seated at another table and was told the other tables were reserved.2 other couples came in without reservations and were told the other tables were reserved and seated them at a long table against the wall. We got our food. The owner made sure she came around to the 2 other patrons to check how their meals were but she never once had the courtesy or professionalism to come to our table. Our waitress was nice. No we will never go back, especially to a restaurant where they make you feel unwelcome!

The food is amazing! I took my girlfriend to Firinji to explore the exotic tastes of Moroccan food. We _loved_ it. I had a chicken and steak kabob while my gf had veggie Kumpir . Both meals were delicious and savory. The place was recently bought and run by a Moroccan woman who definitely puts a large amount of love into the food. Its some of the most savory and well-seasoned food Ive had, beating out most places in Ardmore for authenticity. Being that its run by one person with limited staff, youll definitely have to have some patience. If you can make it through the somewhat hokey experience (owner is running around with menus, cooking, greeting, etc) then youll be in for a treat when you taste the food. To top it all off, its reasonably priced! This is one of our new favorites.

just ordered a Lahmajoun wrap with chicken via grubhub - first they were an hour late delivering it and when we called the first time they lied and said it was out for delivery. doesnt take 1 hour to drive 4 miles so im betting they never even looked for the order till we called. What a disappointment after all that wait. instead of a medley of vegetable it was basically a lettuce filled wrap. i couldnt taste any other vegetables and the chicken portion was so sparse it was barely noticeable and the part i noticed was dry and stringy and most likely left over chicken from last week. worst food worst service ever. no wonder theyre changing their name to Marokko, so people dont realize how crappy their food is. cant comment on eating in, but dont use delivery.

This is a really great Turkish-Fusion restaurant and smoothie place, which will soon be adding gelato and specialty coffee. Think fresh Arab-Mediterranean food served in a wrap - very healthy and delicious. The owner is often behind the counter - this restaurant is his dream and his passion. Its bursting with his culinary and artistic creativity. He is savvy in the kitchen, as well as with design, architecture, and music, and he has local art on the walls. Perfect place to meet friends, have a casual meal or smoothie, do work, or relax with a book borrowed from the shelf in the corner. Its been hiding in plain sight since it opened in early 2011 but it deserves being discovered!

Always a delicious meal at Firinji in Ardmore. Its a Turkish cafe with kabobs, baked potatoes stuffed with wonderous vegies, and anything else your heart desires. Try the rich, authentic, Italian espresso or bold Turkish coffee with sweet baklava. The atmosphere is down home and the staff so welcoming. Budo, the owner and head chef brings his gourmet recipes to an inexpensive, casual and artsy venue. Theyre open late too. My current fav on the main line!

This is no longer quick casual. Its a complete sit down, so expect higher prices. Unfortunately the kitchen and wait staff are not ready for table service. Expect to wait. Also understand the online menu is different from the one in store. They must have copied the old page from the old owners but forgot its different. The food is great but its not enough to carry the other short comings.

Loved it. Im so over the traditional wraps of a place like Chipotle. This has a Mediterranean flare, great atmosphere, BYOB and a helpful/courteous staff. How many places do you go that they actually cut up the chicken when you order it? My only feedback is that the menu is a bit confusing. It takes a bit of figuring to know what is in each wrap/flatbread. They even deliver.

Food was great! They were justifiably crowded, turning away people without reservations on a Saturday night. Mediterranean mezza, an appetizer sampler, was a standout. But they were woefully understaffed with only 2 servers to wait and bus a room seating about 3 dozen, so the service was sloooow. Will definitely return, but maybe on a week night.

You know when you enjoy a restaurants food so you recommend it to friends to find it not as good as your review? Well that hasnt happened here for me... it usually gets better each time. The fruzis are delicious, as are the kumpirs, and I wouldnt have guessed it, but the Tuscan chicken panini was spectacular, too.
