I, too, was approached regarding the hail storm and was lucky enough to have the majority of my roof and siding replaced and paid for by my homeowners insurance. I received a quote in May of 2015 and approved the work. It took weeks for them to show up for the roof work onLY after continuous follow up by me as to when they would start the work. In July, I received a final invoice and completion of work notice BUT the work was not done. They never came back to do the siding, shutters and gutters. They didnt show up until the end of august to finish the job and with no notice they were even coming. Also there was some work that the insurance company would not pay for but the township required. I had received a notice from my current homeowners insurance that I needed to provide them with proof the roof was replaced or I would be dropped at the end of the contract year (which I was because they wouldnt provide me with the documentation I kept requesting). From the time the work was completed up until November I called continuously requesting an itemized invoice of the work and what was owed and paid so I could supply that to my insurance company. After never receiving the paperwork I finally gave up. I tried numerous times to pay what I owed but did not have a final invoice of that. Now, its the end of march and they have the nerve to contact me that they will be coming to my house to pick up a check. They were paid almost completely in full (over $4500) at the beginning of the job except for my $500 deductible. I was not able to return their call about coming for payment so they called me the very next day threatening me. Im floored at this behavior since I tried for months to make final payment and that THEY let this go for so long. When I finally called them back I asked why this has taken so long I was told they just have so many files and they are just now getting back to me. Seriously? SO once again I asked for an itemized bill and they have basically refused. Today I receive a letter in the mail stating the amount of the job and what was paid...thats their idea of itemization. On the letter it says I have basically a week to pay in full or they are going to the magistrate to put a lien against my property. This has been the worst experience I have ever had. I would not recommend this company to anyone. The way they do business is a disgrace! Their behavior in this matter just makes me think they are in financial trouble. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Let me start by saying that this is the first time Ive ever reviewed a company online. I am very easy to work with and takes a ton to get me frustrated to the point that I am with this company. I hired Novak to repair my house after hail damage when one of their representatives came to our door after the big hail storm in the Reading area in 2014. At first they were very good and started strong; however, as the project continued and after they had most of their money it has become evident that they no longer give a crap about their customers and finishing the job. At least 3 times now I have taken off of work to meet a Novak guy at my house first thing in the morning only to have them show up at least an hour late...which seemed like no big deal to them with the answer each time being "I was in traffic". Everyone knows that there is traffic from Bethlehem to Reading in the morning...maybe you should leave a little earlier. On multiple occasions they came without everything they needed to finish the job and it is obvious that the communication it terrible from one guy who comes out to the next. When you email them at their general company email address...if the girl who normally receives those emails is out on vacation or not available for any reason...those emails just sit there and are ignored....they dont get forwarded to anyone else and no one checks them. While they did my siding...they absolutely butchered a tree by breaking off branches (not cutting...just breaking) without checking with us. I could go on but that is enough. So if you are looking for a company who will start off fast... I guess they are fine but if you want a company who will do what they say at the end, finish up the job and actually give a crap about their customers time...do yourself a favor and look for another company.

I dont know who these people are that left some of these reviews but my family has been using Novak Home Improvements for years. They have always been professional and courteous. I most recently had them do my roof, gutters, downspouts, and siding. These guys are great to deal with. They have specialized crews. They did my roof first. One of their roofing crews came out and did my home in one day and had it done before I got home from work. They had a specialized siding crew come out a few days later and installed an insulated vinyl siding (my home is turn of the century and does not have much, if any, insulation). By the way, wow...the insulated siding has drastically helped in both the winter as well as the summer. They wrapped all of the wood around my windows and doors that required painting every few years. Everything was sealed (no more bees making nests). They installed new shutters as well. Then they installed seamless gutters and downspouts. No more leaking seams. No more gutter spikes to loosen up. The job turned out absolutely phenomenal. Every one of their employees that I have dealt with were very cordial. The job was completed very quickly. The cost was as quoted. I would recommend and have recommended this company to anyone who is looking for high quality work at a fair price. Thank you Novak Home Improvements.

They are Working in my development replacing every roof. Probably a huge job for them. and it is currently 7:30 on a Saturday and they are ripping the roof off next door. I am not sure if they are aware that on weekends people sleep in. My development allows home improvements between 10am and 10pm. You would think on a huge job they would figure that out before waking up at least 10 plus households on a saturday morning. They also broke the light on the outside of the unit and dropped a shingle through a screen, while throwing the old shingles off

Had my initial roof done 25 years ago by Novak, and it was still fine until Hurricane Sandy hit. Novak Home Improvements replaced the roof and did a terrific job. The owner was very professional, the workers were friendly, and worked hard to get my roof done in 2 days. They helped me through the process when deciding on the right color. (I changed my mind 3 times! LOL!) I have a large roof and a garage and I was impressed at the quality and appearance of the finished product.
