SCAM ARTIST AND POSSIBLE ID THEFT WARNING. DO NOT GO HERE. Should be less than 1 star. First time I went here was with my Subaru. I had a PA inspection done. No big deal. Drove home packed my car for an 8 hour vacation out of state and now, suddenly, my car wont start. Called Pepboys back. Had to have AAA jump me and drove it back. Now, suddenly, even though they claim they tested everything for the state inspection, they missed this and made a mistake and I need a new battery. That day was a whole day endeavour and cost me nearly $400. Round 2: took my Kia there. Thought I would give them another shot because everyone makes mistakes and what are the odds this will happen again. Guess what? Took my Kia van in for a flat tire. Told them which tire and the indicator on the dash also tells you which tire. I look in the shop and they are fixing the wrong tire. I asked why and told them the indicator is still on in my car. They tell me that sensors typically dont work and once the tires are rotated they cant tell which tire is off. Thats not how they work boys. So I asked them did you check all of the tires and make sure they are full? They claim this front tire has a nail (I came there for my rear). The mechanic said to my face that he checked and filled all my tires. I drive the van 2 minutes down the street to my house, get out my trusty tire pressure guage and what do ya know.....still flat. 20 psi vs the 35/40psi ratio in the other tires. I call him back and have to go back again. Keep in mind it took them nearly 2 hours to fix the first flat they "found". Low and behold they made a "mistake" again and were sure to charge me for the installation fee for a new tire that I needed because this time the nail was in my side wall. Hhhmmmm. Couple things I noticed. The mechanic was carrying around the nail he "found" in my tire in his pocket. Why would you not just throw it away? Second, the clerk that checked us out the first time decided that he should just throw our personal information out on the top of the trash can by the Checkout. My husband found our info sitting on the top of the trash when we came back. Way to protect your customers personal information Pepboys. Never again. Called customer service at the corporate center to file a complaint and they told me that I would need to keep calling back to check on my complaint and sometimes people dont receive follow ups. Pepboys does not care for their customers. Dont shop here.

My Experience with this particular Pep boys has been extremely negative thus far. Today in particular was grating. I understand that shops can get booked and filled and things sometimes take time but Im not sure how a normal oil change cant get done within 4 hours of its scheduled appointment. I was assured at the beginning there was no reason it would take more then 1-2 hours max then when i called them back asking after 2 hours i was told oh yeah we were backed up were bringing it in now i figured that settled things. Fast forward yet another hour i call yet again and the car still hasnt even touched the shop and theyre once again "bringing it in right now" Call me crazy but after my third call i promptly told them not to bother and went and picked up my car. Quite frankly get things done at least semi close to when their scheduled or at least call your damn customers if things are backed up. I should not have had to call multiple times to figure things out nor should it have taken so long for an oil change in the first place. Even if I wasnt annoyed by things taking so long I should have been notified or at the very least on one of my multiple phone calls not lied to saying theyd be getting right on it. Learn to give a proper estimate pep boys. That being said in the past Ive noticed while dealing with them that if you arent careful and dont look over the papers carefully in regards to what your having fixed theyll attempt to add unnecessary additions to jack prices up when you dont in any way need the additions just some advice for anyone that takes a car there, look over everything yourself. So thank you pep boys for the fantastic service yet again and leaving me wondering why i went to you for anything car related.

After numerous less than acceptable experiences at this location I will no longer be shopping here. I ordered a Holley Carb. through the store and was told that a nearby location had one in stock and it would be delivered by the end of the following day. 3 days have now gone by and not once did I receive a phone call that it would be delayed, Ive had to call each day only to be told that "its not in but it will most likely be on the next truck" Now on the 3rd day I am told that the store that supposedly had one in stock, actually did not have the part in stock. The rep at the store told me it now needs to be ordered from the warehouse with overnight delivery to then arrive what is now the 4th day. Throughout this entire ordeal I did not once receive a phone call from the store, nor did they go and check on the shipment to see if it even made it on to the truck. I work in the automotive tools and parts industry and I have never seen a worse example of shipping logistics and customer service. Luckily I have not had bad experiences with any of the other Pep Boys Locations, even though it is incontinent I will avoid this location at all costs.

I chose to take advantage of the "Buy 3 get one free" deal, and I was told the tires I selected were not available. They did, however find another set of tires for the same price, and told me that the rebate applied to them as well, so I went with their selection. Long story short: The tires they said were available for the "buy 3 get 1 free" deal were, in fact, not eligible for a rebate, and I waited 8 weeks, and never saw a dime. I received a letter in the mail telling me no rebate would be given. Was this deceit intentional? I would be naive to think it was not. I also asked them to check a number of things that they never checked, and the service was overall very shoddy. They refused to even run a diagnostics check for my vehicle. The attendants were unhelpful, and they seemed to be college-aged kids who were generally unsocialized, and very sarcastic. I cant blame it on them, though--it comes from upbringing--their parents are probably idiots too. I wont be giving these guys any more service.

The mechanic Chris is awesome-- he fixed a mistake another mechanic had made on my car, was able to see me despite being told by a manager he was too busy, and most importantly fixed my car and kept the check engine light off. Everyone else there has terrible customer service skills. Expect to be put on hold on the phone for 15+ minutes, told you can come in only to be told, never mind, theyre too busy. I went in for an inspection at the beginning of June and it took four weeks (and four visits) to finally get my inspection stickers! I felt like I was never a priority. They seem understaffed for the amount of business and traffic they get on a daily basis-- that, or they severely need lessons in customer service and communication. The relationship between mechanic and manager is strained. I will likely not be taking my car back to Pep Boys after this. Missing days of work simply because it took them 12+ hours to do simple repairs and an inspection is ridiculous.
