I brought my 2003 corvette to Matt to have him recover my armrest and make a new shift boot and e-brake boot. I wanted these parts done in ultra-suede. He said he needed to order the material as all he had in stock was headliner suede. So i waited, and waited, and waited for the materials to arrive. Boy am i glad i waited to bring in the parts to be worked on. Because a month later is when it supposedly showed up, so I dropped off all 3 components. I asked Matt when it be done he said 2 weeks....And the clock starts here. So two weeks go by and of course you have to stop in to find out cause he ever answers the phone. Low and behold hes not there, its the middle of the day keep in mind. So i come back the next day, same thing. One more week passed now and I finally talk to him, gives me some b.s. sob story about some shenanigans, whatever bro run your buissness and keep personal sh** at home. He tells me that hes crazy busy and hell get to it very soon, I ask how soon? 2 weeks... hmm starting to see a trend now? Yeah, so another 2 weeks go by. And now its some other b.s. excuse. So i give hime another month, still not done. Meanwhile ive seen people drop off stuff on a Monday and he gets it done asap for them by Friday! WTF Matt. So im not important huh.. wow. I thought at first it was cause you were busy... nope not anymore. So im on to him now for sure. So i go out of town for another 2 weeks. Come back and still not done, surprise surprise. Now im pissed. I dont even want the work to be done. But he insisted that he would have it done, he just kept telling me to come back in a week. Well another 4 weeks of his b.s. goes by. So I decided to go get my stuff back regardless of whether or not it was finished. He said that it would be done tomorrow as soon as i threatened to leave. I gave him that last chance to prove himself even though I should not have at this point. So i showed up that next day and it was actually finished. But it was rushed. Stiching was sloppy and crooked. And the part that really pissed me off was that he used the headliner material that i didnt want, because he never ordered the right stuff! So I paid the man his money and left, only to never return. The total time was 4 months give or take till i finally got my parts back. Matt, word to the wise, if you keep running away customers like this youre probably going to go out of buissness. Which is a shame because you are the last of a dying breed. P.S. yes the guy below this review i did warn, and i will warn everyone in the dover area. GO ELSEWHERE! Much nicer work can be had for less just 20 min south of dover. Oh and one star is because I couldnt leave negative stars.

Ive got to give Matt props for at least having the guts to try; all the other upholstery shops we called wouldnt even touch my motorcycle seat. All I wanted was a different pad under the factory leather to support better on long rides. I was warned about Tip Top and was told not to come here by those who have dealt with Matt before. They told me he doesnt honor agreed upon deadlines and is hard to get a hold of. Against my better judgement I went with Matt because he was the only one who agreed to re-shape my seat. Turns out they were right to warn me. Matt couldnt finish the seat by the date we set weeks earlier and after a couple calls to remind him of exactly when Id be there to pick it back up. My seat now has a brick for a gel-pad underneath thats too hard to sit comfortably on, its too tall so my feat dont touch the ground anymore and the shape of the seat is too fat & bulky so it doesnt follow the contour of my tanks curves. The leather also has bulges and wrinkles all around the back side of the riders seat and theyre pretty obvious. I consider my seat to be in worse shape than when I brought it in. After calling Matt about it a couple times and leaving a message once to call me back I still have yet to hear from him. Ignoring your customers will only get you reviews like this. PS...bring your company into the 21st century and at least accept plastic. Operating on a cash-only basis is lame for those of us who dont deal with cash.

I had a 2005 Ford Mustang GT convertible that need to have the top replaced. I asked the dealership who they use and they pointed me to Tip Top. Dropped the car off in the morning and it was done by the afternoon. The top looks great and the installation looks even better! Price was, from what Ive found, average for the work but knowing the dealership uses them to repair/replace tops and interiors on cars I was more than happy to pay for their expertise and precision. Will be heading back to have the door inserts fixed soon (foam between the door panel and leather has deteriorated after 10 years).
