I just began climbing in the very beginning of this year in January. My friend who introduced me to the sport moved shortly after getting me into it, so I was left going to the climbing gym alone...which can be daunting as a newbie. I have found that literally every single time I go, there is always somebody friendly to chat with, to discuss a specific problem in a route Im working on, to ask for advice. The environment is very friendly toward new climbers (Ive also watched several V7+ climbers come and do their thing). I always boulder, so I cant speak toward the lead climbing in this gym. For bouldering, there is a great cave area with lots of different angles and inclines, an area with a long, steady 45 degree overhang, an area with a large barrel overhang, and a long flat wall with several features on it and fun traverse problems. You can check out the pictures on their website. There are plenty of routes to work on, though I do sometimes wish there were more in the V2-V3 range (to me there seem to be lots of V4-V6s). Overall, I have a great time every single time I go to this gym, due to both the problem set available and the environment created by all the other climbers who attend this gym.

Ive been going to the DRG off and on for a few years and I always love coming back to climb at this gym. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The community is embracing of all climbers no matter their ability. I love bouldering here, high climbs are challenging too. Every route/problem has a unique feel and you can tell the setters are creative and experienced. Ive lived and climbed in Boulder Colorado for the past couple years (a climbing hot spot with multiple gyms within a one mile stretch of town). The people at movement are smug, brc is a better crowd, the spot is all hipsters... and when Im at the DRG Im totally comfortable within the community. Anyway I love this place, and have nothing to gain by writing this review

Ive been going to the Doylestown Rock Gym regularly for about two months now, and have enjoyed it so far. Some routes are easier, while others are challenging. They also switch up the routes every once in a while so you arent getting bored over the same climbing route. They have a helpful staff there, and all of the classes and groups who come in to climb are all helped out and/or run well. I definitely recommend dropping by the Doylestown Rock Gym for a great rock climbing experience.

Doylestown doesnt have the long routes that Go Vertical (Philadelphia) has, and it has fewer routes, but the bouldering is much better -- more problems, and more interesting surfaces/contours. Staff and patrons here are very friendly and customer oriented -- a big difference from Go Vertical, where the staff are too cool for school and theres often no one at the desk when you come in.

My son wasnt using his membership so I tried to cancel. I called several times and couldnt get through so I looked online and saw that they require you to fax a form 30 days prior to cancel and they charge you 30 days once you cancel. So I had to pay for two months when I cancelled. I called and they woud not return my money.
