We hired Mary and Simply Unique Weddings for our wedding to put chair covers on our chairs. Paid her almost a year in advanced. Mary never showed up to our wedding and we did not have chair covers. All communication with Mary had been through Facebook. My wife contacted her through that and she asked us to send a copy of our check. She couldnt even go to her bank or have records that we paid her (very unprofessional way to run a business, shows why she didnt show up). We sent a copy of our check that she had cashed, and did not hear anything for over two weeks from her. My wife tried to contact her through Facebook again, and it took about 10 days for her to respond. She claimed she would refund our money. A month later we still had not received our money so my wife again tried to contact Mary through Facebook to no avail. Mary blocked my wife on Facebook as well as blocking myself. We tried calling her work office but never an answer. She must run her business from home. We had to go to the courthouse and the judge and had a constable issue her a date in court. She did not show. So we won a judgement for our money from Mary and Simply Unique Weddings. This judgement was issued a year ago and we have still not received our money. Our wedding was September of 2014. It has been over 2 years and all we wanted was our money and we would have dropped everything. But after court fees and chair covers we are out over $1,000. I am writing this review so you do not fall victim to her and lose your money like we did. Very poor ran business by an extremely unprofessional lady. I would go with anybody else but her and the business or you could come up empty handed.

My first meeting with Mary was at my reception venue, I wanted to make sure her chair covers looked good in the room I was using. She was a little late to the first meeting but that didnt really bother me. She brought many options with her to try on the chairs, which I loved. It was easy to pick out exactly what I wanted. She seemed to have a good handle on everything so I only had to meet with her one more time before the big day. The night before my wedding, I received a text message from Mary stating that the ivory chair covers I wanted had not been shipped in time for my wedding and that she would have to use white. Now, this angered me initially because the reason why I chose this business to do my chair cover rentals was because she offered the ivory (to match my ivory table clothes). She did put me at ease when I got to talk to her on the phone and assured me the white would look beautiful. She even sent me a picture after she was done putting everything together. When I walked into my reception with my newly married husband, I was blown away with how beautiful the chair covers looked. They transformed my reception venue and I didnt notice a difference in color at all! At the end of it all, I was very happy with Mary and her team. The teardown was perfect! I dont even remember seeing anyone (the last thing you want is a chair cover rental team tearing down while there are still guests enjoying your reception!). The prices were completely affordable and it was a no fuss process renting from this company! I would definitely recommend renting chair covers from this vendor!

My experience with Mary (Simply Unique Weddings & Events) was truly amazing! She was such a life saver! Before meeting Mary, I felt overwhelmed with the whole wedding planning process and with having to find chair covers and sashes at the last minute! I contacted Mary asking for help and she immediately took on my wedding and I am forever grateful! Not only was she a sweetheart but Mary was very professional and supportive!!! She even encouraged me to call on her whenever I had questions or needed help with some of my wedding plans, I never expected that since I only hired her for chair covers/sashes. And knowing that I had someone in my corner who understood the stress of wedding planning really calmed my nerves! On the day of my wedding, Mary and her team was there and everything looked beautiful! She came through at the last minute! Chair covers/ sashes looked great and I could not have been happier! Mary did a amazing job with my Best friend wedding not only did Mary help with just 6 months to plan but she had so many suggestions. She also met up with my friend and myself multiple times but to set up tables so that the bride could get an better idea of what it would look like. The day of the wedding my friend was breath taken by the room and was so happy with how it turned out. Not only was she happy with what Mary did but her prices were not outrageous either. I would definitely recommend Mary to any one getting married or who has a event needing that special touch.

I used Simply Unique to decorate my sister in laws baby shower last May. After trying for a baby for 13 years they were finally expecting and I wanted to throw her an epic celebration! Mary took the time to listen to my vision and not only delivered what I wanted, she went above and beyond. She brought the perfect colors to match what I wanted and she even made cute center pieces. She transformed a church basement Sunday School room into a baby shower wonderland. The look on my sister in laws face was priceless. Thank you so much Mary!!

Prices a good, but you get what you paid for. Chair cover sashes were not ironed as promised. Owner would not make this right. Very poor communication. Had to call repeatedly in order to secure contract. Guess we learned our lesson. I would not recommend this company unless you are willing to follow them from start to finish and pay a lower price vs other reputable companies.
