This year has been phenomenal for both of my children. My son is truly enjoying the activities (science experiments, art, etc.) he is doing in his pre-k class. My daughter goes to her teachers with ease, sings songs at home and does things independently that I never thought a one-year-old could do. I also find the Tadpoles emails/app to be a great enhancement to the program. I feel more connected and find myself reading over the reports more now that they are online than I did when they were on paper. My son started at Goddard at 3.5 years old quite behind in his speech development. His speech delay was the primary reason we put him in daycare. At the beginning of this year, his therapist and I together agreed that he no longer needed speech pathology services. He is now age-appropriate in every area. I credit his rapid development to many things - his own readiness, therapy, etc. - but I have also now become a huge proponent of the daycare/pre-school setting, and believe that, in the right environment, a child benefits greatly from structure, play and meaningful social interaction. This is a good daycare/pre-school. I am a reading specialist and though I teach in a high school, I feel passionate about early childhood education. I highly recommend this Goddard.

My daughter began at the Gilbertsville Goddard School as an infant, and Ive seen the school evolve into an incredible place for children to grow and thrive. Shell be heading to Kindergarten in August, and Im so sad for her to be leaving Goddard, but so very thrilled with how prepared I know she is to take on Kindergarten. Ive always felt that Goddard provides her with learning experiences that I could never have given her had she been home with me. (That said, my husband and I both work full-time, so being home was never an option.) Goddard does a great job of scheduling functions/activities that involve parents later in the day, allowing us full-time working parents to take part in things without missing work. While the fun activities and learning opportunities are wonderful, in the end my true test is whether shes happy when shes there, and she truly is. Sal, the owner, makes it a point to say hi to parents, knows the kids by name and interacts with the kids as well. Thats key - it sets the tone for the whole establishment. Its not easy selecting a daycare, but I know for myself, hearing from others always helped. I highly recommend the Gilbertsville Goddard School to anyone looking for a place for their child to learn, grow, and have fun.

While we were very happy at our last daycare, but we decided to move our children to a new school, closer to our home and work. It was a very hard decision since the kids were at the other school since they were 8 weeks old and my sister was the director there. Needless to say, I was extremely picky. I couldnt be happier with our choice to bring them to the Goddard School in Gilbertsville. The teachers have been great, we love the director and Sal has definitely made an impact on my children. My son is now in Kindergarten and we recently took both him and our daughter to a parents night out fund raiser that they held at Goddard. When we arrived to pick them up, they were both playing ball with Sal (the owner) and some other children. Upon leaving, my son cried, saying that he misses Goddard and at some point in the night they asked him what his new school was called and he accidentally said Goddard. I think that says it all :) Thank you Sal and Jenny and all the teachers that take such great care of my babies. Its not easy to trust someone with my greatest treasure, but you make it easier...

from a shy ,introverted, overly attached child to a friendly, happy, confident 5 year old was the transformation for my son , in the 18 months at the Gilbertsville Goddard school. Many thanks to the enthusiastic owner ,Sal and his wonderful staff for a Goddard school education. ITs a school that prepares a child for everyday life, teaching the fundamentals, but having fun at the same time. The teachers interact socially, musically, and although its hard, they really try and accommodate each individual childs needs. Every month they have special guests from the philly fanatic to musical acts to magicians...In the summer, the field trips to the planetariums ,fire stations and zoos will keep a child well-rounded .Oh , and they also teach too.. but it really is in a non restrictive environment with lots of enthusiasm. I would highly recommend any parent who is thinking about their childs future to give this school a try . Its education but its really nurturing and social Growth . ....assets vital to my son who just became a kindergartener and is doing wonderfully in large part to this foundation.

Our daughter has been going to this Goddard School for almost a year, and we have all been very happy with the experience. She is only part-time, but we feel that just a few days/week has made a huge difference in her academic and emotional development. The owner and the director are both very personable and eager to connect with families, which is a huge improvement over other centers we have attended with our two older children in the past. The teachers are friendly and we feel secure with them. They just installed some new security features in the entry way that are a huge plus for keeping the kids safe. Weve been impressed with the number of community oriented events that take place throughout the year. Our favorite was a really impressive art show that they put on featuring the kids art projects. They recently added daily e-mail updates with photos, which we love. Both the director and the owner are very quick to respond to questions/concerns, their dedication and love for children is evident.

My oldest son has been at the Gilbertsville Goddard School for over 5 years now, from infant room to now in the Kindergarten Enrichment program. My youngest has been enrolled for two years. The teachers care for each child individually, paying attention to their likes and interests as well as special attention to allergies and the kids quirks :). I love the balance between education and "being a kid". The programs are structured so the children learn life skills, letters and numbers, new words, art, and other items in a fun environment that lets each child explore his or her independence while still being in a group/team environment. As another reviewer mentioned, the new daily reports via email are awesome. I love getting pictures of the kids doing their activities - it brightens my day and its great for reminders like bring diapers/wipes or its "yellow" day tomorrow. You get more personal messages about your kids as well.

My twin boys started with Gilbertsville Goddard school at the age of 16 months and left at the age of 6 years old (from infant room to Kindergarten enrichment class)! The school is really great at transitioning kids from one class to another. The one thing I am really proud of this school is that everyone at the school is so willing to work with me when my boys ran into some behavioral issues. They were willing to try new things to help them learn, grow and address the behavioral challenges. They strive to help the kids and are not willing to give up easily even during tough times. The school is also very understanding and flexible with tuition fees when one of my sons was suddenly hospitalized for a period of time. Overall, I would recommend this school to any parents. Thank you very much, Goddard school, for all you have done for the boys and your patience with them as well!
