This center is ok. Alot of the staff are young girls (some still in highschool) which I would have nothing against (since I am a young teacher) if they would apply themselves and do more than the bare minimum...ie. play with the kids and not stand around and socialize, plan lessons and actually implement them as well as activities. This was not only a problem with the young girls but the other older staff members as well. My son was having trouble with potty training and one staff member was pushing him, everyday. I feel that this only made him more resistant. The staff finally just stopped even taking him to the bathroom to try!!! This was completely undermining all my attempts at home!!! Not only that, they wouldnt move him up to the next room because he wasnt potty trained...so hes 4 and still in the 2 yr old room?? My son has told me that they have been watching a couple movies a day?! Although this area is extremely limited, search for other daycares, they are small but this one is overpriced (for the lack of a structured enviornment) and not good enough for your child. As far as being clean it was ok, again some of the young girls seem to be somewhat lazy (Im not trying to sterotype, I would have no problem with the age group if they were more into their job). They have a large outside play area, however several times when the weather was perfectly fine out, my son said they didnt go out because Miss so and so said it was too hot, or too cold. When it was fine...not 70 and balmy but thats no reason to keep them couped up all day. There was one instance where my son said that they couldnt go out because one child was still sick! Shouldnt he be kept at home until he is better?

Please Stay Away From This Daycare!!! Do not put your child in this center. The center should be called Greencastle Daycare because there isnt any learning done. Annette makes excuses for her lazy staff and doesnt run her business in a professional manner and she is never there nor does she care about the children in her center. It is all a show and her staff feels the same way I do. This center is a joke to Keystone Stars Program and the town of Greencastle. The lack of leadership and quality care and the reputation of this facility around town is that they have heard awful things about that place. Some of the girls are nice and do what is required but look out for the 3s n 4s room and pre k room. The teachers are lazy, they blame the child for everything and they do not know how to talk or treat children with respect. The easiest thing for them and her to do is to label your child as a behavior problem and force you to leave because Annette doesnt want to handle the real problem which is her staff and the lack of experience and education when it comes to handling children. Stay away from this daycare at all costs please find a in home care or go to another center outside of Greencastle you child will not benefit from anything they tell you during first meeting.

My Mom worked at this daycare and at first she loved working there until, the boss was not paying her the right amount for the hours that she was working there, Some of the teachers were rude to her, Some times she worked in other rooms, when she had her own room, She had her room moved around, and then the boss took her room away from her. If you people think that this is the best daycare ever you must be on high drugs. This daycare sucks. The childrens bathroom in the front of the daycare has no door, the break room is used as storage, The layout is weird you have to walk through the 2 year old room to get to pre-k. And the worst thing is that she fires people for no reason. And when I went with my mom to work, she charged my mom for bringing me, The owner Annette is a soulless person. And some of the people that are working there dont even like her. Others that work there and say that she is nice are messed up in the head. If you want a great person to take care of your child I suggest an inhome daycare, a nanny, babysitter, or even an family member. Im warning you DONT GO TO THIS DAYCARE!!!

I love GLS and my daughter loves it! When people say it takes a village to raise a child they are not lying and they are my village! My daughter is in the preschool age group age 4 and can not wait to go to daycare! In fact she learned to write her name at GLS not preschool they taught her to read, and due to her being an emotional child handle her tantrums amazingly! When theres even the slightest red mark I get a full accident reportBut most of all I cant thank Annette and Krista enough for helping our family and our daughter transition to head start and a new day care

We were quite impressed by this place, it sits off of the main road which is a nice safety feature and the building is secure not everyone can walk right in. The staff have been making an attempt to get to know myself and my child. My little one is starting to talk about her new friends and her favorite teacher. I am very happy to have found this place and happier still that they had a spot open for my child. We still love attending GLC. Everyone says hi and they all our childrens names.

They provide the worst care possible. Annette makes excuse for her lazy staff and does not operate her business in a professional manner. She is never there when I would drop off my son. He would have marks and bruises that they would not tell me about and then when I brought them up, they would make more excuse. PLEASE stay away from this daycare.

Weve used this daycare center for 4 years and we love it. They have fair prices, knowledgeable caregivers, and they even use my cloth diapers! In addition, the older children get lots of education with circle time and their teachers are absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend them to anyone!
