My wife and I picked this place to send our twins because the staff seemed very nice and willing to work with our financial situation. We sent our kids there for about three months while my wife was in school. When she stopped school we had a written agreement that they could come back at the same cost when school started back. Seemed like everything would work out. When we took our kids back about a month later to start they gladly took our security deposit and first weeks check only to be told when we picked the kids up that our agreement did not matter and that we would need to pay double what we were paying to bring our kids back. The lady that we had the agreement with had moved on to greener pastures and we were now dealing with the owner who was extremely rude to say the least. We decided to move to a different place that was closer to home and a little cheaper than what we would now have to pay at Walnut Grove. Fast forward to tax season....we called to request the tax id number (EIN) for Walnut Grove to supply to the IRS. We were told that they would not provide it to us. We were told that we would have to pay an additional hundred dollars on top of the $175 that we had paid when we had our contract "null and voided" during our last encounter. The lady on the phone rudely told us that she was the owner and that is how she does things. This is not a company that I would recommend to anyone solely based on their business ethics. The owner is extremely rude and unhelpful. If the daycare is stressful to the parent, it makes me wonder how it was for the kids. By the way...if you need the EIN it is: 54-1574747

I would not recommend this daycare to anyone. My kids attended this daycare for almost two years. I will say I loved all the teaches that cared for my children. What I was very unhappy with was the Director Ms. Tanya. Long story, my family had to relocate our kids because my son was starting school at a Elementary school across town. I then gave the Director my two weeks written notice on that Tuesday. I explained everything to Ms. Tanya. I had to prepare my kids for the change in daycare. In doing so, I would try to explain that the new daycare had cool playgrounds and they will love it. My husband called me at work on Friday to tell me that we were kicked out. Ms. Tanya packed all of our kids stuff and had it waiting at the door. She told my husband that my 3 year old daughter told her teacher that the new daycare had better teachers. I NEVER told my kids that!! Apparently my 3 year old offended them. When I got home my daughter wouldnt stop crying because she thought she got them kicked out. They didnt give us a chance to say goodbye. One of the teachers told me that the kids werent learning anything. Dont get your hopes up about their computer room, only 2 work. My kids never stepped foot in that room.Walnut Grove was so unprofessional. Im glad we made the decision to switch schools, my kids couldnt be happier.

I recently worked at WG3 and left to pursue a teaching career, and what I can say is that working here was truly a blessed experience. The owners were nothing but committed to providing the very best childcare at a more than reasonable price. When I started in May Ms. Jen made it consistently clear that the babies come first. She planned all the activities herself so that the only thing teachers had to do was keep the babies engaged and safe. I had blast working in the toddler room. Dont get me wrong it was extremely strenuous but Ms. Jen always tried to see the good in every situation. She was a tough boss to work for because she set high standards, but at the same time the quality was consistent. I encourage anyone looking to start a career working with children to go to Walnut Grove. Parents- Finding a childcare provider is tough, but know that Ms. Jen and Mr. Lodi would take care of your babies like their own.

I worked hear for a while at first I was blessed to have the job. As time went one I loved the kids and the people I worked with but the people I worked for lied a lot, they would talk about other places and how bad they were. I never even got a pay rase and I worked their for a year and a half made 8.50 and hour and always had to work night sifts. they never had enugh staff to cover if you could not come in and if you were sick you had to come in. if you did not come in you had to work your whole shift and part of someone elses shift with out a break. when were working and they were low staff you had to work over time. some days if you were an opener you had to work from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. it I not a great place to work you are miserable most of the time.
