I was having issues in my house where appliances were turning off during operation and lights were flickering. A google search indicated that this could be a fire hazard. I called my usual electrician and waited. After several hours of waiting and never hearing anything back I called four other electricians and didnt hear a single thing from any of them either. I reached out to my plumber and asked for a recommendation -- he recommended JDV and they called me within a few minutes of me reaching out. The woman on the phone was extremely polite and helpful and let me know someone could come out that same day. She even called me prior to their arrival so I would have an idea when they would be here. Joe was on-site and diagnosed the issue. He was able to diagnose my problem quickly and was able to do the repairs the same week (permits were required so he had to come back). Overall I am extremely happy with JDV -- I already recommended them to family members and will be using them for more work within the next few months. You cant go wrong with JDV!

I dont normally writes reviews but the after my experience with JDV Electric, I felt I had to take the time out to let others know about them. I recently invested in a home and wanted to have recessed lighting installed. After reading local reviews and doing some research, I decided to go with JDV Electric. Joe, the electrician who came out for the service arrived promptly as scheduled. He was very courteous and professional and took the time to answer all of my questions. He made me feel comfortable and at ease with job he was going to perform. While the pricing was competitive, the real value was provided by his attention to detail and remarkable customer service. Although they arent the largest contractors in the area, their level of service and professionalism has to be on par with the best of them. Ive recommended JDV Electric to all those I know and its certain that I will be calling Joe again the next time I need more work done.

Joe, the owner of JDV, arrived within the scheduled 2 hour window and called 30-minutes before arriving. He was professionally dressed groomed and scented. He wore boot protectors indoors. He was patient, friendly and intelligent. He immediately got to work investigating and solving the problem. He thoroughly tested the implementation to make sure everything worked properly before moving on to the next issue. He listened to my friendly banter and volleyed appropriately sized responses. He answered all additional questions that i had and even gave unsolicited advice to issues i had not noticed or thought of. He charged what was quoted. He was not pushy for further services. He was the dream contractor. He backed up his stellar reputation with irreproachable service and unassailable character. I will undoubtedly use him for all of my future electrician needs.

Joe of JDV, came to our rescue when a contractor had installed electrical work he determined in our new kitchen that was not in PA electrical code. Not only was it not in code, but it had been wired dangerously, putting our home in peril. He not only completely rewired the kitchen for new appliances as well as helped us with the lighting design in our kitchen. He also updated our electrical circuit board which could not have supported our new kitchen appliances in addition to existing circuitry. He also completely labeled our board checking all circuitry in our home. His customer service was impeccable. He was very clear at explaining the situation. His work was neat and complete. Of most importance we now feel safe and secure that the electrical work in our kitchen and home is safe.

JDV sent the electricians shortly after I requested help since they were finishing a job nearby. Joe & Steve were extremely nice and diagnosed the situation. I loved that they put booties on before entering the house. They isolated the garbage disposal switch and determined there was no power to the disposal. Joe gave me a very reasonable estimate and therefore proceeded to change out the switch which was in need of repair & was not grounded. They worked together and replaced the switch & when powered up, the garbage disposal worked perfectly. I am incredibly pleased with their efficiency and professionalism. If I ever need an electrician, I will always use JDV and recommend JDV to any of my family, friends, and neighbors. Thank you very, very much for a great job!

I had a 100amp service with new electrical entry cable and a new electrical panel installation on 10/29/14. Joe was extremely professional, courteous, and informative. He communicated with me via text the night before to confirm the appointment and was at my house 10 minutes ahead of schedule the next day. He did the job quickly and cleanly while being very respectful of my home. He explained everything that he was doing and answered all of my questions. When I asked him what things actually needed to be done now and what things were less important, he gave me a straightforward answer. I will definitely be using him in the future when I need any other electrical work done.

We had a great experience with JDV Electric. Joe was incredibly reliable, came to our house on short notice, and did a fantastic job. I also appreciated that he was honest with me about his recommendations and, for example, helped steer me away from a project I wanted completed on our mantle because it was unclear whether or not the job would ruin the mantle. I think there are a lot of other people who would have gone ahead and cut into the mantle not knowing what would happen but at least they could charge us for it. However, Joe is honest and fair, which is the most important quality to us as new homeowners. We will definitely be using JDV Electric again.

I would like to say that JD Electric LLC is one of the most professional and honest companies and services that I have ever received. He installed a new box and out let for a new stove... he also moved the old stove and disconnected.... he also installed a new fuse. He did this all in a very timely fashion on the morning of my new stove being delivered. I am very pleased with the service and not only would I hire them again... I have once before this time and he installed a new fuse box... it works great.... it pays to have some one who actually knows what they are doing... do the work. I highly recommend this company !! The guys arrived at exactly the time they said they would be here. All pricing is up front, there are no scams to worry about with these guys. They diagnosed the problem within a few minutes and had my dead circuit back up and running in no time. They also went through my breaker box and tightened loose connections and and did a few other visual inspections to ensure they covered everything. I wouldnt hesitate to use them again for any other electric work in the future. Clean, professional and thorough. Great work JDV Electric!

I promise you that JDV is the exact opposite of that. Joe was friendly, courteous and honest.
