If youre a curly girl like me, ask for Bethany. She invested in specialty curly hair cutting technique training & it shows! Certified hair genius. Not sure what ax a previous reviewer has to grind, but my experience at The Sapphire in Moosic has been exemplary & Ive had my hair cut or colored there 8-10 times in the last 2.5 years. I drive 2.5 hours from Central PA to have it done, so that alone should tell you something. Theyve always accommodated my requests, even last minute & I was once very late & my stylist was kind enough to stay for me. The Aveda color is amazing & non-damaging. The curly cut is expensive, but so worth it. Five stars. Atmosphere is plain but busy & friendly. Gel-manicures are great but vary a bit from manicurist to manicurist, make sure you get one who pays attention to the tiny details, like the edges. Recommended without reservation.

omg if this is the same one that moved to pittston then....bad bad bad. the place is one of the TACKIEST places i have ever seen. i got a my hair dyed and cut by one of their top stylists and she did not achieve the color i wanted at all ANDDDD she cut WAY to much off my length...im mad because i have been trying to grow it out again after i donated 10 inches 8 months ago...i had finally got it to a decent length and now i feel like im right back where i started =( my wedding is in 4 months and i may need to even get extensions because of this. to top it off....for this one color highlight and cut it ran me 160 dollars...i have NEVER payed that much.....i wasnt even asked if i would like a drink. That is wierd to me because my normal salon will take your jacket make you coffee or even a glass of wine while you are hair is setting.

I went to this salon years ago as it was recommended to me. The stylist I had was fantastic (and for this one person I would give 5 stars). However, the business management falls way short of acceptable. From problems booking appointments for multiple services, to last minute cancellations of appointments that were booked months in advance, and then unfortunately witnessing (multiple times) the reprimanding of and/or conflict between workers, I have been disappointed on way too many occasions. I expressed this to them, but I guess I dont matter much because I never heard back. Of course Im hoping theyve changed.

Yesterday was a personally insane day for me with my 2 boys... the receptionist was able to squeeze me in to my "can I be there in 20 minutes" request and remembered my rush demands when I called later in the day for my boys to get their amazing haircuts from Louie aka Luigi and Im unsure of the other womans name... My eyebrows came out great but they got a glob of wax in my long hair that I didnt realize until it was too far to turn back... even with the embedded wax in my hair everyone was so amazing that I didnt even care that much...Love this place and Ill definitely be back!

Wife went here to get a haircut before vacation. Stylist cut her hair so short there is nothing anyone can do to salvage it. When she told them she wouldnt pay unless they fixed it, the salon threatened to charge her with theft. Avoid this place at all costs.
