Joe the owner of Holy Hedge Estate has incompetent employees (Key Fox) whom offered to make my wedding inviations and mailed them out. She did not even check the date! She put the WRONG DATE WITH THE WRONG DAY and mailed it to all of my guests. Joe called and said they will not take responsibility for this service! Key then set up cake taste testing of which the wrong cakes were prepared for the testing and when I kindly mentioned this to the baker Jeanine got the paperwork that Key filled out WITH her signature and again Key made another mistake. Joe called me and stated that he was insulted that I made him aware of these mistakes and canceled my wedding which is in 6 weeks. Later that day I decided to see what experiences other brides have had with Holy Hedge Estate. If you use your CELL PHONE to view REAL reviews you will see that many brides say that Holy Hedge offers up a dose of ATTITUDE and INCOMPETENCE. Joe the owner should READ THE REVIEWS and see that mobile reviews state the following: 1. Attitude problem 2. Musty oders in every room of 1740 House due to previous floods one reviewer stated they could not get the musty oder out of their clothing after staying at 1740 house they stated it was too late to book another lodging accomodation. 3. Bridal reviews state to RUN because of the incompetence. Joe when I spoke to you I was addressing the issues yet you took them personally and yelling at me because I brought this to your attention is in no way professional. Saying I have "fancy friends" well yes I do. I would call the White House Chef a fancy friend and I planned on bringing my fancy friends to you for business but since you said that you also have "fancy friends" in a condesending way is the "attitude" that many people are saying they are experiencing from your business. By the way your suppression campaign to write your own reviews on the internet are glarringly fake so why dont you address the real issues at hand. I was merely letting you know that you needed to address problems. Taking it personally is unprofessional and I am glad to find a facility that will provide me with the professional service that any bride should expect.

I recently attended a wedding here, and when it came to parking my vehicle they had valets before you even got near the parking area. And i thought since its since its such a small venue that valet would be somewhat mandatory since there isnt much parking. Well against my better judgement I let the valet park my car, and as my girlfriend kept trying to drag me away I insisted on standing there as he moved it. Thankfully I did because he revd it chugged forward almost stalled and partially slipped my clutch in to spinning the wheels and almost hitting the stone wall to the right of my car. Needless to say I flipped out and the valets response was "you could have said no" Im like are you serious your parking a 40k car and you forget to mention you cant drive manual? The manger for the night offered no help other than he was going to give the valets a talking to and he apologized which means nothing to me. I guess when they put a car through a wall or kill somebody theyll make a personal change. Im putting this here to as an insurance incase this happens to someone else and the venue claims its the first time its happened. Also Id like to add that they didnt even have enough seats for the wedding approximately 20 people were left standing eating dinner because they cant do simply math ether. So as i bring this to a close Id like you to remember three words that summarize this venue, incompetent, unapologetic, deplorable. Since google forces you to give a star Ill credit it to the idea of this place even though it was poorly executed.

My husband and I were married at Holly Hedge this past June. The grounds were beautiful and the food was great. In meetings leading up to the wedding the staff was nothing but professional. However, the day of my wedding there were several issues that were handled in an unprofessional manner. The biggest issue we had was regarding the fountain in the ceremony space. I was told in meetings leading up to the wedding that the fountain would be turned off during the ceremony, so that guests could hear what was happening at the altar and the music from our string quartet. About five minutes before the ceremony the fountain is still on. My father-in-law finds our supervisor for the day and asks her to please turn off the fountain and she said that will be turned off. Never happened. The fountain was left on the entire time. I recently spoke with my videographer and she said you cant hear a word that was said up at the altar. We also had a string quartet playing that people couldn’t hear. We recently brought up the fountain issue as well as our other issues with Holly Hedge and we were basically told that there is nothing they can do. I am upset beyond words that my wedding video is ruined and that we are out several thousand dollars for a video that is unusable. The professional thing to do would be to compensate for what was clearly a mistake on Holly Hedge’s part. But as I learned during the day of my wedding, Holly Hedge is anything but professional.

My niece Heather Meher married Zack Dice on January 7th 2017 at Holly hedge Estates. The experience I wanted to let you all know is on January 7th it was our first snow storm and we got 5 and 1/2 inches of snow thats day. And relatives and Friends some of them had cancelled. And there were some staff members at Holly hedge Estates that call out too. But that did not stop the rest of the Holly hedge Estates staff that did come and made it absolutely a wonderful day for my niece Heather. You never knew that they were short at all. The staff was wonderful they were professional, the food was great everyone had fun. Especially my great-niece Sophie who got on the dance floor and started dancing. I want to tell you my family had a great time. And I come from a huge family. So I wanted to tell you if youre getting married and just got engaged my suggestion to you is to come Holly hedge Estates. Fall or winter or summer I guarantee you will have a wonderful experience.

I have covered video several times at Hollyhedge Estate. Its by far one of my favorite places to shoot portraits. You can have it all right here.. Get ready in your bridal suite, have your first look and there are so many nooks to take great shots. You can have a lovely ceremony outdoors, or in the barn in the weather is bad-- the staff is very accommodating and so friendly. I love that is it so private, your family can stretch out and have the place to yourselves and party all night. The food was great. And then you can stay the night and have a family breakfast with everyone in the morning.

HollyHedge blends a farm-style event space with bed & breakfast, likely playing host to weddings all year round. The scale, however, leans more toward the event space in contrast to other bed and breakfast places nearby, and can be less than accommodating to guests while preparing for parties, etc... This place definitely checks all the boxes for a wedding venue with places to stay for attendees, but I would recommend more quaint B&Bs in the area (such as 1740 House) if youre visiting for a weekend. (That said, the banquet hall is well designed with a great dancefloor!)
