Totally unprofessional , my daughter and I went there this morning so she can get her hair done for her banquet and graduation. We walk in the shop its just and maybe 7-8 stylists in there the one in the very front directs my baby ( and I use that term very lightly) towards two Shampoo stations so my baby sits down and now hear is where I really held my peace .....As I am about to sit down I noticed that nobody is getting up and theyre looking around at each other in the face like: "who getting up"?! With the side eyes ... My baby is starting to get embarrassed because as they are still sitting at their station!!!! Now the looks on some of them become a look of : "oh Im not touching her hair !! " , Who touching it!? ,cause Im not!... .....So finally as not to embarrass my baby or my self respect... I got up and told my baby lets go!!!......And we walked out!!..... If you have any self respect dont let them treat you like your trash that stinks...Spend your money else where.... I would spend my money in that place even if it would end world hunger!!! And I wouldnt get my hair done in there if they said I would get a free life time supply of hair styles!!! ....Im just so thankful it was empty and my baby did not have to be humiliated!!!!...... CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!!!

I first got introduced to the Dominican Hair Salons by a friend in High School. After my first Dominican hair experience there was no turning back. I ended up going to college in Philly so a cousin referred me to this particular salon off of Lehigh. Unlike a lot of over salons in the city, this one is very spacious with a good amount of chairs available. I am half black/ half white so finding a good salon is always hard for me. I guarantee after leaving this salon, no matter what texture or length of hair you may have, you will walk out feeling great! I suggest getting there a little on the early side because the salon often gets packed in the afternoon, especially on the weekends. If you get stuck in the afternoon rush you will have to wait to get your hair washed, wait to get it in rollers, wait for a dryer, and then wait for a stylists chair to open. I suggest going around 10am or even earlier for speedy service. The hair dressers are very friendly, and even though not all of them speak English, I guarantee someone in there will be available to translate. I love this Salon definitely check it out!

I absolutely F%$&ING hate it here, Ive went a couple of times with my husband for him to get braids an everytime they came out messed up. Just like today we went an waited for atleast 2 an half hours with only two customers in the store. An then she didnt even do the hair the way my husband requested !! An to top it off not even 6hours later of getting them done they come out an he wasnt doing anything to mess them up but riding in the car taking deliveries. This place is a JOKE !!! Will never ever recommend anyone coming here !

How can you seriously write a review when you didnt get your hair done there? I do and the service is great. Lizbeth, the owner, in the first chair behind the register, aims to please. For anyone with an issue....talk to her. As for English speaking technicians...some of them are and if in real need - speak to the tall light-skinned gentleman who is always there AND speaks English.

Wash girl didnt wash my hair good i didnt feel cleansed and imnot a fan of there deep conditioner. I will go back becuz the lady who did my hair slayed & im going when i get off work today hope my stylist os there. For the people who posting bad reviews, you have to speak up the next time tell them what you want &how you want it, try someone new next time or dont go back.

Every single time I leave this salon my hair is NOT bone straight and they dont know how to clip ends. This chick cut almost 3 inches off my hair when all I asked for was a simple trim of my ends. As long as there is breath in my body I will NEVER step foot in this place again. I dont care how clean or convenient it is.

I Love my hair but the water was cold when she washed it she didnt take her time to comb my hair she was so rough and you should always comb from the end to the root but she didnt do that i have a sew-in weave and she brought it back to life thats i why i give 73 strs

I walked in a got service right away. I love how my hair came out. The $ is unbeatable. i use to pay double @ an AA hair salon. Im natural so all i need is a Good Wash and nice Blow out. Going Back tomorrow. I hope to get the same Woman who did my hair before:)

This place is a mess. The shampoo girl scratches your head to hard and she does properly wash the back of your hair. The stylist does not take the time to pin curl your hair the right way. Then they argue with you when you say that you dont like your hair.

i came here for the first time and they put mad oil on my hair and burned it up.. I also took my daughter and they didnt even know how to do curls on her hair.. first and last time I will step foot at a Dominican salon.

The water was ice cold when washing my hair. My stylist burnt my entire scalp with the blow-dry. My daughter edges were not straightened. The man taking the money was to preoccupied with his phone to check me out

Love love love this place! Although my favorite stylist is no longer here I still cant bring myself to return to a "black" salon where I paid over double what I pay here and hair doesnt look half as nice!

The shop is supposed to open at 8am. It is 9:08am and all of the workers and customers have been sitting outside in the cold for over an hour. Very disappointing.
